My feelings on the Ramazani and other exits.

Ramazani is definitely a player with talent but we know something went on last season that stunted his involvement in the team. I personally think there may be an attitude problem with him which could have been a distraction in the dressing room and caused unbalance across the team. Did you notice how he was always posing for selfies etc during the promotion celebrations rather than simply enjoying the moment with his team mates. We all like a player with a bit character/ zest (i. e. Alioski being bonkers) but not when it becomes a distraction or impacts the teams togetherness. I'm only speculating but there must be a reason why Farke didn't trust him. We don't know what goes on at the training ground or behind closed doors.

It will be interesting to now see what impact his and the other departures have on the team and general player attitudes. There must have been a lot of uncertainty and bad feeling over the summer period having players around that weren't involved or going to be part of the squad (i. e. Bamford) . As regular member of the squad you'd be questioning yourself and your own future. Now they've gone Farke needs to rebuild the team spirit and get the new players fully integrated as soon as possible.

I'd like to see Ramazani come back to Leeds at some stage and do a Klich / Dan James and become a valued player. But for now, we have to trust the judgement of our manager/ coaches/ directors. They got us to the Premier Leagues, so let's give them a fair opportunity to keep us there.

I agree with your points about Ramazani but I don’t believe that the team spirit was affected last season and needs rebuilding. I don’t think we would of won the title and promotion if there were fractions within the squad. But I do believe all the new recruits will need to bed in, not solely on the pitch but with team spirit and bonding also.

2.) 29 Aug 2025 13:41:25
I’m dreading the realisation that the current owners and management have got it woefully wrong. Both lacking positive if any prem experience. Their faffing around with transfers this and next week fueling the fire. Desperation 101. Not to be confused with 101 dalmations. Largie will be back for sure. But I think they got it wrong.
Alf and anybody else in the campsite that is Leeds.
Any feel of panic or desperation or nervousness?
Is it all rosey in the garden?

3.) 29 Aug 2025 14:47:50
It ain’t rosey Aus because we are probably going to be in a relegation battle for most of the season. The only question is, is can we beat the drop and build on our premiership future.

I have been reading all the pre-season predictions and where the various pundits think each team will end up. Some think we'll finish just above the drop zone, with others predicting that we'll be sent straight back to the championship.

I think my final opinion will still be influenced by who else we do or don't sign, but with a quality striker and winger, I think we could gain another couple of positions, but right now, I'm going with 16th!

I don't see us finishing below Burnley or Sunderland, and think the likes of Wolves, Brentford, Bournmeouth, Fulham, Everton and West Ham will all have tough seasons. Looking at last season and Man Utd/ Spurs, you also can't rule out another more established team or two struggling. The premier league does feel more competitive these days in that it's so much harder to predict results than it used to be.

We know that a Daniel Farke team will always turn up to play good attacking football, and we've definitely strengthened both our midfield and defence this summer. I think we'll give most teams a good game, but it just depends on whether we have enough quality to pick-up points.

So what's your prediction, where will we finish?

1.) 15 Aug 2025 10:15:59
Top 10. No doubt in my mind.

I foresee big upsets from a few mis table clubs and the possible collapse of one or two teams.

Man city might miss out on a top four finish, with Liverpool winning comfortably again, pushed by forest and Newcastle.

2.) 15 Aug 2025 10:18:01
I will sit on the fence Danny until the transfer window closes!

3.) 15 Aug 2025 10:48:08
We'll likely finish in the bottom hslf, but as well as the 3 promoted teams there are a few esablished PL teams that might struggle. I see the top 4 as Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City (as long as they escape any major sanctions for their past misdemeanors) . Newcastle have had a dire transfer window so far, and barring a big improvement will not make the top 4. Likewise Forest nay find the pressures of a European campaign too much and fall away. Spurs could have a resurgeance under Frank, and Crystal Palace are my chosen surprise package. Finally I hope for another dire season for ****chester United.

4.) 15 Aug 2025 11:33:28
Good post Danny.

I'm going for circa 13/ 14/ 15th place and comfortable all season long.

5.) 15 Aug 2025 11:48:59
As it stands, I don't believe we will be relegated, barring a horrendous run of injuries. I may be more adventurous after the window closes.

6.) 15 Aug 2025 12:33:48
That would do nicely Cleggy.

7.) 15 Aug 2025 12:55:33
Can't see Burnley in trouble. They have had a great window, strength in depth and have a competent manager. They will surprise a few people this year imo.

8.) 15 Aug 2025 12:58:03
What are you on mot. Forest. Had a chuckle.
Top 10. Wow.

9.) 15 Aug 2025 15:31:42
I wouldn’t say scott Parker is a competent coach in the Premiership Alf. Not saying Farke’s record is any better so why choose Burnley over us?

14 Aug 2025 11:47:03
Do we think DCL will be our new No 9 or a back-up? I'm hoping it's the later, although he's a quality play on his day. With his fitness record though, I hope we use him as a backup/ impact player as and when he is available, but bring in another main striker.

Dannyisback1

1.) 14 Aug 2025 11:57:39
1st choice I think he’s classed as our marquee signing.

2.) 14 Aug 2025 12:36:23
Definitely a back up option IMO Danny. I know its frustrating but I am sure there is something coming that will placate the doubters.

