Friday signing of a creative central midfielder in time for Saturday's game planned by Leeds Utd.
Masimmo back on thurs to oversee the signing.
Outside chance but it might be a double signing with a left full back.
Quality players only need apply.

Only allowed 5 loanees in a team so doubt there will be 2 signed as we already have 4

What if one goes back or even two?
Are you only allowed 5 over the course of the window or more if you send some back??
Agree0

Extract from FL regulations 52.2.1 A maximum of 5 loan Players (Standard, International, Emergency or Youth) can be named in the Players listed on a team sheet for any individual match played under the auspices of The League. This figure shall include any additional loan of a goalkeeper approved by the Executive under the provisions of Regulation 54.
The way I read it you can have as many loanees as you want as long as they are not listed on the team sheet.
Agree2
Disagree0
Exactly. It doesn't matter how many loanees you have in the squad as long as you don't name more than 5 in the 18 for the game.
I say send Kebe back and get some more in.

Brian seems keen to get at least one more player. We are still short of creative players. Kebe has been a disaster. doesn't seem that interested. Agree. send him back.

5 loan players on a team sheet. How deliberately obtuse do you have to be? No one needs to be sent back anywhere. Send Kebe back? No thanks. The guy has enormous talent. Get some more in. Who are the people who think we have to ship one out to get another in? PK

Kebe talent?

Stewart far worse than Kebe!

We might not HAVE to send one back . we just need to . Kebe is shocking!

"Kebe talent?"
Must admit I've seen nothing to suggest this in his games for Leeds, in fact I'd have to agree with those who want to send him back, at this rate.
I think Stewart did slightly better in the QPR game but is still lacking, unfortunately we can't send him back, so hopefully he will improve.

We can only have five loan signings.We only have one place left.

Wonder if kebe left his enormous talent back at palace then.
Agree1

Kebe is a waste of space we need someone who is going to work hard on the pitch and create goal scoring opportunities and Kebe doesn't do that
MOT!
Agree3

The person who referred to Kebe as talent must be a Reading fan who doesn't want him back!
Agree3
Disagree0
We can now only get one more loan player
Agree0

Simple fact is a manager can bring in as many loan signings as he wants as long as there is only "5" named on the match day team sheet of the day . Whether that's on the pitch or the bench.

{Ed003's Note - this is correct}
Send both back
Stewarts not good enough-no confidence or skilled enough
Kebe - ditto, plus not interested!

Why not give Ariyibi a chance, especially if we're definitely not getting a 6th place.

Its no wonder Stewart and Kebe have no confidence when people continue to slate them the whole time.
Agree0
Disagree2
I'm so pleased to see that other people are noticing how bad Stewart and Kebe are, I thought it was just me been critical, Stewart is totaly out of his depth, Leeds United are too big a step up for him, he's stage struck, he should return to non league football or Sunday football, but he would also struggle with that, he is the worst player I have ever seen in a Leeds shirt and I go back to the 60s, and believe me I've seen some Sh.te, Kebe is no better. I think they were panick loans, good job they'll be going in the summer, because you really don't want to be burdened with more DEADWOOD.
Agree1
Disagree0
I can't remember either player getting booed by the fans so it's not the supporters who are sapping their confidence . If they put a decent shift in every now and again they might actually get a cheer!
Agree0

For so called supporters that can't read!!
You can have as many loan signings as you want (look at Watford last year) you can only name 5 in the match day squad ;)

Don't think Brian would bring in a 16 year old for his first taste of football when trying to make a playoff push

To be fair - 3 countries are trying to chase him to tie him down to them. He's said he wants to go on load for game time. Seen him a few times play for arsenal youth, mainly when they played out in Asia. Guy has an unreal vision for through balls.

{Ed001's Note - wouldn't matter anyway, Prem rules were changed a few years back to stop under 18s from moving on loan. So, unless they have changed them again and I have missed it, he can't go anywhere this season.}

Been on local radio a few times today reporting that BMD is confident of making another Loan signing this week.

Also the OS put something up regarding new signings, which is very rare for them to do so, until a signing is done, so a deal must be pretty close to the line.

Just total nonsense, Stewart is now a Leeds player whether you like it or not, and you have no idea what Celino said to BMD after the game any more than I do, and I wasn't there - though I suspect you weren't either.

I don't think siggurdson would join us and the last poster is right how do you know what has been said between BMcD and Cellino. How do you become privvy to there convos.

Snoopy MOT, have a word with yourself! There are a shed load of players out there that are too good to play for us at the moment. We are an average Championship team, who, unfortunately cannot command top international players, despite how much you love the club. Gylfi would be a great signing, but I am sure he could play for most top tier teams in Europe, so why wouldn't he!

I agree with you Mr Realistic. This blinkered view of 'every man and his dog should want, no need, no ACHE to play for Leeds United' is part of the problem when it comes to crushing mentally fragile players. Yes we're a big club with massive history but in the here and now we are average. This is not to say we won't be big again. Slowly and surely we'll creep back and before you know it, BOOM, back in the big time signing quality players. 'Messi isn't too good for us'. I almost prolapsed after reading that one. Come on boys, i'm a believer in my club. Many of you may be stop gap fillers and will move on when we reach the Premiership again. Play to the best of your ability, however Championship or League 1 that ability may be. That's all I can ask of you.
Agree2
Disagree0
You want realism, well sigurdson is an average premiership performer and a good championship player at best.
But I stand by. My comment no player is to big for our mighty club.
As in if we go up we can attract the bigger names where as clubs like Aston villa struggle to attract the best.
You should change your name to Mr pedantic.

{Ed007's Note - I'll stick my neck out and 100% guarantee you that Messi will never play for Leeds Utd.}

Mr Dreamer! We were a big club in League One. BMD was given next season to get us promoted. This season was to lay foundations and get everyone going in the right direction - which I believe he was doing. Some fans on here sound like dole scroungers. They want it on a plate, they want it now and they want someone else to pay for it!

{Ed007's Note - LOL A friend of mine (Chic Charnley) had a trial with Celtic in 1994, it just so happened it was against Man Utd in Mark Hughes' testimonial so I know that anything can happen. Lou Macari was sacked by Celtic before any deal was signed but if you listen to him you would think he had played at the top level for years. For all I know Messi could be a huge El Hadji Diouf fan and turn up for a friendly.}
Iam not saying we have a chance of signing Messi, iam being positive in the sense that no one would of believed what oleary almost pulled off way back when.
But we did it I'm questioning fans who are so humdrum about are chances
Keep the faith mcd is a good gaffer and I still believe we will sneak the play offs, and if any of you nay sayers think otherwise commit to buying me a playoff final ticket if your so sure it won't happen.
I will await a sea of back tracking comments.

We need to get the lawyers on the case to look at whether we can rescind on the Stewart agreement! Even if we have to pay some form of damages, could be preferable to having to pay him off in 6 months or so time (a la Robbie Rogers / Nunez -difficult to say which has looked the most lightweight in a Leeds shirt). Just a thought. Chapel A
