Word is that Silvestre is on his way which seems to be underlined by Turnbulls return and P Farrel receiving, certain assurances. If he goes, I will be sad as he is one of the best shot stoppers I have seen (certainly in this division) and he did start to make some progress on his weaknesses. I admit never, major leaps for mankind, but with a strong GK coach his all around game would benefit greatly.

He was decent, but it got to the point where he'd save things you thought were going in and miss things you thought he'd save lol.

Nightmare to watch lol.

Absolutely not. Silvestri is a very poor GK technically; especially in english football. Silvestri has been found out in England and has continually look suspect. He'll occasionally surprise fans; one way or another but when you look at a GKs core components… He certainly hasn't been good enough. His distribution lacked consistency and varied without a shadow in quality. The times when you're looking for your GK to come and relieve pressure with balls coming in the box… He didn't regularly command and relieve pressure. His shot-stopping ability was certainly questionable; for the occasional world-class save that he could and sometimes would produce, there were a number of errors that cost goals and points and unfortunately there is the amateur dramatics that come along with the influx of foreign players. I, for one, certainly won't be sad to see the back of him should he leave. Try and get Peacock Farrel some league experience on-loan or bleed him in with an experienced role model brought in to nurture.

Silvestri has pulled Leeds out of some serious problems, but unfortunately has also been found wanting for commanding his area and blocking simple crosses, he hasn't been nicknamed Dracula for nothing.

A real shame, but if we can (stupidly) let Schmeichels go, there is no hope for Silvestri at Leeds.

Lets hope we don't make the mistake of putting Turnbull in goal when we have Peacock Farrell though?

I think this shows real intent from the club to sign up our best players first before dipping into the market.

I expect new deals for Cook, Taylor and Mowatt to be signed over the next month or two. (Obviously they're more complex deals with regards to their worth to the club and squad) .

I wouldn't hold your breath. I think Monk is looking at younger players coming through, Mowatt seems to gone off the boil but I'd hate to lose Taylor and Cook!

Mighty whites considering a move for Anthony Stikes who is now a free agent having been released by Celtic. Alan Stubbs the new Rotherham manager also quoted as being interested having recently managed Stokes at Hibernian. Not the hardest working striker but is always capable of sniffing out a few goals.

Not ambitious enough, he was that good they would have given him another contract.

Nothing wrong with him for free. I'd take a chance. Doubt he'll be asking for silly money because he's fallen a fair way since Celtic and Champions League football.

The fact Celtic released him just means they're looking at other options with Brendan Rogers now, not because he couldn't cut it up in Scotland.

He was in the championship with Hibs, but them being the 3rd/ 4th biggest team up there isn't less ambitious, in my opinion Atleast.

Personally think he'll go back to Hibs now Lennon is in charge though. They also get European football (albeit some early stages) which is far more than what we could offer.
