Jaap STAM by 5/2 suggests to me he's been interviewed. Good links with good teams but not a person I'd Be keen on

Bigger fan base, bigger stadium, better quality of players, better scouting network.

Bigger fan base yes, stadium is bigger (but there's is better) , scouting about the same I'd say, quality of players? well they finished third so that is open for debate, granted the mule like manager didn't help us last year, but still!

Jaap Stam would probably be a good choice, but then there's that Man Utd link!

If we are so much better than Reading, how come they made the play-offs and we didn't. Meanwhile back on planet Earth!

You all saw why we didn't make the play offs and we all put it on one mans head. If these great defenders in Hanson and Bartley were so great we'd have seen out the season properly, wood carried on scoring fair enough, but tactically we were poor, that's why we didn't make the play offs. STAM wouldn't let that happen to us, but I'm still not sure I want him. Phil Parkinson for me

Phil Parkinson Next on the radar. peoples thoughts? Excellent manager and coach, done consistently well with City and Bolton promoted first shot. Plotted Chelseas downfall in FA cup and some good results against premier opposition. Worth a shot?

Yeah who cares. Right now anyone proven with a good record will please me. I just want to a real some answers and start getting a team and a pre-season put together. Killing me the unknown, hopefully the end of the week will see us more informed.

Lived in Colchester most of my life and was a season ticket holder through the parky era, really top bloke, decent manager with an eye for a bargain (even in league 1) . Took a very mediocre Colchester side to 7th in the championship. He's a straight talker too. I think he would suit us very well. One thing is certain though, we need to give him a chance if he is appointed and not boo the minute things go against us.

Espanyol manager Quique Sanchez Flores the latest candidate to be linked to the Leeds job. It works as continuing the Spansih league and he has got experience having managed Watford previously.
