leeds have enquired about barry bannan and have began talks with his representatives. also leeds are in pole position for the signing of noel hunt who will be able to join the club as a free agent on the 1st july.

Although he played for us on loan, I think he would be a cracking signing after playing on the perm last season, however its about as likely as me winning the euro millions pal.

Good player who, if I remember correctly, is good at being creative on the ball. hope we sign him in that case :)

Great left foot -remember one fabulous pinpoint delivery onto Becchio's head in the closing stages of a dim and distant 2-2 draw with Watford. But apart from that, have to say that he did seem a bit lightweight. Anyone out there who's seen much of Villa this season, and able to judge whether he's become any more robust these past couple of years? If so, then I'd be open-minded at this stage. Would need a real terrier alongside us. Chapel A

Bannan would be the best passer in the league, I'd love to have him in our squad!

I would like to feel Dawson is going to be a really good player, but realistically is probably not going to be up for the grind of 46+ games for a couple of years, so Bannan could be good for playing that position for the time being (Bannan is a good 4 years older). Chapel A

Hes better than Carroll? he's been than a £35 million pound England striker. A guy who has scored about 5 6 goals all season in league one

Heard that Simon Davies from Fulham and Paul Konchesky have been a few names mentioned. Another is that Mido is to sign for Leeds on a one month trial and see how he goes in pre season

Paul konchesky is a left back. We don't need another left back. Simon davies would be interesting but can't see bolton letting go.

Davies: 33. Played 7 games for Fulham in the last two seasons.
Mido: 31. Signed for Barnsley for a year. Played once and was released. Sound good enough for Leeds? Methinks not.
Konchesky: Decent player but Left Back is one of the last areas we need to strengthen.
McDermott has said positive things about the support he is getting from the board. Are these the players we would be going for if that were the case?
