Gruev to Dortmund? £30m rumoured? Prem teams sniffing around? Bite their hands off, we'll have gray and amps back in midfield next season. Gruev did superb after Xmas on the run, thanks for the memories.
Just hope it doesn't mean we're getting Kalvin back.
1.) 04 Jun 2024 20:49:02
Where you hear £30m, mate? Haven't read a number in any of the articles I've read. And if £30m I'd drive him to LBA myself ?.
2.) 04 Jun 2024 21:16:31
The oracle that is Facebook Dil, must be true.
3.) 05 Jun 2024 07:13:42
Club are asking for 15-20m to consider selling him. Even at 20m, I would expect there to be add ons; still young, still a lot of potential there to go on to bugger and better things, based on his break through form, not when he was told to slow things down.
4.) 05 Jun 2024 11:21:37
Bugger!?!? Pmsl! ???.
5.) 06 Jun 2024 00:54:25
Not sure about letting him go. Was very good for a while. Has got heaps of potential and as you say bright still young. Would have to be 20 plus. Could get decent enough replacement for 20.
6.) 09 Jun 2024 11:41:34
Gruev is solid in midfield, plays smart, fast football, is accurate with passes, even those at angles Jimmy White would wince at, and is often a solid wall stopping their attackers.
Kamara on the other hand.
23 Jan 2024 12:44:32
A question that popped up in my local LU committee meeting on Saturday night in my local fiine ale house. Have we recieved all the money from Barcelona for Rapha? Have they managed to pull their 574th financial lever yet?
1.) 23 Jan 2024 13:34:11
Doubt it Koch.
That’s why we are in such dire ffp territory and have no money to buy and are looking for loans. At the right price of course.
11 Jul 2023 22:31:42
Rumours are saying we won't be signing Mr Edwards this year, missed out on what could've been a bargain £35k for a young hungry 17 year old.
1.) 11 Jul 2023 22:40:54
ILK ?. I remember Keith. What a finisher. At least the Beeb has an accurate acronym.

Only managed to watch the 2nd half last night. Ok it was a scrappy game but we did what was needed to be done against one of the form teams in their back yard. Subs were a little strange, especially pulling willy off, the motm in a Lu shirt. Really liking the largie/ willy relationship and understanding that they're getting, could be a grower.
1.) 02 Oct 2024 21:23:24
I would like to see Largie and DJ on the wings, get some real speed going down each wing. Bring on Solomon and Gnonto as impact subs.
2.) 02 Oct 2024 22:06:11
Great options to have but surely Gnonto has to start? He’s been very good so far and definitely one of our better players.
3.) 02 Oct 2024 22:36:11
When fit all 3 of DJ, Gnonto and Ramazzani need to start. all three needed for goals and assists.
Current Champo table
1 Sunderland
2 Burnley
3 Sheff Utd
4 WBA
5 Leeds
the same teams. slightly different order at end of season?
4.) 03 Oct 2024 02:41:09
The champ results are all over the place. No real consistency. Poss could be top 5. Although people seem to think Norwich should be there. You got Watford and hull who some like. Blackburn have only lost one.
I’ve not seen Sunderland or sheff yet but I wasn’t impressed with either burnley or Brom.
5.) 03 Oct 2024 10:40:51
Banging Gnonto on the bench for Dan James ? what am I reading ?.
6.) 03 Oct 2024 12:27:19
Agree Dil, benching Gnoto in his current form for James seems ludicrous. James needs to earn his place back from the subs bench, sure he'll be dangerous from it too against tiring defenders legs.
7.) 03 Oct 2024 13:09:01
Dill,
DJ has the speed to cut threw the lines and him playing over Gnonto isn't a knock to Gnonto. I think Gnonto plays the best with the wind in his sails and when the crowd are behind him. He's a lot like Piroe; can sink more when we have momentum.
I do wish he would shoot more from outside the box though because he has cannons for legs.
8.) 03 Oct 2024 13:41:02
DJ RW
LR LW
WG Number 10.
9.) 03 Oct 2024 13:42:11
Think you’re wrong on this one mot.
James minimum 4 games as sub on return and has to earn his colours again because he was a headless chick pre injury.
10.) 03 Oct 2024 14:55:49
Honestly, Gnonto or James on first to be subbed for the other is six and two threes. It depends on the team we play on the day who should head the charge and who would make a positive impact.
We're yet to see Largie and DJ play together. Maybe Gnonto should go 9 as a sub and have Largie and DJ on the wings?
It's a good place to be that we have such versatility on the wings and in attack, we can chop and change subs and players to give us the best advantage against teams. Much better than relying on just Summerville last season.
