I don't get massive rave about Gimpel? No one has seen him play and he's 17 how do you know he's any good? Same with Kebbie.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Because manchester Utd offered us 1M for Kebbie and we turned it down before he decided to try at Barcelona. Plus he is faster than Beckford and that pace would be great.
Gimpel was being watched by Arsenal and Chelsea and they are still trying to get him to join them. I have no idea how Leeds managed to get him to sign over the other two who I'm sure will have offered far more money

Agree2 Disagree0

Good points, I suppose it comes from kebbie being signed by barca and gimpel being tracked by the likes of Chelsea before we signed him. They've both got to continue developing but sound like great prospects, let's hope our optimism is founded and they not only come good but we can hang on to them

Agree1 Disagree0

Don't get me wrong they might have potential but they aren't finished articles so we shouldn't base our improvement on them

Same old crap again no investment no vision and let's face it all our best players leaving at the end of the season because they want prem football ! Limping on together !

Believable4 Unbelievable3

I completely agree - same old crap except it's from you! How do you know there will be no investment, how do you know we won't get promoted? How about being a proper supporter and get behind the club rather than whine? I know we all get a bit frustrated sometimes about not going and spending much money on players but if we haven't got it we can't spend it, considering what happened not too long ago, surely you must recognise spending money we haven't got is a dangerous game.

We all have an opinion but constant whinging is getting tedious and won't solve anything other than winding yourself up and making most people on here yawn. So please, get behind the club and the players regardless and lets judge at the end of the season MOT

Agree6 Disagree1

I agree with both your comments in a way.I feel we are fortunate to be where we are.Bristol,Portsmouth at home lucky to win, burnley to,but wins a win.we need to just get a couple of quality loans in Jan like frimpong from arsenal ,Wilson or spearing and why not hulse.but we have to give bates the chance before we slag him again.to me it's quality loans and we make play offs.nothing and we need a lot more luck.lee shrew

Agree3 Disagree0

Grayson and Bates have said there is money to spend so let's see all the quality players we bring in to the club in Jan ,the only thing boring at Leeds is Graysons plan A s and Bates spending cash on a stadium that's half empty !!

As i have said many many times before on here, Larry hasn't a clue, Leeds will not progress under his management its as simple as that!!

Believable9 Unbelievable5

And you were wrong the first time!

Agree5 Disagree4

2 promotions, play-offs, 6 years in management. More points per pound spent than any other manager in the league (twice as good a ratio as the next best - mathematically proven fact). You're the one who doesn't have a clue mate. F**k off and go support scum.

Agree4 Disagree6

So progress from league 1 isn't enough, almost getting into the playoffs at first attempt wasn't enough, being well placed despite little investment isn't enough? Bet you're a right laugh to go for a pint with!

Agree3 Disagree3

Suppose the same was said about Southampton and Norwich...! just show's what a bit of ambition could do

Agree4 Disagree0

And still stuck in the championship and will be for years to come - did you watch the Burnley and Blackpool games, they played great there didnt they....not? leeds do not know how to play football and thats a fact

Agree4 Disagree1

Go back to bed mate its show a good team when u come out after half time an win 2-1 great team spirit i wud take 2-1 wins every game

I see SG has again been delivering the never ending mantra ' we looked at players but they were overpriced/ unavailable/ we didn't need them' etc etc. This gets very tiresome. SG and Leeds have done fine this season thus far, but we would have benefited massively from some carefully chosen reinforcements in the summer and again now. This league is not that strong and with some reasonable investment we could have ben flying. If SG thinks we can't improve the current squad then he isn't looking hard enough. And as for the ' too expensive/ unavailable' excuse, its funny how other clubs have brought in players.

I know its not that easy, and that we shouldn't buy or loan for the sake of it, but it appears again we are very restricted when it comes to getting players in. Hope this does not continue in Jan as we could make a real difference with just 1 or 2 well chosen signings.

Believable9 Unbelievable5

Other clubs didn't go into administration twice with debts of around 110M quid. Other clubs don't have Papa Smurf as chairman. Until Leeds pay for and stop all their construction work (solid infrastructure for the future), we'll always be on the hunt for a bargain in the transfer window. Quality players normally cost a million plus. When was the last time we spent a million on a player? Think you'll find it's pushing on for half a decade. You need more patience as a Leeds fan.

This window all I'd like to see is happen is Kebbie come back in and play at RB or at least challenge Connolly (shouldn't be too hard), Gimpel to provide cover from the bench as CB (replacing AOB) and a good transfer fee for Clingan to replace Brown. We should be good to go after that and finish no lower than 3rd in my opinion. In the summer, I want us to go back for McCarthy and offer him Premiership football. MOT

Agree5 Disagree6

Agree that we have to be careful, not overspend and be responsible. But, at the same time just a little bit of investment could take us a long way. I don't propose a Leicester 'Sven scatter gun' approach to transfers. Lets be realistic, yes, we cant compete with rich owners subsidising clubs, but we have had a decent amount of TV money, good attendances ( up until recently), good commercial revenue, cup runs and the sale of Delph, Max, Kasper, Garbutt ( compensation) etc etc. We could invest in a few key areas. Or at least be honest and admit we are not looking to spend, rather than make it look like we were unlucky and just missed out on targets. The reality is we are not competing for quality targets. We could do all this and keep on looking for bargains, which we have done really well.

simon grayson must seriously believe the squad we have will more than do a job till the jan window, no activity apart from a back upkeeper. all other teams have brought people in to strengthen and just look at donny, they are bringing in prem exp players who can still do a job.

grayson should know that if there is no promotion this season then he will more than likely be out the door as its down to him to get us there.

yours truely ken bates

Believable5 Unbelievable1

You're saying we should be more like Doncaster Rovers? Really?

Agree3 Disagree1

No not at all but their doing something about their situation. our club our ground our FANS should be top of this pisspot league. someone needs sacking behind the scenes, shaun harvey for me as is it not him who deals with transfers and sells the club too them. the best purchase in the last 2 years has been sold on for less than 2 mill. we will be lucky to keep any of our players come summer if we finish as we did last year

Have been saying it for about 3 match weeks at least now...time to give Becchio some minutes. Surely SG wont go with Keogh and Ross again? Both look a little tired and remember they offered NO goal threat at Burnley. Luciano needs the minutes. Also, we should see is Ross and Luc can play together. I think Becchio will bag a goal if he plays from the start tomorrow. Also think Sam should retain his place on the wing. We need to be positive in this game.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Sod Keogh! He's like the wolf trying to blow down the 3rd little pig's house. He huffs and he puffs, but he ain't gonna score any goals! FGS give Forssell a start! He is a proven International with a strike rate that Keogh can only dream about.

Agree5 Disagree1

Becchio and keogh don't seem to have any goals in them. and playing sam on left when he is right footed only slows our attacks down and he never gets to the by line. very poor tactically

Just seen on YEP site that SG has said that the loan til Jan is with 'a view to something longer'.....looks like he really is not in his plans. Looks like there has been some fall out or other, otherwise can't understand why he wasn't given a proper crack of the whip?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

This is re Alex Bruce by the way.
