1.) What's the big thing with buying the ground/TA back- it's of no consequence other than its 'comforting', and makes us 'whole again', but as for getting promotion it's a distraction. We do own the ground anyway- by way of a leasehold interest. ( don't Man City rent the commonwealth stadium off Manc a Council? - either that or something along the lines of they did for a while and bought it when they were ready/ able to?) It's like saying you don't own your own flat because it's a long lease- you do, you own the lease which is protected and can only end if you default on the rent. it's totally different to having a short term tenancy. You can own your house and still loose it if you default on the mortgage. For all we know MC has made enquiries, agreed a deal, and is on with it- it may take months and months to sort- might be an agreement to buy at end of lease in 10 years+ - as long as a deal is being done, that's all that matters. Maybe he or his family are buying it rather than the club- maybe he has bought Teak investments in the Cayman ilses/ BVI or wherever they are based- as it might be more tax efficient for him- that way you wouldn't know if he's bought it or not- the shares in the company that owns it would have merely changed hands. ultimately the ownership is irrelevant- it's about finance- how much there is for players, how much for rental/ mortgages and how much to run the business. This, along with how wisely that finance is administered and delivers performance on the pitch is what counts. Admittedly, the finance picture could change if the ownership arrangements change- but that change could be better or worse- as if MC spends £ millions on changing the property ownership, it can't also spend that on the important stuff. Hope that clears it up.

{Ed003's Note - could you register in future please.}
