GFH do have money to spend! They did not give Warnock the money in January due to him leaving the club in the near future.
They are selling shares in the club to raise money for a big marquee signing! (Remember this does not have to be a big transfer fee as we are interested in Premier league players on wages around 20k a week)

Matt Mills and Noel Hunt will be our first signings (Reece Wabarba has also been talked about a lot on twitter) but after that we will sign a top quality central midfielder, winger and striker. Watch this space!

Believable29 Unbelievable50

If you look at GFH website it says season tickets sales are down and that much of the money from the sales will go to pay off the debt for the stand. So where is the money coming from for the transfers. Dream on!. The only way there will be transfer funds is if we sell our best players, just as we sold Becchio in January. I fear Byram or Lees could be next

Agree1 Disagree0

GFH is selling shares in the club to spread the risk on its investment, first and foremost.
Investment in the playing squad is a secondary consideration but the cost-base will not be increased disproportionately, meaning; if we aren't getting rid of players, we certainly won't be signing very many and really won't be splashing huge amounts of cash.
Outside investement can help a little with this but, the real force for changing this football club would be a decent increase in revene.
So, we're in a chicken-and-egg situation:
An increase in average attendance by 10k people would provide the operating capital to fund better players who have higher wage expectations.
But, unless performances on the pitch improve - and soon - fans will stay away, in which case, the cost-base will have to shrink or we'll have to keep finding outside investment just to keep the club solvent.
Nobody outside the club knows just how much we'll have available to spend, least of all the original poster, who seems to think that adding an exclamation mark to a guess makes it worth publishing but, I can guarantee that GFH will not be gambling big on marquee signings and we'll continue to live within our means.
More fans at Elland Road would be far greater help than an injection of cash from GFH et all.

Agree2 Disagree0

Id prefer byram to leave more than lees

Agree0 Disagree2

Don't really know what to believe now but hope its true.

Agree0 Disagree0

As ghfc lied to leeds saying it was a cash buy with no loans they actually used 7 investers money meaning its still a loan selling 10% of club foir just under 3 million and another 3% for just under 900k means they are spreading the tisk while also fetching money in to keep the investers happy getting a return for there cash if we sell byram its a fact the the invester will want there cut so bm will not get all the money to spend and the 20k wages for prem players mean we will be getting the dregg players

Agree0 Disagree0

To the 'GFH lied' poster:
Actually, 7 investors is not a loan, it's a consortium. GFH didn't lie.
What they did was the same as any fund management company; they go out and find people with money to invest, they pitch them possible investments and the potential returns that they could see on those investments and a possible timeframe with which they could see some returns.
No investor in a football club will expect a return so quickly and shareholders can't just 'dip in' when they feel like.
If we sell Byram, the shareholders will be highly unlikely to expect a percentage of the deal as this would actually devalue their investment and the chances of greater returns further down the line.
I'm going to have to start signing with something so I'll call myself CityWhite

Leeds are interested in Readings Alex Pearce who is out of contract on July 1st but seems unlikely he will join Leeds because Newcastle and Liverpool are also intrested

Believable17 Unbelievable38

This would be a great signing

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a chance we will sign him. A Premier lge club will

Noel hunt turns down leeds to sign for Steve Bruce at hull city

Believable17 Unbelievable66

Thanks bruce for letting us know! lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets hope so.

Agree0 Disagree0

Please let be true. We don't want a 30 year old donkey we already have Morison!

Agree1 Disagree0

Well let's all hope this is true! I think they'd be doing us all a favour. Only good in the air as he can jump like a chinese man. good for set pieces and long ball tactics.

Agree0 Disagree0

LOad of Bull mate, Bruce interested in Ince

leeds united to sign liam trotter with luke varney going the other way

Believable23 Unbelievable32

Believable until you said they would want Varney

Agree0 Disagree0

Its millwall why wouldn't they want varney? he scores goals which they dnt do often

Agree0 Disagree0

Cause Varney would add to their list of strikers who can't score like Keogh! Trotter is a great player!

Leeds are interested in signing David stockdale from Fulham after Fulham have just signed Martin Steklenberg

Believable26 Unbelievable22

They have also lost mark swarchzer or however its spelt so i'm sure stocko will be needed

Agree0 Disagree0

We could not afford his transfer fee

Agree0 Disagree0

If Fulham let him reckon hull would be first choice

Agree0 Disagree0

Would Hull really be any players first choice!

Agree0 Disagree0

Premiership football at hull we're he was on loan last season or championship football think about

Craig Eastmond- Arsenal
Eric Lichaj- Villa
Danny Simpson- Newcastle
Simeon Jackson- Norwich
Lee Camp- Norwich
Dean Whitehead- Stoke
John Bostock- Spurs
Jerome Thomas- WBA
Gary O'Neil- West Ham

all free to speak to clubs. I'd take this lot.

Believable20 Unbelievable25

Craig eastmond, already signed a two year deal with Colchester.
neil.

Agree0 Disagree0

Eastmond already at Colchester, and I wouldn't take Bostock either, he's got a pretty bad attitude generally. Zoltan Gera from WBA is also gone, could be a good shout.

Agree0 Disagree0

OP. Bostock fits the age range and talent McD is looking for, give the boy a chance. Diouf is/was no saint.

