Would be a huge signing if so. He cut us apart more than once while at Brighton. got to feel Sunderland would want at least the £2.5m they spent for him but well worth it if we have that money to splash out still.

Don't see him being a number 1, but good backup. I still find it a hard pill to swallow with Silvestri and his strike antics.

Silvestri's dad said his injury was legit as was Antenucci but the rest we're playing at it. Obviously father will stick up for the son but I honestly don't think Silvestri seems like that sort of character. Bellusci maybe but not Silvestri. Plus he was a good number 1 last season so I hope we keep him.

He posted a picture of himself with a big scratch or bruise down his back from a collision (with Jerome I think) from the match before. He could maybe have still played but it would probably have restricted his movement a little especially if it had any swelling (hard to tell in the picture), not something you really want when your a reaction rather than commanding keeper, so i'm happy to take that as a legit excuse.

I think we scared them off the Byram deal which forced them into the 2m Adam Matthews deal with Celtic. I assumed any Buckley deal will be to generate cash for other signings and not as part of a Byram exchange.
