Heard from a very reliable source that we are trying to agree a fee with Bradford City for striker Nakhi Wells, Decent young prospect imo

No you haven't, you have made this up because like many football fans, you can only think of forwards and not players. Leeds are not looking for strikers, forwards, they have plenty of talent in that position, they are looking at defence and if you check all the news, you will see that.

Any news on mackay-Steven?

Actually I think you will find leeds are looking to strengthen the squad in many areas not just defence 1 key area other than defence is a winger or wingers! it wouldn't surprise me if leeds have made an approach/enquiry for nakhi s he will/is a good player with bags of potential, but I think a striker isn't high on priority list unlessdeal is good value!

No nahki wells is terrible.

Bradford will probably want a million or near enough for him after that cup run
Agree0

Clearly never seen wells play then if you think he's terrible
Agree1

Clearly I have seen him play and clearly he's terrible. league 2 he's at league 1 he b good in championship he would fail big time.
Agree0

He has a couple of OK games on tv and people just make up ridiculous rumours!
Agree0

You obviously haven't seen him play even against all the prem sides in the league cup he stood out and look how many goals he scored in the league to say he is not good enough does is a joke adam le fondre name ring a bell what divison did he join reading from think about it
Agree0

You defo ant seen him play bet your one of these fans that look at ratings on fifa to decide if a player is any good

It says on the west ham rumours page that we have bid 900k for Vaz te. does anyone know anything about this.
Believable33
Unbelievable91
Think I'll go on the Spurs site and say Leeds have put a bid in for Bale, then come back to Leeds site and post that it says on Spurs site "Leeds have put a bid in for Bale".
Oh! The games we play to get a reaction.

I've just been on the west ham site and there's nothing on Vaz te there I wish there was because he would be a very good player to have.

Yep I know about this, I know its nonsense.
vaz te is light weight and a fairweather player, we dnt need him.

Doesn't mean anything I would love to see him in a leeds shirt he would be quality for leeds but ain't going to happen.
Agree1

Would cost more than that and we could never afford his wages.

Go back onto West ham site and open your eyes yes it does say we have put a bid in for Vaz te. but I agree could be just a wind up with truth in it

It's finally official now with Matt Mills. About time. Source YP. I can see him joining and rather quickly now. He would strengthen us.
Believable84
Unbelievable18
Its certainly not a bad thing. I said the same as you when all this first surfaced. I think it will a really great thing for us. let's be honest people who think this is a really bad thing and "will stay away until its renamed" etc are just being daft and can't see the opportunity this is for all parties.
Agree1

Hes the slowest defender we would have so I dnt see how he would strengthen us he's a slug. lees and peltier r better so maybe he's going to replace pearce but tbh i'm not happy with this, far better out there.
Agree3
Disagree5
The only reason a defender would use his pace is if he was prone to cock-ups. McDermott rates him, he must be decent.
Agree1

Some ones been judging him by fifa but if he gets his reading form back under mac then there's no way peltiers better than him
Agree1

Stop moaning will you why are fans like you never happy get behind brian and the lads
Agree3
Disagree0
Some people are never happy, he's strong, commanding, a leader, and if nothing else adds competition to the defense, so he might not be the fastest, do we need pace in the center of defense? There's a reason he was worth 5 million. And ps hope this red bull thing is true. MOT.
Agree2

You say there was a reason Mills was worth £5m. That was in the past. Titus Bramble was sold for £6 million and he is now worth nothing. I do not understand your logic
Agree0

He will only leave Bolton if he agrees to not because he as to or Bolton want rid. read tv on what Freeman says about him. so its not a defo he will come to Leeds just an inquiry

Successful at Reading. Floppies at the Foxes and Trotters. He believes in his own publicity and does not try to prove it on the pitch.

Tentative enquires have apparently been made by at least two premiership clubs about Sam Byram, mainly at the moment to see what price we would want for him. All approaches have been rejected so far with no discussions but I expect this to run and run through this transfer window.

10mill price tag on him, if red bull deal comes through they can up it to 20mill

Red Bull story hits YP. Getting mainstream means deal getting closer. I want this to happen. I love Red Bull. But not as much as I love Leeds.
Maybe a new drink in the offing? White Bull. In honour of Leeds United and us the greatest fans on earth.

