Leeds united are set to agree terms with Dominic Poleon on 2 year contract. Warnock sees him as future prospect due to his speed and power

I am the original poster of this. I told you he was agreeing terms. Dominic was harder to convince than Monty and has eventually agreed a 1 year contract with a clause to extend the contract if the club so wish for a further 3 years. He will be a great addition

Our family friend is a long time leeds fan like us but has a very well paid job in the sports media in london, he has told me that bates will be bought out by an american franchise,ive told him if hes wrong not to come to leeds to visit.

warnock i think you need to have a look at rudi skacel from hearts great striker has a lot of potential. let ross go if he ent going to sign new contract mot.

If he's still only got potential when he's over thirty I think we can be safe to to this potential will be unrealised

To be fair a lot of strikers find it easy to score in scotland but fail in england

Decent player at hearts but he is 32 not what we should be looking at Ian Black would be a better bet as a free transfer and hearts could do business for Andy Driver who is a decent prospect ex england u 21

I don't think Neil Warnock actually reads these "rumours".

It is a bad joke and if you look at the name it is as good as the article itself, total sh*te! The article comes from a West Ham blog that hates Leeds and whoever writes it spends more time causing trouble with Leeds rather than concentrate on their own club because they must be that boring. Please don't visit the site because you will bite and that is what they want. I am in the process of writing to Leeds to let them know of this constant abuse and forever attacking Neil Warnock. That kind of thing is a sign of someone with literally nothing else to do. It's sad really.

Wish I had something to write about West Ham, but the truth is they're not even in the top 5 teams in their city.

Reckon the saddo that writes that West Ham site must be on some kind of bet as to how many Leeds fans he can wind-up. The best thing is not to even bother visiting. I've been followed Leeds since 1970 and I can't really remember taking much notice of West Ham. They have a very different history from ours: No prolonged periods of domestic ascendancy; no Europe; no Leeds site utterly devoted to commenting on West Ham! PK

Yep: coyne keen on loners, if that happens then looks 99% paddy is coming, really not sure about Kenny coming, not the youngest and would he really offer more than loners? Any thoughts? {Ed013's Note - I would keep Lonergan and I don't rate Kenny all that much. Its not a position that needs sorting. Its the outfield positions}

I think Lonergans massively over rated and Kenny is far more solid. How many goals has AL let in during the last 2 seasons? He's weak on his right side and gets beaten too often from long range.
Kenny is a better organiser, will demand more and Warnock trusts him. Let Lonners go and put Cairns on the bench to learn from Kenny. {Ed013's Note - You cant blame the keeper for having 4 very average players in front of him and no midfield tracking back}

I agree with ed. Doesn't need fixing. What we need are full backs and centre mids.

I'd keep Lonergan, he was great upto breaking finger last season. Don't really rate Paddy that much, was a good keeper but is he still, in my opinion not better than Lonergan, not even as good.

At last someone who agrees with me first post spot on is ed related to lonergan ? {Ed013's Note - No I am not, the keeper is the last position I would be concentrating on replacing. Lets try this before a keeper, LB, RB, CB, 2 X CM, LW and ST}

Personally I agree that lonergan is over rated, the problem for me is that I don't think Kenny is a whole lot better either. For me Alex McCarthy would be the best option.

I agree ed back 4 not up to much best mids have been sold or left but keepers are the last line should have got mccarthy when we could

Did anyone watch QPR last season and how many mistakes Kenny made? he made nearly 1 every game and I agree 100% with Ed that this is the last position we need to change now.

McCarthy is a good keeper and I would have him but I don't rate Kenny highly at all it wouldn't be a massive step up from Lonergan.

Disagree totally, Lonegran cannot command his area or organise a defence, I think he was at fault for goals conseded on a regular basis - take the Forest game for example. We need a new keeper, not sure it should be Kenny but we do need one.

I just dont know how you can FULLY assess a goalkeeper if he has a crap defence. AS a keeper, you would have to compromise the focus of your game to carry the faults of the people in front of you. I think that if he went to Bolton and played behind a great back 4, we would see how good he can be. Similarly, if we nail our back 4, i think he would look a different player.

I never blame the keeper even if he makes a rick cos before the ball gets to him it has to go past 10 others and if they didnt stop it why should he be expected to. Agree with some of what is said but lets face it no keepers command the area anymore they are just shot stoppers. I remember the days when even small keepers like Burridge used to take the ball out of the air but those days are gone.

How can you say he was at fault against Forest he had no chance with 5 of there goals. Lonergan isn't the problem for Leeds it's the Midfield and Defence once we sort them out I'd be happy to see Lonergan in goal next season Paddy Kenny is no better IMO.

To be quite honest we should have kept schmeichel!! He was an excellent shot stopper!!

I wonder sometimes in amazement at some of the comments on here... Lonners was at fault for 4 of the goals against florist (I was there as always btw) and it would most definately been a different game if we'd gone in 1-1 at half time and he hadn't put into his own net (Yes he did... it was going a mile over) purely due to being caught out of position (yet again). Anyway, good shot stopper at times. McCarthy all the way for me but unfortunately I am convinced it will be Kenny... {Ed013's Note - some of them goals were freak goals. Watch them back and you will see. Also ask yourself where were the defence and remember, no one is perfect, we all make mistakes}

Preston managed to finish 4th on 80 points with Lonners in net, so he can't be that bad.

Preston & Leeds in last 2 seasons conceded 147 goals. I know Lonners didnt play every game but he was first choice keeper and played most of the matches. Thats a lot let in over 92 games. Yes defences were poor but thats down to the keeper to organise and the coaches to work on. Something isnt right - he has to take his share of the blame. He's average - good at best but not good enough for a promotion hunting team. Highly over rated.

Have to agree with the last poster -Lonners is a decent guy, hardworking pro and solid-to-goodish at Champ level, but sadly just see him making too many mistakes over the course of a season for a promotion-

chasing side to feel he should be nailed-on Number One.

It says on Yorkshire evening post that warnock is interested in bring matthew kilgallon back to leeds!

I would welcome killa back team him with pearce tom lees at right back just need a decent left back then back 4 sorted start on midfield

I agree with Kilgallen returning but definitely not with Lees playing right back- he is not nearly good enough in that position. Backing up pearce and Killa and learning his trade at the same time is the way forward. If not Kilgallen another good experienced cetre back would also do. Lees should only be back up next season. Probably will be a class act in the future.

I'm with Ed on this one -will happily share petrol with you! Would be the perfect defensive signing -has height, versatility, pedigree, experience, is a good athlete and calm under pressure -as well as the mega throw. Impressed at Elland Rd on both occasions in last 2 years - a good sign that would not be phased by the pressure.