Agree0 Disagree0

Id like to see Bostock come.
Plus one of the keepers released by the premiership clubs (Turnbull, Camp)

Pearce and Mills i'd love to see!

Agree0 Disagree0

Bostock would be a great signing. Simeon would score goals in the Championship too

Agree0 Disagree0

Wages for most too high

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't want Whitehead, living in the potteries as I do, haven't heard a good word about him from any Stoke fan.

Leeds have had a £300,000 bid for scannell turned down, Huddersfield want to re-coup their outlay on the player

Believable4 Unbelievable35

No way will scannel leave town, he will be one of our main players next year

Agree0 Disagree2

If this is the sort of money we are offering for players like Scannell, we have no chance of signing anybody decent

Agree0 Disagree0

He's not worth 300k and certainly falls short of being a Leeds player

Whilst Carrying out maintenance work at Thorp Arch I saw Will Hughes of Derby County get out of a Jaguar with a male i'm presuming was his agent. They went in to the main office complex, and left 2 hours later.

Believable10 Unbelievable68

And while I was doing the plumbing at Thorpe Arch I saw ANDY HUGHES!

Agree1 Disagree0

Well you did well mate, I wouldn't have even had a clue what Will Hughes looked like!

Agree0 Disagree0

Amazing how these no-profile footballers always get recognised by casual tradesmen at training grounds or on holiday.
I'd probably recognise about two Derby players in the street and even then I'd spend some time pointing and repeating the phrase 'is that. um. ?'
Maybe plumbers have extensive Panini sticker albums.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cracking young player. I think Derby would need an offer they couldn't refuse to let him go and I'd be surprised if we were the club to make it.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you read the OS will hughes is exactly what BM is looking for; an under 24 year old player where compensation will be due. I watched him destroy Leeds as pride park this season and he's a real talent and at the time he was 17, plus you can't miss the guy I think he's an Albino lol. That said compo is likely to be at least a few million as he's highly rated!

Agree1 Disagree0

I am a LU supporter living in Derby, the club are saying Hughes is not for sale (same line as LU on Byram) however if the price was right they would probably sell him to prem club but with a season long loan back.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think anyone can forget what this guy looks like after he terrorised us at pride park but I also saw on sly sports news newcastle were after this guy and the price mentioned was 6 million. Brayzerwhite

Agree1 Disagree0

I saw messi getting out ford ka with bloke at thorp while cleaning windows hope he signs soon

Agree0 Disagree0

That would be amazing if true -but sadly I suspect that we'll need to be in the Prem before we can sign players of that class. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

If Derby let Hughes go it will be for big money to a Premier League team the boy's a huge talent

Agree0 Disagree0

Will Hughes is a top player for the future. He would command a huge transfer fee and therefore we would not be signing him

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny thing is your timing, did you clock him and out, was he looking red? ( after his medical and run?)

Typical medical takes 3-4 hours, extensive heart monitoring is now compulsory for any football deal.

Must be coming back for that then, what maintenance work was you doing, mending the front door or clocking in machine?

Agree0 Disagree0

Will hughes will b worth just as much as byram if not more so we have no chance and I live in derby and have seen him play a lot and he's far 2 good for this leeds team, for me he's better of at derby and then maybe next year in the prem

Leeds have rumoured to have agreed a fee with Bolton for Matt Mills. The price is believed to be £750,000 and Mills is very keen on the move.

Believable29 Unbelievable13

Possibly but not at 750k, we wanted it lowering

Agree1 Disagree0

£750k would cover our entire outlay, ain't going to happen. And if his wages are over £20k per week you can forget it.

Agree0 Disagree0

What I have been told is that a bid of £500k has been lodged, with a further £500K paid on promotion to the prem league

Mills has been offered £15k per week plus the captains armband, which he has accepted.

Leeds to sign David Stockdale from Fulham after they have just completed the signing of Maarten Stekelenburg from Roma.

Believable14 Unbelievable27

Would be a great signing if this is true

Agree0 Disagree0

Stekelenberg was to replace schwartzer as he's retiring/ been released

Agree0 Disagree0

Rubbish as they turned down 4M from Hull

Agree1 Disagree0

I went to school with sticky he ain't leaving fulham

Leeds to confirm the free transfer of Noel Hunt today who will officially join on July 1st, also Matt Mills fee has been agreed and he is entering personal terms with Leeds, no offers have been received for players going out of Leeds

Believable49 Unbelievable19

It's now the 8th of June and your so called rumour is WRONG. He MAY well sign in the future but at the moment it just looks like you are trying to pretend that you have inside information, when in fact you DON'T.

Leeds to to make a 900k bid for millwall man Liam trotter.

Believable12 Unbelievable49

This rumour I really like but i'd b surprised if he came to leeds when plenty of others will want him and probs offer more money but he is what we need and then maybe we can get austin out

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds are more likely to sign Rodney Trotter Haha

Agree0 Disagree0

Another Trotter! How about we sign someone who can actually run!

Agree0 Disagree0

Liam trotter is very fast. u obviously ain't seen him play. if we could get him then I and many others would b very happy but I just cnt see why he would join us with the mess we are in {Ed013's Note - I think the previous poster is having banter with the name Trotter!}

Agree0 Disagree0

He'd be really good

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed you are right, it was a joke! We seriously lacked pace last year

Agree0 Disagree0

Yh I know he was joking bout that but wernt joking about trotter running
