Sounds promising

LEEDS chairman Salah Nooruddin is hopeful the club will soon enter talks with a potential major new investor.

Bahrain-based businessman Nooruddin, who bought a 10 per cent stake in Leeds from owners GFH Capital in March, said the unnamed party had the financial muscle to “take the club to the next level”.

Nooruddin said: “We are very particular as to the quality and type of investor we want to bring in.

“We are looking for an investor who really adds value and can help us take the club to the next level. I think something might be on the horizon.

“But we have reached a situation where I would say we are close to engaging with one.”

Sounded like bates but with a middle eastern accent
heard it all before
too late. now to sign anyone of quality
will now again wait until after international break
again too late!!

To the first reply -

What are you talking about? How is it too late to sign anyone. The loan window is open until the end of november. Would you want the club to sign someone now and pay 2 weeks wages to sit around at home doing nothing. It makes sense to wait to the international break is over so we can keep a player for the maximum 93 days which will take us into January rather than have the loan expire due to wasting 14 days when they can't be used.

THINK! LOGIC!!

About time, a sensible reply

Noorudin raising false hopes again. Unfortunately we have to accept the fact our dreams as far dfferent to the owners

I listened to that whole interview between Adam Pope and Salad Noodles. I would say you have cherry picked the quotes which you wanted to hear. In there was also the quotes about not reaching the Prem League for another two seasons, as they pay of debts etc. I'm not to dispondent, it was honest in some respects, but in all honesty all I took from it, was they have little actual funds to invest in the playing squad, and they want an investor to take over. "We are close to engaging with one" beautiful subtle meaningless answers. Does this mean close to one joining the club, or close to one actually talking to them. It was a charm offensive, on the New Chairmans introduction to the public. Still we have no new signings or investment!

Well said CRMD, at least you know what the crack is!

I really wish all this negativity would stop. We are all Leeds and want what's best for OUR club. whether that be a supporter who doesn't get to go to games for what ever reason, season ticket holder, player, manager or board room staff. we all want to see Leeds progress and do well.

Nooruddin has come out and told the fans the truth with what's going on at the minute, Brian has come out and said he won't sign players just for the sake of it and wants people who want to be at Leeds and can improve our team, the players we have now are a bit low on confidence but so far this season I have been to every home game (League and cup) and I haven't seen 1 player in a Leeds shirt not give his all. There are far too many people on here who claim to be Leeds fans and do nothing but slate the club and moan about no players been brought in. If we did what the persons on here want we would be in a far worse position both financially and on the pitch.

Leave the running of our club to the professionals who get paid good money to do so. In my eyes everyone body at the club are doing their best and are doing a fantastic job. leave them too it rather than causing unrest making their job more difficult than it needs to be. It will all fall in to place in the next 18months

rant over!

The perpetual moaning of lufc fans. All we do is bring the club down. We need patience. Everyone expects instant success. If they are trying to get extra funds then great if we don't mange it we have I stop talking about what we don't have. Have patience. Keep the faith.

The team were in a bad run. Good Results breed confidence. Bad results drain confidence. We just have to pick up a few points and the team will start playing well. We had a good start and the current players showed a lot more than then than they have recently. Have faith. Not the. End of the world if it isn't this season. Brian had to build it over time! MOT

It annoys me how negative people are!, In all honesty can anyone say GFH have done a bad job? they may not have stupid amounts of cash but they are keeping the club in the green financially and getting young hungry players in, if they don't get investors in I will be a bit upset but we can get up the hard way by signing rough diamonds and turning them into proper players. Plus we have ever progressing youth players.
