Drawing towards the end of another week with no signings!

As corky said in a reply earlier, there is realism.

Rumour wise we’ve gone from Paixoa, Perri and Muniz to Sergant, Boga and Gunn!

Come now, that’s an insane drop in expectations.

I really want to believe in the recruitment but they have given us nothing to rekindle that belief.

Are they just managing the fans expectations with these tier 3 rumours.

First pre season game is what 9 days away.

We still have Gyabi, Greenwood, joffy, Meslier, Harrison and Bamford stinking the place out.

Good point Dave. Why are we hearing zero rumours of the above players being moved on?
Throw in Gruev too even though I think he’s half decent but if we’re looking at two more CMs he’s obviously surplus.
That’s roughly 30 million for those seven players.

We are a massive club in stature but not in nature. We can't attract the names being bandied about due to being recently promoted, if we were relegated (which i don't think we will) would these so called bigger players want to play in the Champo? Absolutely not so relegation clauses would probably be inserted like last time.

My guess is we buy players who give us a chance of staying up without the potential for imploding should we get relegated then buy more known players when we survive and build the foundations for the future.

Lastly i think we will make a couple of marquee signings in the positions were they will make a difference. We all know what these are.

maybe what chippenham said, but
with these signings why not use a bit of nous here when signing a player, for example, no relegation clauses, meaning if they really don't want to play in champo then maybe just maybe they will try their socks off not to be relegated.
as we all know there is not a lot of loyalty these days, give a player a clause, he thinks, well if we go down i can always go somewhere else, on ther other hand, stay up and impress maybe a good profit to be made.
just a thought.
