Strong rumour that Stephen Mcphail is wanted back at Leeds a source close to the player has said Leeds is the only club Mcphail would go to if he left Cardiff because he never wanted to leave if the first place

Source? Time frame? would this involve the player returning in Jan? When is he out of contract?

Not really wanted anymore.Was a really good footballer but at the end of the day he's not got an engine to get around the park and i'm afraid thats what u need in modern game .(just like kilkenny tbh)

The key words in that statement you just made are 'would' & 'if'. I think you are reading too much into an innocent statement.
To me that is saying he wants to stay at cardiff, & will not be leaving. If he is forced out he would only return to leeds.
Nothing in there says that he actually 'wants' to leave cardiff & join us

When at Leeds it was a shame that he didn't get more games since at the time he was probably the best passer of the ball that we had. True, he was like Kilkenny and didn't play 100 mile an hour football and didn't run around like a headless chicken but what he lacked in that department was more than made up in other areas-like Kilkenny!

He was a lot like Batty I thought, and that was probably because they played together. That again echoes his lack of pace, but his distribution was, and still is fantastic. A great holding midfielder imo, but if he was amazing, he'd've played at a higher level, and he hasn't. No prem clubs have come in for him because he is what he is, and nothing more. It would be a step backwards if you ask me, just like all the other ex Leeds players linked with the club
