Most people saying Sam Byram player of the year. wouldn't totally disagree but for me Tom Lees is the man. He keeps getting better and better every game and is a future captain. Ask yourself who would we miss more for rest of season? Lees no doubt in my opinion. Not saying Sam isn't a class act but right now Lees is the main man a ER and for that reason is my player of the year. Actually nice to have two young english defenders of a certain class in our team. What odds of both one day playing for England? Barring injury I say its a certainty. Anyway roll on tuesday eve. and a good result. MOT.

Lees is caught napping too many times this season and slightly out of position at times. Byram doesn't make many mistakes at all and without him we wouldn't of got half of the points we have got. Not only does byram defend very well he terrorises the opposition defence so by far the player of the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree. 2 great players in the making and future england internationals.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lees has been outstanding since the Tate/Pearce partnership proved to be built on sand. I just hope Chris Hughton hasn't realised yet.

Agree1 Disagree1

Agree also about being future England Internationals, but let make sure they will be England internationals with us and not hijacked by current premier league clubs for peanuts. MOT.

Unsung hero is our Tom. Although to say this is Byram's first season as a pro he ain't half done well!

Agree0 Disagree0

If Lees got injured Pearce could come in and do a good job as he was doing before he got sent off and lost his place.
If Byram got injured only choice is Peltier back to full back where he has struggled whilst looking a class act at centre back
That said rate both of them highly and both have every chance of becoming class acts just hope its with Leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

I think diouf has been quality aswell! Byram has been outstanding.

City manager Roberto Mancini is set to make an £8m move for Leeds defender Sam Byram, 19, who is viewed as a long-term successor for Pablo Zabaleta.

Byram could well become our 'Gareth Bale', and nobody wants to see him leave. But it would take one hack of a brave board to turn down £8m.

While we are moving in the right direction though I think we should manage to keep hold of him. For now.

Agree0 Disagree0

If Man City do try and buy Byram I hope for his sake that he turns it down, Man City is not the team to go to at his young age, there is no hiding place at a club like that, and if he makes one or 2 mistakes City will spend 10m on a replacement and his career will be take a hammering. Having said that I think we could improve the team considerably with that sort of money.

Agree2 Disagree0

Yeah I saw it in THE SUN, hope he doesn't leave but he does have a great potental

Agree1 Disagree0

Byram should take note of the players that have left are club and done nothing in ther careers woods and taiwo are the two that sprind to mind only left for the money just hope sam doesn't do the same.

Agree1 Disagree0

As much as i'd like Byram to stay, I think 8 million or more is too good to turn down we could we could get 4-5 quality players for that price which is exactly what we need.

Agree1 Disagree1

Any player that decides to go to city is complete lunatic and may as well kiss goodbye to their career and just warm the bench. It wouldn't be for footballing reasons anyway. As the song goes by Abba money money money and one name Scott Sinclair ever heard of him? Only for Swansea but certainly not for city so Byram beware for the sake of your career stay put lad.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think he would go. Yes there's the money but he won't play football. Mancini could buy him and be out the door. Another big name manager would come in and spend crazy money on players again and Sam wouldn't be guaranteed to play. Look at Scott Sinclair, should never have left Swansea. He went to replace Adam Johnson as Silva back up. Pointless

I agree with the comments that man city is not the kind of club he should go to (if true and if he goes) unless he wants to sit in their reserves & see little or no first team action however at that kind of fee, the choice might be out of his hands and most clubs who have a player a club is willing to pay that much for is likely to snap their hands off. in all fairness, unless you're one of the clubs with money and or billionaire owners, £8m for a player who has had 1 good season is a lot of money and regardless of what we'd like to think, every player has a price. I'd hate to see him go but at that level, you have to seriously consider it IF its all going to be reinvested in the squad

Agree0 Disagree0

The story ran in the s*n. c'mon people 8m is not even realistic, it just shows ruperts cronies haven't got a clue.
they just make it up

Agree0 Disagree0

If we sell byram for 8 mill how much will be spent on team strenthening, naff all.
needs to stay put and improve, don't fall foul to 2nd season syndrome

Agree0 Disagree0

Take 8 mil loan him back buy players for next seasons push to the prem

Agree0 Disagree0

To the 4th poster telling byram to note woods and taiwo. funny why you don't mention lennon or milner?
