Leeds are looking at Jason Koumas, the ex Wigan midfielder is available on a free transfer.

Would be a good signing imho. MOT.

Believable25 Unbelievable12

Koumas would be a great free signing but the wages would sadly put pay to any hope of him coming to us. We don't want to pay a decent Championship wage let alone premier league money

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure, isn't Koumas more of an attacking MF, we need a defensive minded MF to back up the defence wich is weak at times.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is there any source or is this just more pure speculation?

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds need a more defensive minded MF IMO, whic h Koumas isn't. We cant have all attacking players and no back bone. I mean ok we have Brown, but he's old, Clayton ok but rest are attacking minded.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is our biggest source isn't he that Pure Speculation character.

Tom Soares has had a medical at Leeds, source the man himself (twitter) . . .

@TomSoares8Tom Soares

just got the medical to go at #lufc and it will all be sorted. #newbeginnings

Believable20 Unbelievable9

Is this another fake Tom soares twitter? The same one that claimed he was going through a medical etc ages ago?

Agree0 Disagree0

Is a fake account mate. He said that he was signing for Leeds about 3 months ago

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this just anotha bullsh@t post or do you have proof?

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster here, its on twitter, but just realised that was from july. oops my bad, still could be on the cards? i mean maybe we couldnt agree a fee back then, not to say all is dead and burried, loan a possibility?

Agree0 Disagree0

Not happening mate. I can assure you it's a fake account. It was "outed" by a few people back when the tweet was made. would of been a decent player, but its not him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't the Stoke press officer come out and say that it's a fake account

Agree0 Disagree0

Just don't get this one.
A player who has played just 7 times for his club in 3 years and been loaned out a couple of times to strugglng clubs.
If he were any good better championship clubs would have been after him.
Not good enough for us!

Agree0 Disagree0

TS not the player we need - hasn't played competitively for 3yrs as "above comment" only league cup - loaned out to the Wendy's played poor...! never been the same player since leaving Palace as a promising youngster..

Maybe Grayson can see something, pulling that white shirt on may transform him into a world beater

Didn't Man City say that about Clayton?

Leeds are to make a double swoop for Tom Soares and Danny Pugh from Stoke, both players are surplus to requirements and will be very good additions to the squad. MOT

Believable13 Unbelievable8

Would be bloody good signings! if bates signs them then im a bates fan.

Official Forsell has signed on OS

www.leedsunited.com/news/20110908/forssell-signs-for-united_2247585_2444880

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Bye, bye Billy Paynter. Keogh, Forssell, Somma, Becchio, McCormack, Nunez, Snodgrass - who needs poor old Bill?

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a bad strikeforce to choose from. In all honesty, Becchio will probably struggle to win a place. The question has to be not who partners Becchio, but who partners McCormack and with the options now available Becchio will no longer be an automatic choice. Nice position to be in!

Forssell has signed :)

Believable10 Unbelievable3

A good signing IMO. That must be nail in the coffin (or shud i say barn door?) for Billy, he will be released or loaned.

FORSSELL SIGNS UNTILL END OF SEASON

Believable11 Unbelievable1

Can't imagine where he will fit into the scheme of things. Grayson says Paynter is still part of his plans so is that Paynter and Forssell up front and everyone else on the bench with Nunez!? Can't imagine why we have signed a striker before sorting the defence and midfield out, though Pugh sounds like he is on his way.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good, can he play at right back, left back, centre back and centre midfield?

Agree0 Disagree0

You cant comment unless he doesn't bring defenders in, maybe he has defenders lined up e.g pugh and wants forssell aswel, forssell in paynter out = ++++++++++++++++

forrsell on loan... done

Believable4 Unbelievable16

Perm til end of season. cant loan a free agent

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah person Free agent a perm contract until the end of the Season

Agree0 Disagree0

More b******* being spouted....cant loan a free agent you tosser!

Agree0 Disagree0

Get F***** why are you so mad it's not bulls**t, the first report i read about it said, season long loan, it was obviously inaccurate because they hadn't stated that he was a free agent and believed he was playing in Germany. He's at the club none the less for the remainder of the season. I only come to post real signings/loans, speak out of tone again and I will dominate your soul

Mikael Forssell just signed a one year contract with Leeds.

