Oh please be wrong but all money today has gone on Billy Davies. He is actually odds on with some bookmakers {Ed020's Note - out of all teh available managers, i don't think he'd be one that we'd employ!!}

Believable14 Unbelievable11

I totally agree ed, but for the odds to shorten dramatically with all bookies and every other candidate odds to grow, this could be worrying time, please pappardelle smurf not billy Davies pleeeeeeeease no

Agree0 Disagree0

Jesus if we employ him we could end up in the relegation zone never mind playoff spots. Useless tosser.

Agree0 Disagree0

He hates leeds more than warnock, remember fallout with grayson ?

Agree0 Disagree0

This guy is the right man for Leeds at this moment in time. He has a trcak record in getting the best out of his players. Its made for him and I hope he gets the job. Please explain why he should not get the job

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldnt read too much into it yet. The odds and favourites are changing by the hour

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont like him but he has a passion for his teams- Billy "job done" Davies might not be the worst! I would take him well above Dave Jones.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am experienced in compiling odds for bookmakers and can assure in such a small market, with very little cash wagered and bookies with small liabilities, that all it takes is £50 on a candidate for them to shorten dramatically. The layers are as much in the dark as we are and subsequently panic by repricing any odds to an unattractive level to ensure small payouts. Bookies are like insurers, solicitors and estate agents - they never lose in the long run.

Now get on Redfearn as I suggested last Wednesday, when I backed him at 20/1. No brainer for Bates until the end of the season at least!

Agree0 Disagree0

If the bookies think there is no imminent decision they will then make some no hopers into temporary favourites in order to take your money while they have a window to do so.so dont go by the odds unyil a decision is closer.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think billy Davies is the right man for the job and who ever said hes useless please explain yourself ,look at forest now hes left they was in play-offs each season until he left

Agree0 Disagree0

We could do a lot worse !

But like the posts above, the odds are changing all the time .. Warnock was 8/13 at one time ... Not now

Agree0 Disagree0

We once had a Scottish billy at the club, if only this one could be a tenth as good I would welcome him with open arms

Agree0 Disagree0

Bookies not often wrong anybody
ever seen a poor one like top players
big houses big cars and even bigger
bank accounts and where the ones that make it possible

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe the bookies are slashing the odds to get more people to bet on it, so they make more money?

Chances are the bookies don't have a clue whos going to be manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

Please no. Forget his skills as a manager, I find him irritating as a person. I will not support Leeds United as much if he is appointed manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

If Uncle Ken gives davies the job i'd be stunned, emplying a manager with a backbone !! BRAVE

Agree0 Disagree0

I know it wasn't Bates' reign, but we employed El Tel - anything is possible!!

aftre reading todays Yorkshire Post it looks very like its Redders in line til end of season if results are good = CONFIDENCE is high again with Redders and team given OWNERSHIP and not trrated like teenagers .... O brien is coaching from dug out also - A big change - Larry had obviously lost the players ! Warnock in legal talks with QPR so Ken waiting on these legal meetings - Lets suggest Warnock when free and Redders partnership - MOT {Ed020's Note - i agree,if the last match was anything to go by, redders will do well inside of our club!!!}

Believable26 Unbelievable8

I think that redders has the confidence of the team i remember the george graham days he started at the back with the defence then everything else gets sorted if your not conceding then you are either winning games or drawing them then david oleary took over and look where we went the young lads coming through know what redders wants and i think that getting someone like warnock or strachan in with him as assistant would really work but we dont want to rush things if we have to wait till the end of the season so be it let redders have a crack till then and then lets get who we want and give them the funds to mount a chellenge next season

Agree0 Disagree0

Hate to put a downer on it, but i'd be concerned if any 11 man championship team couldnt beat a 9 man championship team. Until we start getting results like that with full squads again, i wont be convinced.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aren't you conveniently forgetting we were 1-0 up before the first sending off and with them for some reason pulling their only good player (Kilkenny)at half time, we were in with a good shout of winning anyway. Hardly NR's fault they got sent off is it? Play what is in front of you is obvious innit?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do so called Leeds fans have to mention that Bristol were down to 9 men all the time? If teams can't discipline and make sure their players can't stay on the pitch it's not Leeds fault, we went and we conquered! Redders has the guys on the up and I hope does well! Mot!!

