Leeds united are set to agree terms with Dominic Poleon on 2 year contract. Warnock sees him as future prospect due to his speed and power

Believable32 Unbelievable11

I am the original poster of this. I told you he was agreeing terms. Dominic was harder to convince than Monty and has eventually agreed a 1 year contract with a clause to extend the contract if the club so wish for a further 3 years. He will be a great addition

Inigo Calderon to sign within the week.

Believable12 Unbelievable13

Do you have a legitimate source to back this?

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant see it myself better full backs out there

Agree0 Disagree0

Won't be signing anyone until takeover/investment is done,so that won't be this week.trevo

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey pin, I think this is a believable rumour, I've heard this rumour from a reliable source

From merlinator

Agree0 Disagree0

SSN have an article on our interest and rumours just going round it will be done this week.

Pin

Agree0 Disagree0

No. Calderon has stated today in brighton's local paper (the argus) that he has had no contact with any clubs (he has only read about it in the papers!) and will not be going anywhere. He loves brighton.

Ive heard this as well pin think the deal will be completed soon

warnock i think you need to have a look at rudi skacel from hearts great striker has a lot of potential. let ross go if he ent going to sign new contract mot.

Believable29 Unbelievable16

If he's still only got potential when he's over thirty I think we can be safe to to this potential will be unrealised

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair a lot of strikers find it easy to score in scotland but fail in england

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that the same Rudi Skacel who was a flop at Southampton. JD

Agree0 Disagree0

Decent player at hearts but he is 32 not what we should be looking at Ian Black would be a better bet as a free transfer and hearts could do business for Andy Driver who is a decent prospect ex england u 21

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think Neil Warnock actually reads these "rumours".

I've been hearing some speculation that Derry from QPR is coming to Leeds. WE DONT WANT HIM!! Do u know what he did when he used to play for Leeds? He gave away the teams starting Lineup to his former club ( I think crystal palace) before a match. The manager found out and immediately banned him from playing at Leeds.( although not an official ban I don't think, the constant abuse from fans would surly make him think twice if he came to Leeds) We don't like players like that at Leeds. When u come to Leeds and pull on the mighty white shirt u play with Leeds at heart or u don't play for Leeds!! MOT!!!

Believable27 Unbelievable27

I'm pretty sure it was Neil Sullivan. Don't think he played a game after that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Never believed that story in the first place.

Agree0 Disagree0

It wasnt Derry who was the mole, wise used him as a scapegoat !!!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Derry was alleged to be The Mole at the time but it later transpired it WASNT him, so I think he'd be very welcome if he was re-signed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Shaun Derry on Goals On Sunday - interesting chat about his time
at Leeds.

said he'll always bear a grudge against
Wise for the mole story and said it
never happened and Dennis Wise made it all up.

loved his time with us and didn't want
to leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant see it being Derry. He was shafted by Wise and was more than good enough to be in the first team when he left. Im not 100% but seem to remember Wise left just before he did and he honoured the agreement he had made with Palace even though he wanted to stay. Not sure he still has the legs but nobody can ever question his desire to win. He was one of the bright points since we were relegated and Id welcome him back any day.

Gaz

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh derry was made the scapegoat i think it was gregan who was the mole

Agree0 Disagree0

Shaun Derry welcome back anytime! He loved it at Leeds and should never have been sold- could do a job next season too! Was shafted by Wise, end of story.

Agree0 Disagree0

Supposed white shirt fans need to get their facts right.derry is and always has been one of us and it is that little s--t wise who you need to be
aiming your poison at.let neil be the judge of that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Derry is exactly what we need wears his heart on his sleeve and would run his heart out for the shirt, not just turn up to take the money, had too many of those over the year's and i know for a fact Derry was shat on, come back Dezza n we can MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

To set the record straight, derry has got an lufc tattoo and it was a wind-up trick that wise fell for and derry took the fall

Agree0 Disagree0

Derry would be just what we need at elland road playing with his heart on his sleeve it was that little square headed cockney who had Derry pants down the Chelsea f##k

Agree0 Disagree0

Dennis Wise made it up and Derry even said it never happened. I'd have Derry back any day!

Agree0 Disagree0

I wrote this rumour thing and now I understand the truth. Much appreciated.MOT!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with posters 7 and 9. Derry would be fantastic in our midfield. By the way, a midfield which we haven't had since he left. JD

Agree0 Disagree0

There was NO Mole....its was all bull plop by the poison dwarf with the wobbly eyes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure Derry is what we need there is better out there on less wouldn't say no tho

Agree0 Disagree0

Derry, God, what are we assembling, some sort of retro tribute act to the good old days of, er...2005?! Derry even at his best couldn't get us promoted -so let go, for goodness sake! We need younger players, as NW says, with pace and power. Derry is the opposite of what we need.