11.) 03 Oct 2024 19:10:20
Gnonto is in good form and DJ is coming back from injury. Not sure why it's even a discussion. Even if both were fit it's still Gnonto>DJ. He's just better. Can't be judging DJ on how he played last season. That's been and gone and he's been out of form for ages.
Dropping Gnonto, the player who's been a lighting rod for the ball in recent weeks, as well as forming what looks to be a very good partnership with Ramazani, for a player who's well out of form and coming off an injury is kinda ridiculous. Sorry mate, no offence intended but that is mental that ?.
12.) 04 Oct 2024 06:26:06
Totally agree Dill, you’d have to have a hole in your head to choose James to start over how Gnonto is playing right now. Willy is in formidable form at present and our best player. Looking forward to having James back though, from the bench he can be a big threat to tiring opposition defenders.
28 Sep 2024 17:14:05
Coventry were very poor, if we hadn't of at least 3 then farkes head could've been on the block.
1.) 28 Sep 2024 17:28:42
A good competent win
Best game so far from Willy
Coventry were nullified.
2.) 28 Sep 2024 17:51:48
I'm a happy man, hallelujah!
3.) 28 Sep 2024 18:29:28
Great comment from the leeds support. Leeds weren’t good Coventry are bad anything less than three sack the manager
Sad thing is I don’t think that was a tounge in cheek post.
4.) 28 Sep 2024 19:20:37
I hate to say it but Berm is absolutely right on this one- it was3-0 that’s THREE - NIL. It’s a good result against any Champo side.
5.) 28 Sep 2024 19:58:15
We’ve conceded 1 goal in the last 6 matches; form we could have barely considered given the crap pre-season.
After 7 games last season, we had drawn 0-0 v Hull, we were 9th in the table, already 9 points behind the leaders…we have made a better start, despite everything that’s gone on.
Hopefully it can continue.
6.) 28 Sep 2024 23:09:20
Though that was our best game of the season tbh. Great team display and a lot of great individual performances. We're solid defensively. Were fluid in attack. Another clean sheet and plenty of goals. Love to see it.
It's no surprise that we looked more dangerous today as we found the right flank moreso than any other game today. Using the full width of the pitch will pay dividends as teams can't just overload one side, as they have when we've been spamming the left. got to keep em honest. Also feel like we had more shots today instead of taking the extra touch. Something MoT mentioned earlier this week. Paid dividends for Gnonto's first today and Ramazani nearly scored a dipping shot just after.
7.) 29 Sep 2024 07:40:50
Dill It was Gruev with the big dipper, not Largie.
Looks like Farke abandoning the handbrake in midfield. The result not just a win, not just better style but everyone had a good performance. We have the look and feel of Champions.
8.) 29 Sep 2024 10:52:43
Not the one where keeper was off his line, George. The one from the edge of the D that Ramazani shot. Was pretty much a nothing ball that got pumped up and he took it down on his chest and turned and shot with a bit if dip.
9.) 29 Sep 2024 14:11:27
Oh ok Dill.
16 Aug 2024 12:42:00
BREAKING: Leeds are set to sign South Korean midfielder Fookin-No-Won and Brazilian striker Nobodinho.
1.) 16 Aug 2024 13:50:35
ILK Along with Self-Sabotageville and Laughing Stockigo.
2.) 16 Aug 2024 14:43:40
Boozer must’ve have had an early doors happy hour for Mr Mitty.
3.) 16 Aug 2024 15:23:19
Yes I'm Mr Mitty because the loan relegation release clauses, Rutter release clause and at a low valuation, his impending transfer, selling our best players all fake and hyperbole. I'm only permitted to post positively despite bad news. This renders my reaction imaginary to imaginary "facts". Correction appreciated ??.
4.) 16 Aug 2024 18:14:22
Didn’t correct owt?
5.) 16 Aug 2024 20:05:30
George, if you want to wallow with the pigs and shower yourself in abject misery at the complete destruction of our club, according to yourself and perhaps some others, that’s absolutely fine, go ahead, knock yourself out. ?
I’m going for a victory at the Hawthorns for us tomorrow, defiant to the end and Never, Never, Never give up. I certainly don’t think our players will and expect them to put in an outstanding performance to take all 3 points.
6.) 17 Aug 2024 06:44:42
As Gio would say; “Let’s Goooooo! ”
Oh, wait…….
10 Aug 2024 14:04:51
Pack looks like the player all opposition fans and teams hate. A bully, not shy of a tackle and a thug, possibly what were missing.
1.) 10 Aug 2024 14:31:53
Prob Koch. Looked like a bunch of Italians tbh. Poor.
