I for one have been pleased with our latest recruits but cannot understand for one minute why it is such a struggle to get in one or two quality wingers.For over two years we have been through every transfer window expecting wingers and then no one signs or comes on loan.I know that every time one gets loaned out like Albrighton today or somebody signs for someone else, the fans say that we were probably not in for him anyway, I would have to say why not. It does not matter what formation we play good wingers would improve the team and therefore our results. Wingers create things we have at present in my opinion, no one who when they get the ball gets the crowd excited and gets them on the edge of their seats.
An example of how wingers can affect a game was the Birmingham match, and although they were poor, the only dangerous moments they gave us, all came through Chris Burke, who just played a proper wingers role, how much improved would we be with two supplying crosses to Blackstock and Smith, this would allow Byram and Warnock to play a fulll backs role who can still attack and support the wingers when necessary. I just think our season will remain average until two are found and if they are I really think our squad would be good enough to chalenge for the play offs, without these additions we are not and that is not being negative it is simply the truth.

Graham Dorrans must be worth an inquiry if it's true WBA are considering loaning him out. Could do with a goal scoring midfielder seen as our strikers are hardly bursting the net at the moment.
We have scored 6 in the last 2 games?. strange comment. How many should we have scored? 16?
Strange post, like poster 2 has already pointed out. 6 goals in last 2 games (5 of which were by our strikers) hmmmmm
Smith 3 in 2, blackstock 1 with first touch (1 in 1) and r mac 1 in 2 with his provider qualities.
We don't need anymore central midfielders got enough already that are more than capable

real shame mark albrighton from villa gone to wigan on loan.
he was type of player we are really missing.goes forward everytime he has the ball.
i like blackstock and with that much missed winger pace things would be looking up.

First and foremost Brian was told he could get 2 players on loan and he's done that ( I no one come on till end off season) But I'd imagin he's spent up Blackstock alone rumoured to be on 15k. And second where would you play a winger in a 3 5 2 formation. If we played a winger in a wing back role, with our centre backs we would get mullerd
We need wingers in the squad our squad is too lopsided and needs balancing.we need to be able to change formation for different games and adapt during them.
If where wanting a winger then we need to sign craig noone from cardiff on loan at least he's fit and ready unlike albrighton

Brian McDermott revealed on Sky TV last night that Leeds Utd do not have a head scout or any kind of scouting network. Not sure whether that's a legacy from the Bates era or just mis-guided cost cutting. Either way, it's unbeleivable that a so called 'big club' is in this situation in this day and age. Laughable!
Worry not BMD is a scout, was for years. he ain't no manager tho!
I think people should back off BMD. He came across very well on Sky last night. Like the original poster said to say a "big" club like Leeds have no scouting network is a disgrace! How can we go forward when we're not even looking at players! People want us to go out and sign a load of players but as BMD said last night how do you get so many players to settle in a squad, just look at Sunderland. He should be given time, patience and some money to set up a good scouting network. Calm down people and have some patience and gat behind the team. MOT EnnisWhite

Think the team we have with the two new additions is good enough for play offs. They lack experience and have lapses of concentation but they are good enough. Give em time and as soon as we can shift more out in jan or close of season, we can then add qualty to the bench. Mcd needs to give this 13-15 players a chance and have a bit more stability. We know the players making up the numbers are not good enough so leave the team alone for now. Hate losing to anyone but give em to xmas.
Ausman; have to agree with you on this one but, I suspect there will be quite a few "supporters" calling for BMcD to be sacked at Christmas
I'll not be one of them, have to give BMcD until end of 2014/2015 season before Asking got the chop