If Red Bull's involvement means we get a substantial amount of money to spend, which could get us out of this dreadful league I'm all for it, would like if possible to keep the home shirt as white as possible and if the stadiums name is changed hopefully to something like Elland Road Red Bulls instead of Leeds Red Bulls

Ya. Tommy Steele. Little White Bull. Sounds Good even now. Better white than Red. !

I can't honestly believe you would all rather sell the soul of the club for a bit of money! Not me I would rather keep the identity & history of our club in place than become another circus like Man City, for all the success they might have had I still feel it isn't worth it. just my opinion of course!
Agree0

I hope this pays off :)
Anyway, all they'd get is a shirt sponsorship and/or stadium rename which I'm happy with. Look at Newcastle Utd. their stadium is supposedly called Sports Direct Arena but who actually calls it that. not many. most people still call it St James' Park so tbh I wouldn't be too concerned about that. The home shirt wouldn't be changed from white to red nor would Leeds Utd be renamed. Compared to the other teams they've sponsored we're massive in terms of support/history etc and tbh just because they have Red in their name doesn't mean that everything they do is in red. Look at their F1 team. the red bull cars are blue not red and if you look at the NYRB home shirt it is white so I'm not too concerned.
Having a sponsorship deal with Red Bull would significantly improve our chances of getting back to the big time so I'm happy with it and so should u guys!!

RED bull. Are we serious? Do we really want to be associated with that colour?

They aren't taking over so they won't be rebranding the club in any way no need to panic! The most they will do is buy stadium naming rights and sponsor the kit. They won't change the team to Leeds Red Bulls or make us play in red I don't see why so many people are panicking
Agree3

Guys is all about money, I don't care what the stadium is called, to all leeds fans it will always be Elland road no matter what they put on a sign outside, Money will make a better team and get us out of this league, wake up and smell the coffee

Anyone with an issue with the word Red needs to get over their prejudice and move with the times. This can only be good for the club.
Agree0

Got no problems at all with Red Bull sponsering us and re naming the stadium if it benefits the club and enables it to regain premiership status and stay there, whatever they call it, it, l always be elland road to me, football nowadays is dictated by £, big transfer fees, big wages etc etc. we at the moment even under new owners cannot compete with certain teams in this league, smaller clubs but with rich/ambitious backers, so with and maybe redbull coming in things will hot up and we, l see the club progress finally as it should be doin, but sadly didn, t under bates, I would love to see this club be like it did in the late 90, s with a mixture of mainly local youth in the team, along with a few other class older players, beating the big boys and playing in europe mostly every year, they were great and exciting times, and as long as whoever is running the club doesn, t go over board with the finances as ridsdale and board did, we, l hopefully be ok.

Seriously a full deal like NYC can be the return to power for LUFC. I'll back it, even with the "Red Bull Elland Road". MUFC Has nothing to do with it. But Kit change to red. sacriligeous (Spelling err?)

Bring red bull on! Can only be a good thing money coming into the club. As for the fans who have an issue with the word red being associated with Leeds, get over yourselves, do you really think the Manchester give our team a second thought these days? That rivalry has well and truly gone, we haven't even been in the same division for over 10 years
Agree0

People keep going on about the word red search on google images for leeds utd red away kit and you will find we have played in it b4

Hav to admit these "angry" red folks is rubbish. The fact that they wouldn't change colour
Man U play in red, liverpool play in red therefore I can't see our white colour changing to red, whether the FA allow or not. Away strip I don't care. Now the white bulls really appeals to me. Esp as the MUFC are the red devils. LEEDSFAN1968

2 options
1)Keep the club as it is now stagnate in the championship for a few years and then go back down to league 1, after watching a shocking display at walsall today, it could well happen
2)Red bull come onboard show ambition, build a good team/squad, get back into the premier league.
We need to move with the times, because the current situation ain, t working.

You're predicting what will happen this season because of a pre season game? Pretty shallow
Agree0

The red vs white thing goes back further than Man U v Leeds. It's the colours of the roses of Lancaster and York, the white rose of Yorkshire.
It's a deep cultural thing with many Yorkshiremen. look across the Penines, though and you'll find precious little culture in Manc-land. Aside from that, Man U's fanbase is made up overwhelmingly of people from outside of Greater Manchester. they really don't care about the history or traditions. Times are changing but should we really perpetuate this increasingly one-sided rivalry? More Man U fans care about the rivalry with Liverpool than us. Whatever might be proposed, I'll be backing it. We didn't even play in white until Revie decided we should.
