Moan moan moan moan moan, that's all the majority on here seem to do. Why support Leeds if all you ever do is be negative? We can still make the play offs mathematically! We've played well the last two games and not got the points we deserve, have some faith in the team and the manager!
If the season comes to an end and we finish in mid table, then look forward to the summer, a new manager new players a fresh start and could be under new ownership!
No point in moaning about it all, just live for the next game and see what happens, one day we will all get what we want it takes time, enjoy the ups and live with the downs, and eventually we will get ups on a regular basis!
Leeds and Proud, we all should be!
March on together, and let's beat the Boro!

I know what you mean pal its all gone a bit flat with the supporters but this league is very tight. every team will drop points if we went on a little winning run we would be right amongst it. play offs still a very realistic goal! Come on let's get behind the lads we can do it! Karl mot

It's the glass half full people on here who are delusional that things are going to be happy ever after
The glass half empty fans who are realists and are not happy to settle for second third or fiftieth best, actually want the club and team to improve.
I'd rather seek improvement a d want more than play sheep and follow thy leader, regardless of how inept he has proved. He has actually proved nothing other than how poor a manager he is.

What I love is everyone saying how GFH are the same as Bates. What are you basing that on. We asked for a lot and they have delievered alot. Cheaper tickets. Half season tickets. getting rid of dead wood. And when we lose our best player we replaced him with a like for like for the first time.

Ausman, I don't understand how you can have a right to have a go at us fans that are a little optomistic about what we want for us.

Which young player have they sold this time? They extended Whites contract before they even took over the club, extended Byrams then top player in Diouf. Swapped 29 year old becchio for a better 29 year old striker and money. Lowered tickets, half season tickets, invested 2m in the summer before they actually owned the club. Oh yeah looking at all that I see why he is the same as bates. haha. Also the guy on about half empty = realists and seeking improvement, its making us worse as the atmosphere is shocking, also what benefit does it give being negative as if you moan 24/7 on this rumour site do you really think it will change anything. As a Leeds fan it pains me to say this but he was right about one thing there are a lot of people who support this once great club.

On what basis are you saying morrison is better than becchio? can you tell me when morrison last scored 16 goals by january in a season?

Maybe they should have taken over the club before extending whites contract so they could have had a look at him, then they would have probably sold him and got any money they could for him as he is mostly pants

I hope for the good of this great club that GFH will sell their shares or majority. Feel it's time to go forward and upwards. But I do hope for investment on the pitch as well as the bricks and mortar. Just my own thoughts before the bully boys start waying in.
Believable11
Unbelievable3
Am I being naive here?
Surely if GFH sold, say 30% of their shares then they would have around 15 million to invest in new players, etc?
Or would they pocket the money to recoup their investment in buying Leeds and then expect the new investors to pump even more money in to purchase players etc?
Doesn't seem a very attractive proposition if that's the case?

I don't think it as bad as I first thought. Something is happenning at Leeds one idea is that NW might walk in the summer, so the new owners/investors have a idea of a new manager and will give him the money for him to create a team he wants.

"one idea is that NW might walk in the summer"
That isn't 'one idea' that is the true situation as it stands, Warnock was given this season to get promotion and then the agreed contract ends?
After that it's down to both parties to decide if it is renewed/extended?
Apparently no discussion has taken place about his future yet?

I think we should keep Warnock we have been unlucky in the last 2 games and should of had at least 4 points. Can't blame Warnock for a few mistakes. I think things are getting better. Had becchio still been with us we would of probably got all 6 points. I was saying Warnock out a month ago but feel things are now turning for the good and hopefully in time to make playoffs

anyone catch this in a certain tabloid this morning?
Recent developments have accelerated the move for adkins (which was due to take place in the summer), with Warnock moving to take up the papacy at the Vatican.
Speaking in a press conference, Neil conceded:

just wondered where they were in january during window when they kept there head down.
also we have to be realistic, if we lose tomorrow then we may as well start preparing for next season.
i mean boro can't win a game lately, then again wolves have lost at home a lot to but we only got a point.
if we are 8 points behind boro after tomorrow then surely we can't swing that, and also i'm not even mentioning the batch of other clubs in there. shrew leeds

OK i've got nothing against Warnock. We've not done amazing this year but I'm pretty happy with the position we're in now considering the size of our investment compared to other clubs. However, one thing which is really starting to annoy me and a few others i've talked to is Warnock's lack of substitutes. He barely ever takes people off, and the amount of times I've seen him make his first substitute in the last minute is ridiculous. He doesn't seem to understand that players get tired and I think that contributed to our draw over the weekend. He plays more or less the same players every game which I have no problem with, but the fact that he doesn't even give a chance to others through substitutes is depressing. Pearce I feel isn't being given enough time and don't get me started on Hall. I think he has great potential, but what's the point of signing him to make him a benchwarmer? He doesn't give enough people a chance. You never know, that might be what we're missing to get in a few cheeky goals and results. MOT

re the OS statement - This all just looks like a PR constructed, padded out way of saying we are for sale to me. In much the same way as Mick Jones kick started that whole Beccio saga. It's just bull. They have no money. They are chancers. They have found that the only way they can get fans back is by proper investment in the team and they can't do that or they would have mentioned it here. Note the total lack of reference to INVESTING in the team. The attendance figures will continue to drop whilst we have no investment and an average team with only a chancers potential. Also worth noting - the vultures of West Brom and Sheff United publish their interest in two of the players with greatest long term potential the morning after. Those press releases must have been sent to publications within an hour or so of the OS statement going online. Coincidence? No. They know we are weak at holding players. They also know that if a full sale goes through then the old Bates model, even if GFH have only just begun to adopt it outright as of now (giving them the benefit of the doubt in their hour of desperation), will give them maybe enough money to justify the short term purchase of the club if they pocket the income. It's all a carefully controlled PR machine in motion.

