Saying and doing are 2 different things.
But staying that, I don't think he will have to ask to leave. If a bid of £6m+ comes in for him they will accept it. Just hope the club reinvest the whole amount into the team, as it certainly needs it.
I don't know about football contracts, but my contract at work states I can be asked to perform any role within the company, but cannot suffer a wage decrease. It is plausible that the same could be used in football.
This is just the kind of example why we must move on without McDermott.
His overall history in the transfer market for lufc has been poor at best.
