Marcus Maddison has a 2.5 million release clause in his contract, come on Radz get this deal done before we hear he is off to Derby or some other club! No excuses!

Where would you play Maddison with the acquisition of Harrison?

Left midfield. Play Harrison on right where he is equally adept and he'll cut inside. Nightmare for defenders. They could also possibly alternate wings in the second half if Maddy was game.

Imagine this, Maddison and Harrison wide in midfield being supported by Ayling and Douglas as full backs? I think that is enough to scare the sh1t out of any championship defence.

Not seeing as much investment as the funds we have would allow . Rads said he had £20m to invest plus £10m from 49'rs, final £5m instalment on Woods and now £7m from RV and we have cleared out loads of wages on dead wood, We should have £40 odd million in the kitty . We have spent £3m on Douglas and that might include his wages for duration of contract as well.

I am not unhappy with NOT spending good money on average player. I don't profess to be an "Championship Manager" expert but just keeping my eye on the regular sites i can't see any transfer that has made me feel jealous.

Would have liked Bartley to come back but i am guessing at his transfer fee and our alleged warchest if our manager had wanted him then we could have competed

Same with Flint, but £8m is a lot for a 28-29yo that has not played at a higher level

I thought £11m for Vydra was about right, considering what Fulham have paid for that Newcastle player. But if he is going to be difficult about it then we are right to be looking further a field

I think we spent unwisely and too proliferantly last summer. I for one am glad it is more thought out this year.

Dear Mr Radz

I have just been on NewsNow and read that Bryan is being bid for. Derby seem to be offering £3m for him!

He is 24yo. Left footed. Can play defence or midfield. Loves to attack.

Could we not use some of the Viera money and absolutely boss the right hand side of every opponent with a Douglas/ Bryan combination?

We could then use Pablo in a more appropriate No10 role. Alternating with Saiz

From what i have been reading about young Harrison you have already played a blinder there. With the rejuvenated Ayling we are already destined to boss every opponents left side

I don't think a centre back is of that importance seeing as the opponents aren't going to be able to supply their strikers

Glass half full. nah. its bloody overflowing.

Bamford transfer is a done deal and he is now a Leeds Utd player. £10m apparently and our most expensive acquisition since 2001.

Just read that Abe has failed his medical in Moscow, but, they may take a chance on him IF he lowers his wage demands. Hmmmm, bullet dodged?

well he did spend the lions share of last season out injured.

He should be signing a pay when you play contract not demanding big wages knowing he is not 100%.

Staff More like he passed medical but CSK using it to lower his wage demands.

Vydra is a proper footballer imo and a proper loss for Leeds.
Bamford the same, a good player but can he get the 20 odd plus goals we need? A few years back for Boro he was superb so its definitely in him but i'm still not sure.
The 2 Pboro lads. Marriot for me is a big risk after one good season so let fat Frank have him but Madison looks like an assist machine. Stats can be deceptive especially in lower leagues.
We really need one if not two CBs though and i'm pretty sure the boss knows the same.

The club were not happy with his attitude or wage demands and apparently his fitness was also suspect. If he was all that why wouldn't Frank want to keep him but Derby are keen to sell. Do we really want that kind of player at ER?

Not sure he was a loss. Think he was above himself, how many have we seen have a prolific season sold for ten mill plus then bomb the next 3 years. Plus not sure what he would have added to team moral or if he would have gotten that head through the dressing room door.

Having subsequently read of the reasons the deal fell through i have to agree Alf and BIGE. Good player though.

Viera cash is a good deal. The lad showed promise but his poor passing skills would never work under Bielsa. Rather cash in now then get maybe 2 mill after him sitting on bench for a season.

i agree but the deal still isn't great, his reputation at the moment is at least worth 15 mil, even though he isn't as good as people think.

#CORKWHITE1.If you believe that is a good deal for Viera, I have a bridge I would like to sell you. You mention in the post above this that you think that signing Marriott and/ or Maddison would be a mistake and tbh you have a fair point. Then you seem happy to write off an England U20 international after a fairly average season by the standard he set himself in his first season, worse than that you probably don't even see the contradiction.