2.) 10 Aug 2024 15:02:11
Shirt pulls and cynical
Fouls he should have been sent off.
04 Aug 2024 21:24:54
Watched the highlights of yesterday's game and must say I'm getting ever more excited about Joseph. He's looks like he's certainly been working hard through this summer, bulked up and very sharp.
Questions for you knowledgeable lot. If we get a striker such as smodicks, will he start over Joseph? And if he does start, could this be demoralising for Joseph having put all that energy in the close season and showing very good form in the preseason friendlies?
1.) 04 Aug 2024 21:45:53
Farke is gonner make do with MJ, JP and PB
No way a pricey player such as Sammi Szmodics is coming to Leeds this window.
2.) 04 Aug 2024 21:58:59
Szmodics isn't a striker. Problem solved.
3.) 04 Aug 2024 22:11:20
Szmosics not a striker. And thank god we not signing him especially at the the price quoted.
4.) 04 Aug 2024 23:03:04
Joseph’s very different in an out and out number nine. Looking immensely good and another great orta buy! How many rabbits can one man pull from a hat and still get slated
Genuine question
How much did orta buy gnoto summerville mes struijk Joseph and Rutter for and how much are they worth? Is like football manager with a squad for of wonderkids!
5.) 04 Aug 2024 23:24:47
Pierre Lasooggav, Cibiki, Ekuban, Felix, Grot
How many donkeys out of a stable before doors are shut Bermo?
6.) 05 Aug 2024 00:16:19
Chris indeed the list is endless of Orta duds . he particularly hasca penchant for gk duds : Kiko, Gashlier, Klaessen, Wieldwald
The irony of Berm rating Meslier who is a million miles from getting even one full international cap
Yet slated KP with a gazillion posts as pony . yet he still picked up 30 England international caps ☺.
7.) 05 Aug 2024 00:44:36
What brothers Chris and Baz say.
8.) 05 Aug 2024 06:10:22
Made my personal feelings known on Orta. Did more bad than good and the repercussions are still being felt two seasons later.
9.) 05 Aug 2024 07:01:54
Do some Google research and back it up by proving what percentage of “potential based” signings, actually deliver. What defines a good return vs poor return?
Can’t be done can it, so all arguments are relatively moot in this one!?
Yes, lots of duds. Yes, also many great signings who will / have more than delivered in football and financial terms. It’s all down to opinion, and positive/ negative outlooks this one imo.
10.) 05 Aug 2024 09:36:18
Agree bright it’s all subjective
Will say Chris you mention ortas flops
Lasogga was a loan so not an awful signing and we made money on grot and ekuban so not great sigings but if small profit made that’s not a bad one either
Baz the fact you rate Nigel martyn but then constantly say he don’t know what his talking about is the reason I give you zero credit when it comes to mes.
11.) 05 Aug 2024 11:01:30
Comparing Martin to Meslier is a waste of time, a goalkeepers role has changed so radically, he is almost part outfield player as well as goalkeeper.
It’s also a very hard thing to do and often leads to the opposition attackers profiting a goal if there is the slightest error.
Something Nigel Martin may have not been able to do effectively.
12.) 05 Aug 2024 12:04:28
Bang on, OP. Goalkeeper roles have drastically changed over the years. Same with CBs. Need to do the job that's always been asked of them, along with being able to distribute the ball effectively.
13.) 05 Aug 2024 12:33:58
OP its all been thoroughly documented before about Gash.
. not only is he mediocre at best at being a part ' outfield ' player
but he is also gash to mediocre in almost all aspects of other goalkeeping duties/ skills .
Its only " one on one" where he could be rated quite good
Champo gks saves per shot stats 2023/ 24 table comparisons Mes was wayyy down list in 17th out of 24
But even forget stats if you will.
watching him in 4 seasons of matches one more than knows enough of every strength and many weaknesses of Le Gash.
14.) 05 Aug 2024 12:41:05
Drastically changed Dill?
. passing ball out yes . but that's all!
And as you well know Le Gash ain't a good gk.
hence your frequent wishes on here for replacement/ upgrade gk ( to Gash)
15.) 05 Aug 2024 13:44:27
Great point role of the keeper and indeed football has massively changed
For the record I have never compared martyn to mes it was martyn who compared himself to mes and said mes was better
For me mes is 100% better in the air than martyn who was known for being useless on crosses. Both great at one on ones and both world class at shot stopping
Personally I would have to agree with martyn and I think mes is better but I’m swayed but martyn who probably is best placed to judge
I mean when it comes to how good mes and martyn were/ are are we going to listen to martyn or baz?