Agree0 Disagree0

We were battered until we scored the first goal, then they had a player sent off so I'll reserve judgement. I still wish grayson was in charge after all the rubbish we've been linked with, and there is no evidence to say he'd 'lost the players'. Bates would have brought it up when he was sacked, he came up with lots of other poor reasons. We all slated o'brien when he refused to play, it's easy to be wise after th event..even for you!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but I think grayson handled the obrien situation horrendously! If he had depression, then as his manager he should of dealt with it privately.. Poor man management! so he prob did lose the dressing room, if thats how he treats his players..

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm more than sure Grayson had lost a large part off the squad, constant changing off the team ,every other week some player would never play for Leeds again,On more than one accession mcormak ran in front off Grayson after scoring pointing at his shirt name obviously having a go for dropping him ,our leading goal scorer. Can't see any other team dropping say sharpe lambert can you?.Have you heard one player say it was the wrong decision ? Ihave not

Agree0 Disagree0

No proof that Grayson lost the dressing room? Ross blanked him and walked straight down the tunnel after scoring the winner against Burnley!

i heard from my cousin today who lives in leeds that the big rumour going round beeston is leeds will give redfern the rest of the season as caretaker manager to see what kind of job he does, reason being bates cant loose, he gets a rooky on low wages, someone who knows the players well at all levels of the football club and has the chance to gel some of the younger lads in, also with the rumour about bates cant afford promotion this season due to a large payment needing paying back on leeds getting promoted to the premier league befor 2012... bates seems to have all the cards, so if/when we dont get promotion this season bates will go for an experienced manager, loosen the puse strings and push for promotion befor selling the club on at a healthy profit.... any thoughts??

Believable40 Unbelievable7

Lets kill the rumour again about a big payment IF we get promoted. The figure is £5m if we are promoted by 2017. Thats a small number in the context of the Premiership money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ken and Redders knows we CAN go up this year - no need to wait ....only thing holding us back has been CONFIDENCE and Larry ...this is rapidly changing ....look at the table look at the games ahead - dont be surprised if we are joint third or three points of AUTO prom by March ! {Ed020's Note - fingers crossed your right}

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the note above. The figure is about £5m. Somebody teased it out of the latest accounts and posted on the old BBC forum

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow big rumour. I stated all of this last Wednesday and have seen no reason to alter my viewpoint. KB gets what KB wants at present, except an experienced manager who will agree with him and happily have no money to spend, and any chance of decent investment until after he pops his clogs!

Agree0 Disagree0

The actual figure is more around 20 million from looking at the company voluntary arrangement, plus it means Leeds united can effectively borrow again as these CVAmuch like IVA drop off after six years. We are now debt free operating on a profit and the only club in the country that can say that. Add to that third biggest city and one city club. Mot. If we can win the next five games who knows

Agree0 Disagree0

This is what I want. Redfearn til the end of season. We might just go on a long unbeaten run. We tend to play better when chips are down. Wounded soldier syndrome.

Agree0 Disagree0

I disagree with the 20m figure and the 2012 date. Pretty sure the Inland Revenue insisted on a 2017 date and the figure to be divvied up was around the 5m mark.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's around 25% of any monies reduced by going into an CVA. Creditors voted to accept 22 pence in the pound on every penny owed. That in theory means if we get promoted within six years of a CVA being taken out we might have pay back what would be left. This is government law I work in insolvency.

Agree0 Disagree0

And we all know how f@cking well the government manage money. We owe, per the published accounts six and a half million which is valid up to and including the 2017/2018 season. That is the clubs only liability. You my friend are a liability with your facts.

delighted to hear o brien was in dugout with redfearn on sat, welcome back andy.hope it works out for you..

Believable28 Unbelievable7

Good to hear he is on his way back, just dont agree he should be there in the dug out. Making decissions.... he is a player not a coach.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't care if Ken Bates wife sits in the dug out as long as we get 3 points.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we play against 9 men I think she will do.....