Very Dissapointed with throwing away 2 valuable ponts at the weekend however, still 100% everything to play for, the next 6 games are against either teams above or teams also battling for a playoff place, every game a 6 pointer.
It's going to be a well exciting end to the season and I for one am still confident we can get into the playoffs, if we can hold onto Barkley and get a winger this week, it'll add that extra spark we needed in the last 2 games which we should have won! Roll on Tues

What about the very long list of games we won but didn't deserve to - Palace, Leicester, Barnsley, Bolton for starters. Bit rose-tinted - we are not a top 6 side. The table doesn't lie is one of the oldest, and truest, clichés in football.

But luckily for me I have all you guys to ask probably all the same questions. don't let them shy away from any question, don't let them sidestep or bulls**t, this maybe the only chance we get to get some real answers.

Ed. And other fans. I don't really know anything about the goings on behind the scenes at a football club. Anything more than footy manager i'm clueless. I just support the squad of players and hope to here good things from the club. i'd like to ask of your opinions on how gfh are doing compared to bates ownership. Are we looking in a better position than before? Are we going the right way? I like to be optimistic but all these rumours don't sound good. Dannylufc {Ed013's Note - It all depends on what their long term plan is as they know that they must spend to take this club forward and that may require investment which if done the right way is fine. They have started well, reduced some tickets, made available half season tickets, paid up contracts of dead wood players and created social network sites to interact with the fans. People are only judging GFH on the lack of big money signings, they need to realise that Jan is a hard month to buy players and if Neil goes before next season then it is better to back the new man rather than waste money on players that may not be needed next season}

GFH are an investment company.
I'm not sure what the surprise is that they are looking for investment.
From the onset it has been made clear that they had a wealthy investor from the middle east on board. Encouraging local investment to compliment this is a very positive move.
Whilst I'm not uncomfortable with overseas investment in English football, I am uneasy with this being solely down to one wealthy individual.
As we have seen, hiring and firing players and managers on a personal whim does nothing for the long term stability of the club and connection with fans. Also, what happens if they get bored and pull out.
I've been pretty impressed with GFH. Courting wealthy local investors or consortiums not only adds additional working capital and funds, but also means means decision making is more strategic to the long term benefit of LUFC.
In addition, as the investors are local, this reconnects with the community and hopefully the fan base.
I've also been impressed with the more open and honest links that GFH are trying to make with supporters. Asking and encouraging feedback and hopefully starting to act on this. Lower priced tickets, half season tickets etc are at least a start. The forum, , twitter and trying to meet fans face to face is opposite to what we ve come to expect and they re obviously trying to build bridges.
GFH are investment brokers. They do what it says on the tin. They will probably have a % share themselves, but mainly help run and organize a larger group our wealthy individuals who also have a stake in the club.
This spreads the risk, but also although hopefully some of them will be genuine fans, ultimately they want to make money. The big bucks are in the premier league. The even bigger bucks are in the champions league. The serious money is then in spreading the brand across Asia.
These guys aren't stupid. They ve seen the potential, wrestled control from the egomaniac captain Birdseye, and now are looking to take us forward.
I know it s difficult to forget the last 7 or 8 years, suspicion and lies etc. But the least we can do is try and give them a bit of time. Remember, they ve only had 7 weeks. I see this as the start of an exciting new era.
Keep the faith. At least until the world stops spinning round.

Lots of fans wanted the new owners to be our saviours, to show the ambition and investment that would help take the club back to the top. IMO the current owners simply don't have the capital to do so. It's all very well Mr Patel tweeting a link to an article saying that January is a bad time to buy players and for the OS to have a statement describing all the great players acquired since the takeover. Sorry but it doesn't wash with me. Why couldn't they find the extra money for Burke, where were the players of the calibre of Boyd? It says it all when you realise that our new owners are already seeking investors. Isn't that what Bates did for 8 years?
Believable13

Big difference is NOBODY wanted to do business with Bates! Already investors interested - Adam Pearson being the only one that's public. GFH stated from the outset that they would welcome investors that would help take the club forward on a sustainable footing. Jimbo

So if gfh have just bought Leeds why would anyone put in a bid to invest, why would any businessman think they could get into a business that has just been bought out because they obviously have nothing to offer. It's time for realisation lads, they are no better than bates in their own statement today they will listen to investment offers if right, if you had loads of cash no-one would be asking for investment. Gfh are going the right way about things and if there is an inverter suitable then great. Obviously gfh have something to offer they own Leeds united which is what's been bought by new investors to give us cash for players ect.
