Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Bates said,
"I must urge the fans to have patience. There will not be much movement over the next month or 2."

Well if this is true, looks like warnock will be walking aswell, if hes true to his word....we shall see who the bulls***er is?

Surely he is just saying that to get people off his back and calm all media speculation down. As if their not going to continue buying/selling through summer, we would end up with out a team otherwise!

Im unsure with the meanig of this like you say neil would walk could he possibly mean they cant confirm signings untill july even though terms etc agreed i dont know just a thought

It says there will not be Much movement, it does not say there will be NO movement, why are you trying to cause disharmony?

Warnock would not say i want 2 t 3 players in before end of may, if bates wasn't goin to do that. bates always trys his hardest to keep transfers low key. WATCH THIS SPACE!! mot4life

Maybe he means that signings wont be unveiled until July when contracts expire? Plus isnt 1st July the 'official' date of transfer window opening?

Why do fans listen to a word that 80 year old loser ever says ,i wouldnt give him the time of day,always bad mouthing the fans,if the fans ignored him the better we would all be,he loves been the villian and craves the attention.

Bates is tight with hiis money bt who isnt. He saved us in my eyes and hes doin a great job in buildind our club for the future. Give him a break

I think the point Bates is trying to make is that alot of contract for players run to July 1st and it makes no financial sense to conclude the deal prior to that date as the host club still is paying the players wages. Common sense really

Love snoddy but thats what he does and it all comes down to what you do when you drift back into the game. Which tells you he's a good player, like snoddy can pull a rabbit out the hat right when you need it. mot4life

Your thinking of the wrong Boyd if your talking about him cutting at Forest... Where he never played! That Boyds the one who was a striker and failed miserably before jetting off abroad (somewhere in Turkey I think). {Ed007's Note - Kris Boyd. He is now in the MLS.}

George Boyd WAS on loan at Forest. Look it up....

Any player can have a bad spell somewhere, Boyds a quality player

If I remember correctly Boyd went on loan to forest and played around 6 games which isn't enough for anyone to settle in an area. Whenever he has played us he has looked great and been by far Peterborough's best player. He versatility across the midfield is what we need.

Newsflash Ken Bates has just said we wont be signing anyone until August as he doesn't want to pay players wages during the summer while they wont be playing football lol. Get ready for another season of disappointment.

It's Bates bs. If this were true Warnock would have gone by now. I've heard we've actually already made a few signings but can't announce them until July. Chill out man, listen to Warnock, not Bates.

I have a feeling that many fans will be let down with all these names that are getting flung about.....I bet half the new team will be from the academy to keep wages low....

If you actually look at what Bates said, it doesn't sound all that negative. For instance, he seems to imply that of the players offered new contracts White may be the only one not to re-sign. Personally I would settle for that.

Sorry worrying, if u really think we cant sign anyone for a while then your as daft as Grayson, Warnock and his people will be working full out and probably calming speculation down, n I agree I don't think they will be the big obvious names but I won't be dissapointed,most are average and probably more interested in picking the pay packet up, hungry young players Warnock said, and Pearce is a great start, everything with a pinch of salt with bates, don't worry people

TOP STORY LADS!!! green and boyd are in the process of signing contracts with lufc. source, my mums brothers, nephew. Well his aunty on his dads side, knows a guy who lives 600 miles away but gets the evening post exspress delivery! and he said his dog in the middle of the night sleep walks and talks to its self and over heard this rumour after he had the barks subtitled. you heard it hear first lads. mot4life. WOOOOOOOF!