Believable8 Unbelievable2

08 Sep 2011 15:57:17
New United signing Mikael Forssell is hoping his "hunger for goals" will provide added ammunition in the club's quest for Championship success.

The 30-year-old former Birmingham and Chelsea forward has signed a deal until the end of the season at Elland Road.

I'm delighted," said the striker. "I'd had three good years in Germany with Hannover, but I've missed English football and I really wanted to come back here.

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Good news. certainly was a good player. Its not all gloom and doom. Get behind the team and stop whinging about the chairman. If he goes whos got the tens of millions the fans expect us to spend! we cant magic money out of no whee. If all those moaning can put their hands in their pockets and spend a couple of million then do so! Its tedious and does the team and the club no favours. It doesnt matter what you think of Bates as a person, he is the one in charge and we have a solvent club. We are not Arsenal with milions sat in the bank. We have a decent team, and even losing Max we can still compete in this division. Surely there should be some question marks over Grayson. A number of poor signings; Bessone, Paynter, Collins, the Danish goalkeeper!, Bannon etc etc.
get behind the boys MOT!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Not my first area that would require strengthening, but fair play to the lad and I'm 110% behind him, or anyone else that wears the white (or black) of Leeds United. {Ed045's Note - here here.

Agree0 Disagree0

Has to be better than Paynter in my eyes!, Some goalkeepers score more than him

so emergency loan market opens today for football league clubs. im guessing sanchez watt will come back, not something i wanna see as i thought hee was useless last season. hopefully get a lb and cm

Believable3 Unbelievable15

I agree he has not done anything at any club yet, and dont know why some fans are so obsessed with him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Slowly but surely sg, and Bates have brainwashed us into not only thinking, but excepting, and we are recomending through leeds rumours etc, second best, we do not desreve donkeys when we need thoroughbreds.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sanchez is still raw and is what, 20 years old? I don't see why we shouldn't get him again, he loves the city and the club so he'll fight to get into the team which is just what we need, I agree with the lack of ambition though.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Watt has the potential still young very tricky has pace which i think the squad lacks i for one would be happy to have him back at Leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

Was hampered by injuries if he comes back after not seeing a lot of action last season that proves that he likes the club and wants to prove himself he clearly has ability and potential

Snodgrass was to be sold b4 the tranfer window but it was too late to be signed off n will go in jan 2.5 mil. Howson is still waiting on a new deal but may go if new players don't come in jan

Believable4 Unbelievable21

Don't you spout a load of rubbish...snoddy is going nowhere and neither is howson.

people who spout rubbish like this should be banned from sites like this as all they post is lies!

Agree0 Disagree0

2.5 million!? Your having a laugh right? He was valued at 8m last time anyone asked bates about him been sold!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we reject 5m and then sell him for 2.5m?
Snods will stop, he didn't show enough consitency last season to warrant his 8m price tag. Howson will stop too.
Next piece of rubbish from somebody talking out of their backside?

Agree0 Disagree0

Was the original post a leeds fan? if so u obviously dont follow leeds at all. we reject 5 million and reports suggest blackburn bid 6.3 million on deadline day. so we reject them and sell in 4 months for 2.5 million??

Agree0 Disagree0

Firstly i think this post is utter nonsense and you couldnt be further from the truth mate!

however, everyone that replied saying "Snodgrass was valued at 8m" and "why would we turn down 5m n then accept 2.5m.......................dare i mention a one Max Gradel?! firstly we turned down an estimated 4m n ended up seeling him for closer to 3m and secondly bates/Grayson said they wouldnt entertain bids of less than 10m.

Say no more

Agree0 Disagree0

To the guy who posted last re: gradel went for lower than what we had previously turned down. You are correct he did but Max had been wanting out for a while saying this club and that club are interested in him etc he even used an excuse that he wanted to go home just so we would sell him to the club that obviously offered him the most money. Snoddy hasn't came out and spoke about any clubs after him or hasn't been making and noises about leaving and his contract isn't up at the end of this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the reply of my original post lol!..

yeh i agree totally and like i said in the opening line i think the poster couldnt be more wrong with this post. however, the point i was making is that price tags and loyalty in football are about as useful as a chocolate fireguard as money talks, and when you have Ken Bates in charge money seems to talk louder than everywhere else!

i don't think Snoddy will go as i think he is very happy at Leeds and has never stated he wants to go home (Scotland) or anything! but again, i agree with what your saying pal
