Great looking back on the old greats and some not so but I am keen to start circulating some names as possible transfer targets in the summer.

My initial shopping list (cash/funds permitting) Luongo, Adam Milner, Lennon,
N'ije (loan), Loftus-Cheek (loan), Abraham, Lindsay Burn, Angus MacDonald, Assombalonga, Marley Watkins, Ryan Kent, Sebastien Haller, Martin Braithwaite, Ludwig Augustinsson, Steven Caulker, Ryan Woods and Jota.

A few players there to choose from.

Interesting comments my fellow white Nigel Martyn - A great keeper and better than Seaman in my opinion.

Ian Harte - Agree entirely was the weak link in a otherwise brilliant team, but boy did he score some great goals

Berardi - A decent hand at championship level but that is it, not as good as Ayling and not in the same league as Danny Mills or Gary Kelly Duberry, strange signing and not in the league of Ferdinand or Woodgate or Radebe.

Jansson - great character and a top player at championship level - not as good as the three above mentioned

Doukara - at the minute I would pick him but to be polite he's no Tony Yeboah.

Kewell - on his day one of the best in the world, I saw him line up against Totti. Totti was made to look like a Sunday league player

Hopkin - no David Batty but worlds ahead of Bridcutt O'Kane and Phillips

Kilkenny - forgettable Smith - played in a world class team, great work ethic but not as good as Keane or Fowler.

Beckford - spot on a good player for the lower leagues not on my all time list

O'Leary - was in the right place at the right time - we played some great football though during his reign - his record subsequent shows him as a flash in the pan.

On to Huckerby - a player who was never given a chance.

Three wins and we make the playoffs - two wins and a draw and we will probably make the playoffs - Two wins and a loss and our chances are slim As Leeds supporters we have an expectation of top flight football - we are a huge club playing 2nd tier In December we were the form team and looking a certainty for the playoffs and many (me included) believed that 4 top signings would propel us to a real challenge for an automatic spot .

Our expectations were heightened by the incoming Mr R his introduction and timing was significant as it coincided with the January window for transfer - clearly had we signed the right players then we would be in a much better position - Liam Lindsay, Loftus-Cheek on loan, Max Gradel and Izzy Brown on loan - our central midfield has been woeful all season and without young Vieria we are lost - many of the games we have won have been the result of a superb back line and Chris Wood

Yeah - we had a great opportunity to strengthen in January and nothing happened- Izzy Brown went to a Huddersfield and Hourihane to Villa.

The lack of quality in the central midfield has been glaringly obvious from the start of the season and frankly without Vieria we are very ordinary and predictable Look at the likes of Brentford they have Jota he's scored 9 goals from midfield and only played around 18 games.

their midfield 3 is way superior to ours - we are too reliant on Wood and our back line
