Heard from the Bradford fans in work Wells isn't going to sign a contract extension as he knows Leeds are interested, and their chairman is looking to cash in in January. That's the kind of backup to Ross I'd like to see.

I don't know a great deal about him but we already have a young inexperienced striker form League 1 who isn't the most prolific striker, why do we need another

wells would be worth the gamble but not 3 mil and I think becchio will be brought back for about 1 mil so no way we will spend more than that on wells.
send poleon out on loan for a full season . maybe do a loan swap poleon for wells see how things go .

What happens if we sign a league 1 player and then get promoted? Probably ain't premier league standard so we'd be needing better straight away. Would prefer us to sign someone like Guidetti on loan and maybe if we got up, signed him on a permanent. Manchester is only up the road and he's around about 8th choice at City.

I've been to B City 3 times this season taking my nephews to see a local game to them let me tell you that Wells is far from complete and who knows if he will he goes missing majority of the game his touch positioning & decisions are very questionable.
He doesn't work that hard Poleon is a better player than Wells if we was to pay even £1m for him we have well and truly had our pants pulled down.
He's simply speaking all hype from city fans who know no better they are used to dross lg2 journey men so he comes on the scene and they are all wow he's world class, quality and the rest don't believe the hype

BM has been told to make up a wish list so to speak of players he would be interested in if a takeover/investment goes through before the end of the january window. At the moment he is planning signings with the assumption that there will be no more money than is available now but the board want to be prepared and start scouting more expensive players now so they are not rushing round later if it goes through early.

Erm the only scouts we have is nigel gibbs and bmd himself so what you saying he not only to scout cheap option players but more expensive players just in case I doubt that bmd knows already who he needs and positions and will go for his number 1 choices if he don't he will go to number 2 choice never mind wish lists

A bit harsh. I'm pretty sure the manager has a fairly good idea of where we lack a bit of quality and who could provide it.
You don't get all-round quality on the cheap so you compromise in one or two areas (a little inconsistent, pace but lacking a little in composure etc. ) if they had it all they'd be playing in top domestic competitions and European football.
We can always hope we might pick up a player on his way to bigger and better things, wanting to make a name for himself. Makes a nice change from he never-beens that we've had forced on us the last few seasons.
Keep faith.
We're going to lose in the playoffs and go up in second place next season.

Talking to somebody who was in the pavilion last night and Peter Lorimar was there and he said takeover was imminent

I was at the Pavilion and can confirm that Peter Lomier said this, He was talking to the Rugby league player Carl Hutchingson and ex Leeds player Brendan Ormsby and mentioned that the deal just needs to be signed off by the football league.
