Wataru Endo another Liverpool player we have enquired about. Elliot another but apparently the fee would be much more than we would be willing to pay.

Alfcupper

13 May 2025 14:08:41
£16m (E20m) is the alleged fee that Spuds want for Solomon.

Alfcupper

1.) 13 May 2025 15:04:56
He thinks that's reasonable fee Alf.

2.) 13 May 2025 16:17:44
Sign him up.

3.) 13 May 2025 17:14:57
Word is, that certain clauses outstanding in Archie's transfer may yet be used to bring that down.

4.) 13 May 2025 21:18:11
or potential 'swap' deal for Pascal maybe?

5.) 14 May 2025 09:51:23
Bring that on Alf. I’d say straight swap.

6.) 14 May 2025 11:48:02
Marseilles reported to be l3ading the race right now! ?.

13 May 2025 14:07:10
news from Turkey that LUFC are set to make a bid for young Besiktas striker Semih Kilicsoy in the 'coming days'

Alfcupper

13 May 2025 13:56:08
Davide Ancelotti is joining the Glasgow Rangers as their new manager. If he impresses it is thought he could be lined up for a move to LUFC.

Alfcupper

1.) 13 May 2025 16:18:36
Why not just come straight to Leeds?
I have thoughts but I'll keep them to myself.

2.) 13 May 2025 22:56:10
Ooh do share MoT.

3.) 14 May 2025 10:28:26
Unless Mr Farke wants to leave he should be given the opportunity and to rock the boat by bringing in an unproven manager would be a mistake. Big difference between assistant man in Spain and manager in premiership.

13 May 2025 13:44:23
LUFC interested in Jhon Lucumí. Colombian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Serie A club Bologna.

Bwa ha ha! Nothing against Coventry but love to see The Fat One fail.

Alfcupper

1.) 13 May 2025 23:38:22
Sunderland will get smashed by Sheffield utd, unfortunately.

2.) 14 May 2025 03:38:16
I wanted Sunderland to prevail through the playoffs, but as the game last night progressed, I changed my mind. Playing at home like they did; the constant snidey play from the likes of Hume started really get to me (not forgetting his antics against Solomon in our respective game. )

Coventry were unlucky in my opinion. (Not that I wanted them to prevail)

Now I’m torn for the final; I wish both could lose!

I think the Blunts are just about the only team that has a worse playoff record than us. I think this will be their 10th attempt via the playoffs. (Failing in the previous 9)

3.) 14 May 2025 06:39:08
Sunderland have already beat Sheffield Utd once this season. I doubt very much it will be a walk over by Sheff Utd more likely a penalty shootout.
So glad we are not in it this time.

4.) 14 May 2025 07:42:13
I still have no idea what any of you are talking about? What are these playoffs! As a fan of the champions I don’t follow them

However I will comment this, hahaha lamps.

5.) 14 May 2025 08:34:30
Wow! I didn't realise their record was that bad, Ani! When you consider how Sunderland started the season, and the backing they got from "someone" on here, it's a shame to see them deploying such tactics. I've said before I have a soft spot for them due to my grandad, but on balance, you've got to say the blunts deserve to come up.

6.) 14 May 2025 09:21:41
Have a hankering it’s going to be Sunderland but irrespective of who comes up the six points it represents for us next season will be most welcome.

7.) 14 May 2025 10:06:37
I've got to say I wanted Sunderland to come up, but after a few of there filthy cheating antics I'd rather see blunts!

8.) 14 May 2025 10:22:39
I live in Rotherham so Sheffield United is like a local team, so I wouldn't mind them getting promotion except for bloody Wilder who I detest so on the day I will be cheering for Sunderland. But you are right class 6 points will come in very ?? ??.

9.) 14 May 2025 13:27:10
I'm with you OP - 'so glad we're not in it this time'!

10.) 14 May 2025 16:30:24
Agree Ani, Coventry were the best side, especially over the two legs. Personally I wasn't bothered who won, and the same goes for the final.

10 May 2025 09:45:53
In case you weren't aware, the Premier League transfer window will open early between June 1 and June 10 due to an exceptional registration period for the expanded Club World Cup; it will then open again on June 16 until Deadline Day on September 1.

Alfcupper

1.) 10 May 2025 10:10:05
I was aware Alf. I’m hoping we get all our business done between said dates ?
One would be encouraging though ?.

2.) 10 May 2025 10:34:59
That would be another record broken if we do, Aus! ??.

06 May 2025 16:14:34
14 of the squad off to Vegas today or in the next few days apparently - any guesses to which 14 they will be?

