Cesar to join from QPR in the summer. Cellino wanted him at Cagliari but he would suit Leeds better to help us get back were we belong. MOT!

Believable8 Unbelievable34

Not when we win the play offs he isn't. We'll buy far better players to keep us in the prem.

Agree1 Disagree1

Far better players than the Brazilian number one!!

Agree3 Disagree1

Brazilian number one who can't get in the QPR side because of Rob 'the bet' Green!

Rumour has it that cellino is very close to the man city owner & family

Believable18 Unbelievable48

I don't think you have gotten used to the Italian accent yet, Cellino is very close to the Milan City owner and family not the Man City owner and family.

Agree1 Disagree0

Oh great! Does that mean we get aguero and toure on loan?

Apparently he knows the Beckhams - does that mean we'll be getting Victoria too?

Agree2 Disagree0

And Bill Gates and I are big mates .

1st time poster here please check out our first new signing under don Cellini his name is victor ibarbo prem here we come

Believable12 Unbelievable38

Would be beast!

Agree2 Disagree0

I don't think so

Agree2 Disagree0

If he comes ill eat my own pants. i'd love it to be true though he looks amazing.

Agree2 Disagree0

15 million to Cagliari then as that's how much Cellino demanded from Barcelona last year.

He aims and he shoots .

Agree2 Disagree1

If he signs for Leeds I will bare my backside in the club shop for 20 minutes on match day

Agree4 Disagree0

It's a lovely thought but I can't see it myself

Agree3 Disagree0

Not bad, if it's true; 70 goals in 90 matches since 2011 for Cagliari

Agree2 Disagree1

Does the post about the fella showing his backside followed by the next post make anyone else chuckle?

Agree14 Disagree0

Club shop going to be packed.

Wanted by Barca. renowned in Serie A. ain't happening.

Agree2 Disagree0

This guy is the next superstar in the same bracket as Messi, Ronaldo, Bale so unfortunately won't be coming to us. oh how I wish.

Agree1 Disagree1

Wouldn't say he s Ronaldo/ Messi calibre. He's valued at 6 mil and plays for Cagliari at 24. He looks good but not the 3rd best player on the planet

Agree1 Disagree1

1st signing? So in the summer? As we can't loan anyone outside English leagues in this Window.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we need a player in on loan. Breath of fresh air. Spurs have quite a few numbers in midfield areas. Is Sigurdsson still their? McDermott managed him if I think.

Agree0 Disagree0

Varney has signed for Blackburn.

Andrew Haigh reports

Believable58 Unbelievable6

On the official site along with Green to Ipswich.

Agree3 Disagree0

Good news then, I like them, and their effort was never in doubt, but they weren't first team names, and couldn't see them getting back, so they were just a drain on the wage bill.

Agree1 Disagree0

Only on loan before we get excited

Agree1 Disagree0

Varney at least is a loan with view to permanent - don't know about Green.
PeteMOT

Agree2 Disagree1

View to permanant is irrelevant as they are both out of contract in the summer
Their contracts won't be renewed and they are as good as gone
Good luck to both of them

Agree1 Disagree0

I would have drove them both there and payed for the diesel. That miss of Varneys v Southampton was legendary I'll remember him for that.

Agree0 Disagree1

Anyone else think we shouldn't be loaning players to play-off rivals? I know this season promotion is unlikely but just a thought.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with the last poster. Chapel A

Paul Green joined Ipswich on 93 day loan - expect Varney to go out in similar deal next week (Blackburn?). Should free up some spaces for incoming loanees.

Believable42 Unbelievable2

Varney has gone to Blackburn it is on the official site!

Op here - This was posted before the moves were completed if you look at the time. they had to complete by noon to be involved today and both did.

Agree2 Disagree0

No loss, IMO, I posted after the Derby farce. That he the should never put a Leeds shirt on again. Thankfully he never did.

Agree0 Disagree1

Ipswich were 2-0 down when he came on and ended up drawing 2-2! I just hope he wasn't involved in any of the goals, I worry about us helping our rivals.

Green out, hopefully Norris, Varney and Diouf next.

On the Varney situation, if he refused to play so he wouldn't get injured (in the hope that he may move) isn't he in breach of contract. There for we can just sack him, or isn't it that simple.

Believable25 Unbelievable10

And Tonge, Pugh, Drury and Hunt

Agree1 Disagree0

Good news, even if we are helping two of our play off rivals. Need to ship a few more out - Diouf, Norris, Drury and White imo, to clear some more wage bill.

