Interesting story in the press about Liverpool having an interest in Leif Davis and a quoted value of 4 million pounds. We signed him from Morecambe for an undisclosed fee but I'm sure I heard a figure of 400k mentioned, with add on clauses I'm sure.

Clubs like Liverpool will have lots of scouting lists and possible names and I'm sure he is just one that they have had a look at. It does say a lot about the way in which the transfer market is working. Talent picked up and passed on up the leagues.

Interesting dilema if we do get a proper offer. Realistically, will he get much game time next year for us? Our share of 4 million pays a few bills!

I say sell for 4 mill. He has potential but so have quite a few of our U23s. He is unproven and needs to fulfill that potential yet.

My mate says they have got some talent in their Academy so he doesn't understand this story

Personally I would definitely accept an offer, as like you, I don't think he will get much game time and has a whole host of left backs in front of him

I saw we are linked with a £2m move for Lowe of Portsmouth. "A goalscoring winger in League One". I do t understand why we would be forking out that sort of money when we have Wilks coming back from Doncaster and he is "A goalscoring winger in League One"