3.) 14 Aug 2025 13:22:56
Think only window closing will provide confirmation Danny, there’s Paxo money available so I’m leaning towards one or two more yet.

4.) 14 Aug 2025 13:32:37
I think Farke is pretty good with injury prone players. Solo. Firpo. Byram. He will be used sparingly imo.

5.) 14 Aug 2025 14:07:49
I hope vid is right
I’d love
Jo from Leicester
A good AM / winger
A good striker
Pick up a few loans back end of window
Although the pace Leeds do medicals we should do that now.

6.) 14 Aug 2025 14:13:10
Agree Aus. The medical team at Leeds seem to be above and beyond that of other teams.

With less than a month to go, I'm so excited about the new season. It's not just Leeds being back in the Premier League, there's real optimism this time!

If we manage to sign Perri, Paixao and Muniz, or any equivalent players for that matter, what a transfer window it will have been. It also shows you how good the 49erns are! We're going back into Premier League and we're not just there to make up the numbers. I truly believe that we are building a team that will be capable of competing for a top 8 spot in a year or two.

I also wanted to thank the various posters for all the regular transfer and rumour updates. This is the most engaged I've ever felt with a transfer window. So cheers to Alf, LAD, Borat etc.

1.) 24 Jul 2025 13:25:06
You're welcome Danny. This window will probably be more fun than the upcoming season tbh!

2.) 24 Jul 2025 15:19:04
Best window in long long time without doubt, and could be even better when we finish and that’s not sounding disrespectful, or anything but they ve being 49 ers, have backed us to the hilt and just to maybe make us a team that nobody fancies playing or facing getting a little bit excited now.

Morning All,

I still don't get why we keep comparing ourselves to Sunderland. It's all I see from Leeds fans if I scroll through social media.

Remember, we're only on 10th July. We've already signed decent 4 players (2 x starters and 2 x squad players. Sunderland have also purchased 4 plays but spent a ridiculous amount of money in doing so. But when you compare the Leeds vs Sunderland squads, you can't tell me that we're not the stronger team by some margin.

As others have said, we're doing some tidy business and will have money left to make some bigger acquisitions when the time is right.

Compared to our previous ownerships, the 49ers are a breath of fresh air and know what they are doing. This isn't Bates, GFH, Celinio or Radz people, this is Leeds back in the big time with a forward plan!

1.) 10 Jul 2025 10:05:22
Bob on Danny! Right on the money!

2.) 10 Jul 2025 10:07:21
Completely agree Danny ? Think there are a good few more really good signings to come.

3.) 10 Jul 2025 10:18:18
I not comparing anyone with anyone Danny, but a useful caveat to attach to your comment and 1 you overlooked

Our squad are in Prem, Mackems not
So with that little nugget of info, it really should be all that's needed to instill in our recruitment team that we need our squad sorted adap to get them playing as a team

Pre Seez is here, and we have an awful lot of business to do

I not arsed 1 but what Mackems do, but they are doing it in a different league, so any comparison us and them is just silly

Leeds need to get cracking on proper 1st team players.

4.) 10 Jul 2025 10:34:08
ChrisChris; by Mackems you mean Sunderland right. You do realise they got promoted too!

5.) 10 Jul 2025 12:17:05
That's was supposedly my attempt at" comparison" humour Danny ? I agree it backfired

My brain didn't compute to words the humour correctly

But basically my point is / was, I not arsed on what they're doing.

6.) 10 Jul 2025 12:33:30
Fair play ChrisChris.

It does depend on who else we sign, but I think Leeds will end up finishing mid-table. As for Sunderland, I see them struggling to adapt to the premiership and going down. If only they hadn't wasted so much money haha!

7.) 10 Jul 2025 13:13:54
Like rest of us Danny, all I hear now is Oasis comeback and Sunderland, sick to death of it already ?, what wil be will be for us at Leeds

But i do feel like we need to sort a lot of things out as soon as, and get players familiar with each other.

8.) 10 Jul 2025 14:08:17
Quite right to Chris Chris you want you re team in all on the same page then knowing what to do also as you ve said training started back and we got some nice friendlies coming up aswell so be nice to see if there any shape to us but it ain’t happening like my thinking forward is we ve mentioned stach now for ages yet still have nt approached him with a deal or offer come on Leeds let’s get them in.

Is there actually any truth to this or just people's opinions?

Had we got something from the Arsenal game or simply not been totally demolished, I doubt we'd care so much about last nights results. But, after the trashing by the Gunners and then last night's complete and utter disaster, we're all left feeling pretty bleak!

The atmosphere, belief and team spirit felt so good after the Everton win, it makes you wonder if something has gone on behind the scenes. Either way, I agree that Farke will be on borrowed time (whether right or wrong) if things don't improve. As for potential replacements, who knows, but we should be careful of what we wish for, surely you guys haven't forgotten the American Mosiah lol.

If true, what is going on. Selling any bit of talent we have left. Might as well cash in on Joseph, James and Rodon whilst at it.

Chris, have one for each of the signings Leeds have made this summer. So that's 10 and hopefully a couple more today!

Well said Oldbri. Football is about football and someone's personal characteristics should never be part of the conversation. We're living in 2025, not 1955 people.