Alfcupper

1.) 06 May 2025 17:15:21
For sure
Amps
Bogle
Tanaka
Willy
Firpo
Rama
Pascal
Scmidt

Others likely
DJ
Piroe
Rodon
Bamford
Darlow
Mes.

2.) 06 May 2025 17:19:52
I’m guessing 2/ 3 maximum to return on time Alf.

3.) 06 May 2025 18:43:27
We might not see Ampadu again! I wonder if he had a big hangover this morning? Top party animal yesterday!

4.) 06 May 2025 23:11:23
Indeed LUFCfeath . Ampadu well sloshed yesterday entertained the City of Leeds grandly.

04 May 2025 12:39:19
Paraag on player spending this window: Whatever they will let us spend, we’ll spend. I can comfortably say that we are going to spend the very last penny that we can.

Alfcupper

1.) 04 May 2025 16:21:52
Apparently (I haven’t heard it personally) , Paraag has ended speculation re Farke…”he is my man…”

BBC radio Leeds.

2.) 04 May 2025 16:47:26
No doubts in my mind, ridiculous suggestion in the first place and something for the anti Leeds WUM’s.

3.) 04 May 2025 17:16:18
Thanks ani good to know.

4.) 04 May 2025 17:18:19
Great news on both fronts!

5.) 04 May 2025 17:24:22
In the Athletic as well so it seems our alternatives weren't available for one reason or another. Could be worse and certainly no point changing for the sake of change.

6.) 04 May 2025 17:33:41
Spot on Cuppa self evidently.

7.) 04 May 2025 17:47:33
If that’s what paraag has came out and said, well that’s good. Daniel Farke has done a great job and deserves his chance in the premiership. And I’m sure the players will certainly want him as their manager in the premiership too. There’s been a great team spirit throughout the season, and the players clearly have a lot of respect for the man. While we will speculate on the players who we want to bring in for next season, when it was asked what positions posters wanted strengthened next season, most posters, including me picked a goalkeeper as top priority. I still think we definitely need a proven goalkeeper, but given Darlow’s performances, under huge pressure, for the last half a dozen games, does he also deserve a chance in the premiership? I know it’s a huge step up in opposition, but Rodon and ampadu will likely be happy to have him in goal. They’re a tight bunch the Welsh lads.

8.) 04 May 2025 18:47:14
We have been excellent in signing quality players that have been well under budget. We have balanced the books and have a great recruitment team. With Kinnear gone, I feel we will unlock the next level of signings.

We don't need to play the game of "flavour of the year player sold for £50 million to the highest bidder", that doesn't work. Look at chelsea and Man u.

We have Red Bull to lean on, who will assist with names in Europe. I believe we can build a £500 million squad for £150 million. (Look at Tanaka! )

9.) 04 May 2025 22:36:29
That's our aim certainly with the data based recruitment model. As with Rothwell some names may be underwhelming at first but they should fit our system and tam perfectly and will surprise a few people when they get to play.

10.) 05 May 2025 08:26:12
Totally agree Alf on that. Trust the people, and the system!
And C&J, I'm sad to say no on Darlow. Likeable fella, but #3 at best for a PL squad. Salary would be the decisive factor for me there.

11.) 05 May 2025 08:30:19
When can you let the cat out of the bag Alf? Think you said Wednesday?

It’s ok you can tell us all now, nobody is going to believe its real, when it came from our banter site.

Please be Manor!

12.) 05 May 2025 09:37:25
I’d like to know what alternatives were not available? If they were even considered at all!

13.) 05 May 2025 10:08:39
Class . zalf said a young un defensive midfielder

2 new gk (With Darlow as 3rd choice) CD, 2 LB, CAM, 2 CFs all vitally needed.

04 May 2025 07:02:57
Leeds last six matches of the 2024/ 25 season:

Matches: 6
Games Won: 6
Goals: 16
Conceded: 2
Clean Sheets: 4
Points Won: 18/ 18
Win Rate: 100%

Incredible finish!

@lufcdata.

Alfcupper

1.) 04 May 2025 07:58:01
Falling apart again!

2.) 04 May 2025 08:13:19
Thank Darlow for that. ??.

3.) 04 May 2025 08:25:39
Incredible run in Alf, but we’ve got to stop singing that bloody song…. are falling apart again……otherwise we may hear it a little too often in the epl.

Alf you said Wednesday for the mystery signing we’ve made?

Not a goalkeeper, is it ( (desperately hoping) a loan player being converted to a permanent signing?

4.) 04 May 2025 09:32:07
What Class said . I loathe that song and it will be used against us by other EPL fans this season

And what Brighteth said Karl Darlow plus the Mes benched divine intervention by Marathe.

