Anybody know why there is press speculation that the players aren't going to be paid today with the PFA on red alert? Is there any truth or is it just the press trying to sell papers?
1.) I would imagine it is to do with the clubs bank account being frozen due to the winding up order due to be heard june 9th, probably speculating because of that. Perhaps MC has something in place to sort it through some other way, doubt he would want not to pay them.
2.) Also has meeting has been called and reporters have assumed it is due to none payment. I can't see mc calling people back from hoiliday to say he ain't paying them, I think it will be about brian going and to introduce them to the new manager benito carboni who has been very vocal recently. if this is the case will be dissapointed brain has to go but many managers much better than benito still must be given a chance I guess mot

My founded is dumb CJS. BA has lost the ball more often than a blind pooch. Fink someone has stuck a hoover up our teams derriere an sucked all the ability our of em. How on earth is BA doing anything but driving the team bus and I wouldn't even want him doing that, honestly it's dire!

We've looked pretty good against good teams too, except Arsenal, no? And we didn't do that well vs Burnley?

We play better against teams who want to play football than against those that play a low block (ie park the bus) . We looked better or worse against Spam depending on how they tried to play. Bowen was a class above all the others but thankfully we managed to keep him quiet.
Expect a tough time next week because Dyche teams always play a low block accompanied by route 1 breaks and heavy on set pieces.

Good post JR. agree re bowen! I'd snap him up if they go down! Fernandes, Potts and Paqueta also top players.

He would definitely not go to a London club if he became available. Likely Citeh or Real Madrid if they wanted him.
Definitely a hugely underrated player in my opinion, a waste of undeniable talent at West Ham.

I wonder whether the inability to sign/ attract the players we want/ need is down to the belief that as a newly promoted side the chances are we"ll go straight back down. If we manage to put in a fighting performance and stay in the prem, then we might be a better prospect for better players. But then I frequently don't know what I'm talking about!

Think if this is true then we will see Ross go to pay for them, seems like this is the way MC operates.

Think its more likely that Carbone is here for the first team coach's position, soon to be made vacant. For all those who say we'll never get someone to fill a coaches role because who would want to be less than a manager, I say we'll find someone who is used to operating that way and there are plenty of them just not the big names Leeds fans think we deserve.
What make anyone think BMD will be involved in any aspect of player recruitment?