I'd like to see Dawson go out on loan, as he isn't getting a chance. Walters too. I think Thompson might go out on loan again as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we sack him then we'll lose out on any transfer fee

Agree1 Disagree0

He didn't refuse apparently he requested not to play therefore the final decision to accept that request and not play him was BMD ' mate.

Scot
MOT!

Agree0 Disagree1

I must be the only one who agrees with Varney
Been told he is surplus to requirements and clearly going to be released at the end of the season
Opportunity to leave and play and maybe get a contract but if he plays and gets injured he ain't going to get a new contract with ANYONE
He has to think about his career an family and paying the bills like everyone else

Agree1 Disagree0

Rubbish! Ever since the Tevez debacle, these cases are always spun in a sensationalist manner -and usually to the detriment of the player. It has always been common for teams not to risk injuring a player they are looking to move on by playing them on the eve of an imminent move. It was Brian's decision not to play him, and even saying what he did was a bit disingenuous -a sign of a manager very much under pressure at that point (and justifying the selection of Diouf, who was abysmal). Varney never refused to play -period. Blackburn have got themselves an excellent professional and a decent player. Good luck Luke. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree he is a decent player but if your ambitions are to get into the premiership you need players that are VERY GOOD and not decent. You also need players that can hit the VERY GOOD standard 90% of the season to maintain a push for promoion, i'm afraid Varney is decent and ONLY 60% of the games he plays in.

Andy MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

He didn, t refuse to play, he asked to be left out. Totally differant. McD didn, t play him because of that and his attitude.

cellino set for football league approve next Wednesday on Thursday he is off to the bank he to buy Elland Road also expects to get promoted in his first full season also investing in the academy and setting up a "worldwide" scouting network all said by cellino

Believable33 Unbelievable3

Does anyone seriously believe that Cellino will be able to complete the purchase of LUFC and then complete on buying ER in 24 hours?

He'll probably start the ball rolling, but completion is likely to take weeks

Agree1 Disagree5

Hope so let's think positive

Agree0 Disagree0

Good luck with buying ER. Teak Commercial Ltd own ER, they're based out in the British Virgin Islands and we all know which bearded ex owner has companies out there.

Agree3 Disagree1

There is a set price and buy back clause in place on Elland road, regardless of who owns it, they can't negotiate price or refuse to sell it back.

Agree4 Disagree0

08 Feb 2014 12:51:54
He got off to a bad start so maybe his doing this to make it up to the fans he said to financail times that he is going to buy elland road on thursday he wouldn't give a day if he was lying

Agree1 Disagree1

I wil guarantee the football league will find a problem here not because who he is but because who he's doing it for

Agree0 Disagree2

He will make Teak Commercial an offer they cannot refuse. The British Virgin Islands are surrounded by waters full of fishes for them to sleep with. Naah, Cellino's loaded and money talks a hell of a lot of sense when you're playing poker with these types.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Feb 2014 20:46:58
The cost to buy back Elland road is 15m agreed a buy back clause of 15m when the ground was originally sold this lasts until around 2028

Agree1 Disagree0

If football league don't approve then it is obviosly personal against Leeds Utd as we are struggling on a financial level and this could be the way out. If knocked back they are saying we ain't bothered if you go under

EXCLUSIVE Leeds United latest: Mike Farnan from Together Leeds consortium vows "till the ink is dry, it's still not sold"

BBC west Yorks

Believable9 Unbelievable27

Hardly exclusive it's been on his twit account for last 18 hours. He's too secretive for me with all this I've got backers but not prepared to say who they are business he's been doing. Time to get behind Cellino, he's just got on with it with no fuss and done the deal so let's hope he gets football league approval so this once great club of ours can finally start to move forward again

Agree3 Disagree0

I would think the ink is well and truly dry by now, about time he foxtrot Oscar'd me thinks

Agree1 Disagree0

Disparagement of something that is not attainable or sour grapes. had his chance, should have flashed the cash, rather than spoil the party because he is now uninvited. MOT

Agree2 Disagree0

Enough is enough now. We've picked the horse now let's run with it.

Agree6 Disagree0

Correct we have to to back cellino now, iff he gives the fans respect, we will respect him!

Agree7 Disagree0

Some people should just learn to admit defeat.