5.) 04 May 2025 10:47:23
I do agree I loath the song but if it going mg to be used by opponents it’s good that we also use it irionicky to deweaponise it, if that makes sense.

6.) 04 May 2025 11:00:20
A fantastic season finish after the wobble.

7.) 04 May 2025 11:19:11
100% hate, loathe and detest that self deprecating song, it only welcomes negativity to our club, get rid of it immediately.
Probably every Leeds fan is very eager to get rid of Meslier, I would say don’t underestimate still his potential and i would say there is still a 50/ 50 chance he will be our number one keeper in the premiership.

8.) 04 May 2025 11:20:15
You’re correct Berm, Farke said something very similar in his press conference yesterday, that he hoped by securing promotion and winning the title clearly demonstrated THAT song has no relevance whatsoever to this current side.

Thought he spoke brilliantly throughout yesterday and reiterated the importance of creating and maintaining this team have been together for only one season, and yet have met, exceeded every objective.

It is against differing circumstances, but for myself, yesterday moved Farke to the top table of all time Leeds United managers, his efforts this season under more pressure than any other coach in the division, are simply incredible.

9.) 04 May 2025 12:01:37
I like the song, it shows that Leeds fans have the thickest skins of all. Not only will we take the mick out of other teams, we will do it by using their own chants!
How many teams or areas of the country have that kind of mentality?

I had a Boro fan, in Boro, say to me "elland road is falling down, daniel farke is a f***ing clown". He was lost when I replied "aya, 100 year old ER could do with a refurb and Farke does make some funny decisions".

10.) 04 May 2025 12:40:33
Mez inspired finish. Hats or gloves off to that man. Simple.
Manager and the rest of the squad. Take a bow.

11.) 04 May 2025 12:42:58
Yep. Hate it. Don’t see the point. Not funny whether winning or losing. Stupid.

12.) 04 May 2025 12:14:04
In Bielsa's season we had a disappointing draw v Luton [at home], 7 games from the end and everyone thinking we were about to implode again, but we went on to win the next 6; we did the same again this time.

13.) 04 May 2025 13:09:53
Because no mez ani. Simple. Manager realised the team had no faith in him. That was the up or not decision which thankfully eventually he had the balls to make.

14.) 04 May 2025 13:38:12
And Struick's injury meant Ampadu into the back four, which has also contributed to us looking a lot stronger defensively.

15.) 04 May 2025 14:47:20
Nothing to do with Meslier, Farke had the noise of the fans and media to deal with and had to protect Meslier by dropping him.
Darlow had very little to do in the games he played, probably made only two saves of anything anywhere near worthy of mentioning and two flaps that he was lucky not to have been punished with.
That was it!

The song is supposed to be a sort of self deprecating and I guess fans do see it as a bit of a laugh, but I personally don’t see the funny side of losing or failure especially when it involves my football team.

16.) 04 May 2025 16:17:24
Could also be because there was no Rothwell or no James…that’s as relevant.

Not forgetting Mes was the keeper for Bielsa’s run in…or was that because no Casilla?

17.) 04 May 2025 17:25:47
OP. Just to clarify, you think Daniel Farke took meslier out of the team to protect him? Not the fact he was making numerous errors which was costing the team valuable points, and if he continued to play him, would have more than likely seen us in the playoffs again. You say darlow had very little to do with, apart from a couple of saves. well the thing is, darlow’s handling of routine crosses and apart from a couple of balls he came out for that he maybe should have stayed put, just settled the defence and also settled the supporters down. The thing with meslier is his concentration level. He switches off regularly, hence the inexplicable errors. He’s actually got worse as he’s got older, which is really unusual for a goalkeeper. He was far more solid when he was 19-20 years old.

18.) 04 May 2025 17:28:04
Not a keeper and not a loan. Young international player so more potential than proven. Will let you know more when I get the green light to do so!

19.) 04 May 2025 18:03:39
I won’t deny he’s made a few errors, but I still don’t think It was that bad. All keepers will make some errors from time to time.
He is technically a far better gk than Darlow but the tension created towards Meslier left Farke with no option but to drop him. I honestly believe if the enormous fuss had not been stirred up around Meslier, Farke would’ve kept him in place as he already stated you don’t drop a GK like you do a outfield player.

20.) 05 May 2025 12:55:03
Perfect analysis C and J.
.
Very well said.

oh they definitely won't all be signed - teams always make far more enquiries than the players they end up with. there are a multitude of reasons why a team doesn't end up signing everyone they are interested in.
