This is what Sky Sports news is saying;
Veteran goalkeeper Maik Taylor is on trial with Leeds United as Simon Grayson ponders increasing his options.
The 40-year-old Northern Ireland international is available as a free agent having been released by Birmingham City at the end of last season.
Taylor has already made an immediate impact for the Whites after playing in a behind-closed-doors match against Chelsea at the club's Thorp Arch training ground.
The former Barnet, Southampton and Fulham shot-stopper saved a penalty as the hosts secured a 2-1 victory over the Blues.
Grayson has already brought in Alex McCarthy on a month's loan from Reading, with Andy Lonergan on the sidelines with a broken finger.
Come on Leeds, I know Paul messed up and I don't want to see him again, but is a 40 year old the right choice. Ok he is free and without a club and he cant be any worse than Paul, but Id rather play the young lad Cairns for experience!. Lets see what happens. NR

Taylor would be very reliable cover for Lonergan. Can't rely on such a young keeper at this stage.
Someone posted a while back we were interested in him. I completely agree with you, we dont want a 40yr old keeper, especially him, he isnt that good, afterall he was released by brum. I agree give cairns a chance.
I think this would be a very good move ,he's played in prem for his country vast expreance to pass on to carins .I bet spurs fans don't care about the age off there keeper .Gomez or Freidel no contest .I'm not saying Taylor is as good as Freidel but goalies get better whith age ,I know who I would rather have in goal Taylor or chewbacca no contest!
Id prefer cairns to get experience at anouther club loan him out see wot he's about it worked wonders for white,lee's,clayton. as for taylor its just not for me at 40 and not playin competitive football this season just doesnt bode well with me
