Phillips saying TC told him to get forward more, play with freedom and score more goals. Just shows what happens when we don't have a negative manager holding players back.

Dont get excited too soon SG, Philips has put together a run of good games before, then he drops off badly (much like Mowatt before him) , hoping TC has truly given him a second lease on life but i'm giving it a few games first.

Kal has always been an attack minded player, scoring goals at will for years through the juniors. With the right coach, and correct tactics, he's 10 to 15 a season. The boy has a right shoe on him.

SG, think your bang on the money, even are defence passed the ball back when needed but didn't spend five minutes doing so and then play themselves into trouble . In Philips think he needs managing time wise but I thought that's why we brought a number of attacking m/f.

I also noticed how the gk kept coming forward a bit like man city, however he needs to watch that someone don't chip in a goal . Would like to have seen a couple more of the new players on Sunday but with the injuries it wasn't to be .

Phillips is a lot better than Mowatt in both talent and attitude. Loves to get around box and a good strike on him. He is a confidence player and will only get better. Monk held him back last season and he took a lot of flak for it, will have learnt from that.

Think his honest valuation would be £5-7mil as that's what we wanted for Charlie Taylor. However think they would only sell for £15m as they allegedly want £10m for flint (a £2-3m championship player)
