Careful what you wish for. Still got to see a signing or current player that is as good as him yet. When he was playing we usually conceded two or less (usually less) goals. Not getting the points was usually down to our poor attacking options not him.

Agree with Hesslian on Bellusci. There was a period either side of Christmas last season when the quality of Bellusci's defending more or less kept us afloat. At his best, he was head and shoulders above our other defenders, with clean, decisive tackling and long passing way beyond the scope of most Championship defenders. His errors were always highlighted by the local media, in a way that those of their favourites (e. g. Bamba) never were. Not perfect by any means, and may have been an abrasive character, but like Hesslian, I don't see anyone else in our current squad who's clearly better. Reckon he carried the can for rampant anti-Cellino / Italian feeling, verging sometimes on xenophobia it has to be said, on the part of some of our local media and others.
