I believe that all of the demonstrating is not only going to upset MC but the whole squad. We do not have a clue what plans MC or anyone else for that matter has for the club, some people take it upon themselves to talk for everyone, fortunately, the majority will do what is best and support through good and bad.

I think that we have a fairly decent squad if they gel as SE hopes and with possibly a loan player or two could surprise some. I may be wrong, ups and downs and all that.

I think some people see all the negatives in Wood, he is doing the job the gaffer asks of him, difficult when you are on your own and the service is often poor. Give him some slack.

The main reason you buy a striker is to score goals? the next reason would be to link play. Hold up play, bring team mates into the game? If tall, win headers?
So far Wood does not fulfill the job spec. if he is not scoring the only way he can justify selection is with an outstanding amount of assists and as that does not seem to be the case I return to my main reason and say that 3mil is an awful big outlay for a non striking striker. To all those who defend by saying "he gets in the positions" the law of averages says a headless chicken would also manage that feat. The bottom line is that he is supposed to score goals.
I can have a rant but have no control over team selection so I hope that Evans sees something I cannot and we are really looking at a 20 plus goal machine going through"a barren spell". What do you think?
{Ed003's Note - I listened to the game today on the radio from the bright side of the Pennines( ;-) ) the posters who have been around a long time know I'm certainly not a PNE fan anyway the feeling from the commentators was Leeds players didn't have a clue what to do when they went 4-4-2 (???) they also said Dallas was the best player on the park and was less than complimentary about the touchline antics of Evans and Raynor.}

Hard for wood at times, he has missed a few good chances but if we had runners from midfield getting into box would give him a bit more space. Hard to register an assist if no one there. Still don't think he's worth the money we paid mind.

Its also a shame that Erwin hasn't been given a fair crack of the whip either.
A bit like nicky ajose who is having a fair crack of the whip now at swindon town and has scored 10 goals so far . so that's another good player given away!

Cracking game at the weekend apart from a little dip just after half time. A few more goals like that should frighten the life out of most defenders. Good to see another signing. The future is bright, the future is White.

I think 20 mil is a great return for NZ boy. Let him go with mega thanks for his contribution and best of luck, he deserves it. Then get some replacements quickly instead of the usual last minute dot com. BB

Mine just arrived, I checked earlier in the week with the ticket office and they explained that they were being dispatched in different groups, wife got hers last week, I am classes as an old git and received mine this morning.

Totally agree with Ausman, we need to stop dissing young players who have ambitions. We are all wanting the Premiership but that takes moneya and sometimes you need to sell to release the funds.
