I have heard from my friend, that the club marwan koukash is interested in is Birmingham, my m8 is a brummy and the rumour is big in Birmingham.

Have also heard this, strong rumours flying around in rugby league circles he is hoping to tie up a deal to buy leeds in next 4-6 weeks. Plenty of wealth, and tried to splash cash in RL, Salford just can't attract the big names. Hopefully this will be true, think with his backing we could be heading upwards

2.) 18 Jun 2013
He is looking at what was once a huge club, since when have Birmingham ever been a huge club

3.) 18 Jun 2013
No it's not mate. I am a brummy Leeds fan, and it's not as big as you are claiming.

Thought the Beeb sport reported he was looking at a club in an area with strong rugby ties?

5.) 18 Jun 2013
Not looking good, Manchester Evening News saying it's Oldham - FFS

6.) 18 Jun 2013
Oldham its in the M E and paper

7.) 18 Jun 2013
If it is Leeds I do hope that things get completed bloody sharpish and doesn't linger on for months. I'm getting a little old for all this stress.

8.) 19 Jun 2013
If this is true? Then let it be quick so we can buy some quality players for the start of the new season! Why couldn't this of happened a month ago? MOT

9.) 19 Jun 2013
According to press he's looking at Oldham Athletic!

10.) 19 Jun 2013
That narrows it down to the M62 corridor

11.) 19 Jun 2013
Surely leeds has stronger rugby ties than greater manchester no?

12.) 19 Jun 2013
I've heard that its Oldham as well. not sure where the massive club comes into that.

The oldham rumours are due to him currently being chairman of Salford RL. Koukash is said to be looking at a fallen giant in the Championship (and Oldham are neither Championship or a former big club). It appears with certain restrictions like the salary cap in RL Koukash is limited to what e can do and is therefore looking at other investments, with Leeds said to tick the boxes he wants

14.) 19 Jun 2013
Next takeover is going to be a lot smoother than the previous one.
The ins and outs of Bates's dealings and Leeds share division must have been a nightmare.
GFH will be a much more slick operation.

I hope he is looking at every other club but ours. We do not need another season of a takeover talks stalling the club going forward, like last season
