As frustrating as it is to watch, read and listen to some of these so called pundits it would appear that nobody is buying anybody from the top two English Leeds. We’re back to preseason training on Wednesday and as it stands contractually we don’t even have a Manager.
More puzzled than panicked though.

Not worth any more than that, might be great at championship level good chance he might be bang average at premier league level. It’s a lot of money to take a gamble with.

Same gamble as we took before he'd played a championship game.
Could easily say there's a good chance he'll be brilliant. Only time will tell.

Well. let me put it this way. He can play with the ball at his feet. Which is more than most central defenders can do. He can pass, he can read the game. He also loves being at Leeds, and clicks with the team. He’s class. 28mill plus’s the add ons when he skippers England. The boy is young and wow! Quality!

Nobody knows the transfer budget and If Rad wants to buy Ben White for 50 mill that’s his prerogative although I believe he will sign on Wednesday for 28 million!
Lot of money yes but imo better than taking a risk on a foreign player or the Spurs CB who have hardly played in 2 years. The lad knows the club and I’m sure has an affinity with Leeds as well. No brainer.

Don’t think it will happen Cork, If he goes I think he will go for more than 28 million. Being realistic if Liverpool and Chelsea really are going for him, at this stage of our premiership recovery we can’t compete.
The skill is finding the Whites before they reach the loanable out stage and our lack of Ben whites from our own recent batch of CBS, including, O’Connor, Diaz, Aappo, Shaunessy etc, shows how hard it is. Possibly Pascal remains the hope.

Summary from latest Phil Hay Q&A :
MB will sign his contract early next week .
We are targeting the following : one centre back only ( BW first choice but Brighton playing hard ball, I imagine Struijk will cover Berra ) , Benrahma ( but lots of competition ) , a striker to compete with Bam, a left back and a goalie if Kiko leaves . Plus various under 23's like Gelhardt who should sign Monday .
Diego Flores probably replaces Carlos Corberan .
There's going to be another Amazon doc covering the run in . A two parter .

What I liked about Carlos with the under 23s and then with his link to the first team and involvement there, was that he was an LUFC employee direct not part of Bielsa’s team like Flores. Bielsa’s team invariably go with him, so having someone who doesn’t involved in the two key streams can leave some continuity.

Personally think Shackleton is one of the under 23s who could play a part in a premiership season. Not sure he has done much wrong when he has been given opportunities. I’d like to see who else we get in before sending him out for the year.

The Lad needs To get a full season of football under his belt, and the way that Barnsley now play under their gaffer, will be ideal for him. He would only get subs appearances, which isn’t enough for him to develop fully, in my own opinion.

Not sure Bright. If you look at Bielsas record with the kids he seems to keep those he likes and wants to develop close. Those that go out on loan tend not to come back, Ryan might be an exception, Bielsa likes him but clearly wasn’t involved in squads last year and so definitely not this year. I think Shacks is different, closer to the first team and if I was one of the young kids I’d like to be around the first team players and bielsas coaching team.

Eeeeh. For once I disagree Spaniard! I really thin Bielsa respects the guy at Barnsley and also think that a full season of plyingweek in, week out, will take Shackleton to another level. But, hey, we’ll see.