Agree0 Disagree0

It wasn't Derry it was Kevin Nicholls. people thought it was Derry as he was ex Crystal Palace but it was later proved it wasn't.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dennis wise lost the dressing room after a spat with Derry, Wise wanted rid of Derry after that, Wise left to Newcastle because of it, Wise not welcome...Derry is

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - Ladies and Gents, please stop posting about a player who's name starts Toat El ........ and has been in an article saying that Leeds have beaten West Ham to the signing. It is a bad joke and if you look at the name it is as good as the article itself, total sh*te! The article comes from a West Ham blog that hates Leeds and whoever writes it spends more time causing trouble with Leeds rather than concentrate on their own club because they must be that boring. Please don't visit the site because you will bite and that is what they want. I am in the process of writing to Leeds to let them know of this constant abuse and forever attacking Neil Warnock. If you look back they did the same when he was manager of QPR. Thanks guys}

Believable23 Unbelievable6

I saw that myself and didnt think it was very funny until people started spreading the story.lmao

Agree0 Disagree0

West ham fans cant talk, they are up and down like a brides nightie, when were they last in champions league. And as for that pathetic childish song theyve got " im forever blowing bubbles" grow up, u will never win anything, unless of course u bunch ov numpties enter eurovision with ur song, its the only time they will ever need their passports
Hobnob10

Agree0 Disagree0

That kind of thing is a sign of someone with literally nothing else to do. It's sad really.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wish I had something to write about West Ham, but the truth is they're not even in the top 5 teams in their city.

Agree0 Disagree0

Reckon the saddo that writes that West Ham site must be on some kind of bet as to how many Leeds fans he can wind-up. The best thing is not to even bother visiting. I've been followed Leeds since 1970 and I can't really remember taking much notice of West Ham. They have a very different history from ours: No prolonged periods of domestic ascendancy; no Europe; no Leeds site utterly devoted to commenting on West Ham! PK

Shane Duffy is joining on loan for everton. I can guarantee this .

Believable12 Unbelievable29

When will you ppl ever take note, NW has stated time and time again he Will only loan players if he has no choice.!

Agree0 Disagree0

How much you want to bet he's has agreed to join on loan {Ed037's Note - I want to see evidence of this bet been carried through ;-)}

Agree0 Disagree0

Why bother posting that on here. I want to know whos coming to leeds. not whos joining other clubs.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jun 2012 11:45:20
Yep: coyne keen on loners, if that happens then looks 99% paddy is coming, really not sure about Kenny coming, not the youngest and would he really offer more than loners? Any thoughts? {Ed013's Note - I would keep Lonergan and I don't rate Kenny all that much. Its not a position that needs sorting. Its the outfield positions}

Believable22 Unbelievable13

I think Lonergans massively over rated and Kenny is far more solid. How many goals has AL let in during the last 2 seasons? He's weak on his right side and gets beaten too often from long range.
Kenny is a better organiser, will demand more and Warnock trusts him. Let Lonners go and put Cairns on the bench to learn from Kenny. {Ed013's Note - You cant blame the keeper for having 4 very average players in front of him and no midfield tracking back}

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with ed. Doesn't need fixing. What we need are full backs and centre mids.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd keep Lonergan, he was great upto breaking finger last season. Don't really rate Paddy that much, was a good keeper but is he still, in my opinion not better than Lonergan, not even as good.

Agree0 Disagree0

At last someone who agrees with me first post spot on is ed related to lonergan ? {Ed013's Note - No I am not, the keeper is the last position I would be concentrating on replacing. Lets try this before a keeper, LB, RB, CB, 2 X CM, LW and ST}

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally I agree that lonergan is over rated, the problem for me is that I don't think Kenny is a whole lot better either. For me Alex McCarthy would be the best option.

Scot MOT {Ed013's Note - I would take Alex all day long, you are all entitled to your opinion, I just think that is the last position we need to worry about}

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree ed back 4 not up to much best mids have been sold or left but keepers are the last line should have got mccarthy when we could

Agree0 Disagree0

Did anyone watch QPR last season and how many mistakes Kenny made? he made nearly 1 every game and I agree 100% with Ed that this is the last position we need to change now.

McCarthy is a good keeper and I would have him but I don't rate Kenny highly at all it wouldn't be a massive step up from Lonergan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Disagree totally, Lonegran cannot command his area or organise a defence, I think he was at fault for goals conseded on a regular basis - take the Forest game for example. We need a new keeper, not sure it should be Kenny but we do need one.

Agree0 Disagree0

I just dont know how you can FULLY assess a goalkeeper if he has a crap defence. AS a keeper, you would have to compromise the focus of your game to carry the faults of the people in front of you. I think that if he went to Bolton and played behind a great back 4, we would see how good he can be. Similarly, if we nail our back 4, i think he would look a different player.

Agree0 Disagree0

I never blame the keeper even if he makes a rick cos before the ball gets to him it has to go past 10 others and if they didnt stop it why should he be expected to. Agree with some of what is said but lets face it no keepers command the area anymore they are just shot stoppers. I remember the days when even small keepers like Burridge used to take the ball out of the air but those days are gone.

