Apparently we're interested in Ben Doak from Liverpool for £20m. Bought from Celtic's academy. My mate who's a Celtic fan says he's tiny but quick. Name sounds made up to me, sounds like the next big project for them fellas that cut down the Sycamore Gap.

Well I'm calling it. If we can't score from open play today we're down, because it will we're not capable of scoring enough. I think Wolves is the low watermark. Don't sack Farke though, not his fault we didn't sign who we needed to sign. I've heard talk of Nuno but don't forget, his board backed him at Forest (once upon a time) . Anyway I'm actually quite confident we will score, and win. It's going to be long hard season and I reckon 15th might be the best we can hope for but we'd take that wouldn't we?

Doesn’t matter what level of football you’re in, unless you’re in the top 3 or 4 sides in your respective league, you consider certain games 6 pointers, and this is one of ours today against wolves. Last week against Fulham away, I’m sure we would all have taken a point there, because not only will Fulham take points from our nearest teams that’s going to be in and around us at the end of the season, it would have been 3 clean sheets out of our first 4 games back in the premiership, and we would have bitten anyone’s hand off had we been offered that before the season started.

OP I was lucky enough to be supporting Leeds United in the Don Revie era, but where we are now, once the season starts you have to pick games out that you have to look at getting maximum points from. I said previously a point away at Fulham would have been good, but Daniel is going with the same team, and surely to same formation against bottom wolves. Sometimes the best form of defence is attack. Personally I would like to see ampadu firing one into the top corner Billy Bremner style and showing the inspiration as a captain should, but I’m sure he will be instructed to be deeper than Struijk and Rodon.

Given that an email signature is capable of creating a binding contract (trust me I'm a lawyer) does a player actually have to be in Leeds to sign? It always seems to be the case that players are at the club (any club) signing in wet ink but is that just for the PR photos?

Having seen what I've seen of DCL (and I was as underwhelmed as anyone when we signed him) I think if he can play enough (big if I know) , we have 9 covered and if we could get a proper 10 we could create enough to be ok. Not sure Hamer is the answer. Buendia maybe.

If we get a point on Saturday all will be forgiven and we'll believe we're staying up, and although they'll boss the game I imagine, with no Isak, Gordon or Joelinton they might struggle to score. Everyone keeps talking about Farke not changing tactics depending on the opposition as though that's a problem but no successful manager does that. They just get the best players. Think about Pep (at Barcelona and City) , Ferguson (pains me to say it) , Wenger, Paisley, the Don! To me, chopping and changing all the time smacks of panic and it always fails. The style of play is dictated by the squad. The squad we have might be good enough, it might not, and if not then Farke has to take the fall, but pissing about isn't the answer.

I don't think Farke will be the first sacking. Love or loathe out board they are not reactionary. There will be a club or twoexpected to do ok that underperform early on and one of those managers will be the scapegoat. Who's got the Brentford job? Tempted to put a quid on him.

Yes you are the only one! ? seriously though it depends whether they see him as the answer to our number 9 problem, which he can't be with his fitness or a useful option which he could be. Personally I think even when he's fit he's overrated. Had more bad seasons than good. But I'll sing his name on Monday and be delighted to be proved wrong.
