I cannot comment on what goes on behind closed doors however the Cresswell standoff is worrying.
For a player, so highly regarded, even spoken of as a future captain to be ostracized at this stage in his career seems, at best, unfortunate.
Surely common sense must prevail and all parties concerned should be locked in a room with instructions to compromise and empathise.
You can see the lads need for game time. Surely he is worth a few minutes at the end of games. If he is as good as he thinks he is let's all see it but to alienate a "Leeds" defender when we need defenders is so, so regrettable. Please someone get a grip, step in and sort it.

Mentioned this a few times, but Xresswell just isn't the kind of profile defender that fits into Farke's system. He wants ball playing CBs, and that is not Cressy, unfortunately.

Rodon, Struijk and Ampadu are all good at breaking the line and finding progressive passes to set up attacks. Cresswell doesn't really have that in his locker to anywhere near the same extent. To me, it makes sense why he isn't getting a look in.

Good post Leodis. On top of what Dill says, which sadly (in a way) is spot on, I’m left wondering why there has not been much interest in him from outside the club this window? Farke won’t be the gaffer forever, so if the potential of the player is so high, surely a loan to another Champ club is the best solution for all parties?

What Dilli said. Sell.

As Brighty said DF won't be the gaffer forever; less than 2 seasons potentially

The next gaffer may well love Cressy. England under 21 player after all

Leeds also need to stop selling their good young players, give them chances . Davis for £1 million increasingly looks shoddy business on Leeds last.

Neither wass Copper Dill but that hasn't stopped him getting. game time from last few managers

It's just not fair what has happened with Crezzer

Not all players have same attributes
Crezzer old skool, and handy for a more muscular type striker, and he's a plan b option when plan A ( playing out from back ) ain't going so well

At least give the lad a run of cameos to see how. it. goes, starting in the Cup

We ain't going nowhere in it so what's to lose?
Only a point to show for Farke.

Baz Leif was sold for a 7 figure undisclosed fee. It was probably double the sum you suggest.

Hopefully it all gets resolved. He would of had his chance to play recently and had a chance to impress, but had missed that chance. Fortunately, this has given Gruev a chance and he's really impressed me with what I have seen with him. He always seems positive when he gets the ball and moves forward with it. Can also break up play as well and has been involved in the build up to some goals where he has played some decent balls. Cresswell needs to take note of this and realise he can't just expect to be first choice, but needs to take his chance when it comes.

Agree 100%. Young Cresswell and even younger Cresswell should be included in the plan for the future of our club.

Cressy doesn't have enough the experience of Cooper though, which I'd assume is a factor. Esp given Farke did mention the other week he feels Cressy not mentally ready (to paraphrase) .

I'm not actually against him getting some game time and you make a point about him being able to deal with different CFs, Chris. Just think that's the reason why.

Unfortunately as fans we don’t get to see what Cresswell does within our team simply because he hasn’t played that often. I imagine in training though he’s not reaching the requirements of what Farke desires witin the way we play our football. Farke has told him that he is welcome to stay at Leeds and try to improve himself.

As for the sale of Davies it was an undisclosed fee, but minimum off 1 Mill, it was quite possibly more than that and I do believe there were substantial add ons that were included with the deal. Sadly for Davies he is another player who is simply not good enough for our team and the way we play.
