Who on earth would want bechio back? He hasn't played in over a year., and he was no great shakes when he was at ER

No great shakes while he was here? Are you mental. He's a club legend. God knows where we would be without his highly vital goals. He was pushed out the door by Warnock after hitting 19goals by January. The whole squad didn't score that many after he left. Without him we could've been relegated. He's the clubs 10th highest goal scorer of all time.

Yeah you're right actually. He's no use. Glad to see the back of him.

Well said post above. Legend! i'd have him back in a breath! much better than what we currently have

I agree Becchio is a leeds ledgend and his goals for us last season were vital.

i don't agree he was forced out as he handed a transfer request in so that comment doesn't wash with me.

i understand why he went in regards to thinking about his future and his family as a football career is a short 1 and a player has to attain as much money as possible. I love leeds utd but if it was me i'd be off where I could get the most money and so would anyone else on here

A legend!? He did well, but leget sure about? Not sure about that. He was never part of a great team and won nothing!
Can you mention him in the same breath as Radebe, Speed, Bremner, Lorimer, Clarke, viduka etc etc.
Nope, so not a legend!

As much has I liked becchio he is no legend cult hero yes come on get real eddie gray and peter lorimer and most of the 70s side are

6.) 25 Oct 2013
He scored 19 in half a season! no great shakes?

How can you say Becchio isn't a legend because he was part of a team that won nothing and then go onto say he can't be mentioned in the same breath as Radebe or Viduka.

I'd say Lucas Radebe and Mark Viduka are Leeds legends but they were part of teams that won nothing.

Technically Becchio was part of a squad that won promotion so let's give him some credit.

It's not like we are throwing the term legend about to easily and attaching it to some tripe like Jermaine Wright or utter persons like Kevin Nicholls. This is Luciano Becchio. He's a cult hero at Elland Road and would be easily welcomed back and he's proven at this level and would find the back of the net with great ease

Cult hero is different to legend.radebe and vidkua didn't win anything, but 2 euro semis and top 4 finish is a little more than a league one medal.