Gaz

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you say he was at fault against Forest he had no chance with 5 of there goals. Lonergan isn't the problem for Leeds it's the Midfield and Defence once we sort them out I'd be happy to see Lonergan in goal next season Paddy Kenny is no better IMO.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont rate either. I would break the bank for Alex McCarthy

Agree0 Disagree0

To be quite honest we should have kept schmeichel!! He was an excellent shot stopper!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I wonder sometimes in amazement at some of the comments on here... Lonners was at fault for 4 of the goals against florist (I was there as always btw) and it would most definately been a different game if we'd gone in 1-1 at half time and he hadn't put into his own net (Yes he did... it was going a mile over) purely due to being caught out of position (yet again). Anyway, good shot stopper at times. McCarthy all the way for me but unfortunately I am convinced it will be Kenny... {Ed013's Note - some of them goals were freak goals. Watch them back and you will see. Also ask yourself where were the defence and remember, no one is perfect, we all make mistakes}

Agree0 Disagree0

Preston managed to finish 4th on 80 points with Lonners in net, so he can't be that bad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Preston & Leeds in last 2 seasons conceded 147 goals. I know Lonners didnt play every game but he was first choice keeper and played most of the matches. Thats a lot let in over 92 games. Yes defences were poor but thats down to the keeper to organise and the coaches to work on. Something isnt right - he has to take his share of the blame. He's average - good at best but not good enough for a promotion hunting team. Highly over rated.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to agree with the last poster -Lonners is a decent guy, hardworking pro and solid-to-goodish at Champ level, but sadly just see him making too many mistakes over the course of a season for a promotion-

chasing side to feel he should be nailed-on Number One.

leeds are looking at bringing in kevin davies from bolton you heard here first dave the white van

Believable17 Unbelievable43

Kevin Davies signed a one-year contract extension with Bolton just after they were relegated, he has stated he will stay there. Can I ask that people do a little research before making up false rumours!

Agree0 Disagree0

Contracts mean nothing, bolton want lonergan who has 2 years remaining on contract, we can swap , plus cash for leeds of course

Agree0 Disagree0

Different scenarios here because Lonergan has not signed a new contract in recent weeks or stated he will stay, as I mentioned in my earlier post. Even if you overlook the contract situation, Warnock has said he listed Billy Paynter because he was too similar to Becchio and wanted some pace, Davies is again similar to Becchio and even slower

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, signing a new contract is a statement of intent that he will be staying at the club.

It says on Yorkshire evening post that warnock is interested in bring matthew kilgallon back to leeds!

Believable38 Unbelievable6

I would welcome killa back team him with pearce tom lees at right back just need a decent left back then back 4 sorted start on midfield

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with Kilgallen returning but definitely not with Lees playing right back- he is not nearly good enough in that position. Backing up pearce and Killa and learning his trade at the same time is the way forward. If not Kilgallen another good experienced cetre back would also do. Lees should only be back up next season. Probably will be a class act in the future.

El Hadj Diouf turned up at Ipswich's training ground, looks set to sign a deal according to my mate who works there.

Apparently reports in Newcastle are saying Danny Guthrie has nearly agreed a contract with a 'Yorkshire club'. We have been strongly linked to him so there is a possibility. Speaking of Newcastle, everyone put their rubbish away about Alan Smith, he is a average championship player. We need a promotion side, Enough said.

Also, in case anyone didn't know, the reason we couldn't put up the £400,000 for Joel Ward is because Ken Bates promised money to be available for Neil Warnock, but that money was expected to be gained from the sales of Clayton, Nunez, Paynter etc. Neil Warnock was thinking twice about his career at Leeds, all because Bates promised money he doesn't have!

Keep the faith Whites, one day! MOT

Believable13 Unbelievable34

Just hope the Diouf thing is right as it means he wont end up here. MOT
Gaz

Agree0 Disagree0

Yet more rubbish pal. You cannot just sell players soon as they are placed on the transfer list to raise funds, deals take ages to sort out. Ward wanted to stay down south. You know nothing more than anyone else who posts on here.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not convinced about the Ward comment. The rest sounds feasible.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't get carried away, looks like we lost Ward reasons yet unknown, maybe just cos the takeover stuff needs sorting first.
Diouf do really think NW wanted him, I don't think so.

Agree0 Disagree0

When warnock came during the season bates would have said there would b money available then (either takeover/investment or his own) at that point Clapton wasn't even listed! And as for Nunez and painter money, you wouldn't even b able to by a box of pegs with that money nevermind players! {Ed013's Note - Also if Neil was out of the loop then he would have come out and kicked off about losing Ward etc}

Agree0 Disagree0

Clapton, is that eric ,and painter, at least get players names right

Agree0 Disagree0

And whos bothered about ward, who knew anything about him before we got mentioned trying to buy him ,move on

Agree0 Disagree0

Guthrie will sign for Southampton , nice dream though

WARnock's Whites

Believable35 Unbelievable9

He's also said he's received no offers as of yet, we need to hurry up if that is the case! He'd be realistic signing. {Ed013's Note - I would have him every day of the week. I will drive down myself and pick him up to sign his contract!}

Agree0 Disagree0

I haven't really seen much of him. I know he's got a monster throw. Any other qualities?

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm with Ed on this one -will happily share petrol with you! Would be the perfect defensive signing -has height, versatility, pedigree, experience, is a good athlete and calm under pressure -as well as the mega throw. Impressed at Elland Rd on both occasions in last 2 years - a good sign that would not be phased by the pressure.