Personally I don’t listen to baz on anything certainly not goalkeeping.
16.) 05 Aug 2024 14:11:37
Berma
OR
you can actually watch games properly. lol.
and listen to Leeds youtubers and 90% of Leeds fans re Gash
The number of times Gash let's in first shot on goal is astonishing!
World class shot stopper ?
#Berma riduculous hyperbole.
17.) 05 Aug 2024 15:19:07
Baz I’ll explain this again…. Martyn said that about le gash… not me
I don’t listen to YouTubers I don’t listen to fans… I’m listening to martyn a point I’ve made clear but clearly you seem to miss?
I don’t know if you’ve missed it to spark a row between me, it seems there are certain people you target on here for conflict or if you genuinely don’t understand it.
I will say this in all honesty you seem to want to start conflict which is something my mum did. If you ever feel the need to reach out and talk to someone I can be really good for mental health in case it might be needed, it might not I don’t know you well enough to say but it’s cmsomethinv I’m very passionate about since my mother passed away
If you need someone to talk to mate please reach out mental health is not an illness or something to be ashamed about and conflict is not the way forward mate
All the best either way mot.
18.) 05 Aug 2024 19:30:56
Baz I like you just the way you are.
19.) 05 Aug 2024 19:59:11
Cheers Georgey ?.
20.) 05 Aug 2024 20:55:58
There's a lot more to it these days, Baz. got to position themselves for regularly taking passes, coming much higher up the pitch so they can anticipate and sweep effectively, better distribution us a must.
When Martyn was about it was pretty much just goalkeeping duties and launching the ball up the pitch.
21.) 05 Aug 2024 22:45:40
What exactly makes you tubers the great and all knowing oracles of football?
They are just like ex footballer pundits just trying to make themselves popular by just repeating the same nonsense garbage that other pundits spout out their back sides, only at least ex pro’s have played the game. As far as I’m concerned the you tubers also repeat what some other you tuber said only those parrots don’t even know what they are talking about.
I now understand why your knowledge of football is so basic when you make references to you tubers as your source of information about football.
Try supporting the team you say you love rather than referencing certain players with crappy derogatory names.
That’s schoolboy stuff in my books.
22.) 06 Aug 2024 01:13:46
OP I particularly recommend Ger of The View and the analyst Locky. both are excellent. Kagey is quite good.
Ther certainly don't spout " nonsense garbage " . and as you say you have never watched them OP. how would you even know?
23.) 06 Aug 2024 04:43:21
What Baz said.
OP
Isn't this forum itself a slight written version of such sites? A multifarious blog if you will. Why seek to stifle different opinions and possible stimulating debate?
We can't all predict Top 6, champions, O'Leary misfits and so forth. Some of us are realistic fans.
24.) 06 Aug 2024 06:50:27
It’s my opinion George isn’t that what this forum is about?
You and particularly Baz appear to enjoy making other posters feel they are stupid because your view is the correct one when it is most definitely not, in my opinion.
You also George repeatedly post, "what Baz said "
Why not share with us your opinions on our football club instead of Baz’s recycled and regurgitated YouTuber opinions. Surely you have views which are different.
25.) 06 Aug 2024 07:29:18
OP I find that I'm in agreement with Baz opinions and his perception of facts around 95% of the time. Most of the time in respect of an issue started on a thread he posts just before me. I simply corroborate his view rather than regurgitate or duplicate (which would be unhelpful and plagiaristic) . There have been a few occasions we disagree which can result in most stimulating debate or humble mutual respect. Suggest take leaf ? out of my book ?.
Fwiw, I believe we are only 3 right signings away from winning this league but they have to be the right ones. Blades are our main threat imo.
26.) 06 Aug 2024 11:26:38
Cheers Georgey.
27.) 06 Aug 2024 13:13:37
Facts my Backside, carefully sourced from YouTubers ?
Prefer to take a leaf out my book thank you.
MarchingOnSeperately.
28.) 06 Aug 2024 16:33:51
Some of these YTers have a following in excess of a regular attendance on a match day at ER. Have they also been deceived like our Baz?
29.) 06 Aug 2024 21:32:55
George that’s why too many people are like sheep, why believe one person’s opinion as true just because he has a media platform.
Think for yourself.
30.) 06 Aug 2024 21:50:36
They are YouTubers for effs sake! Their knowledge and experience, barring one or two, is less than some on here. Half of them repeat each other, and people who watch more than one therefor see two or more say the same thing, and assume it’s factual. Gullibility for sale!
04 Jun 2024 21:16:31
The oracle that is Facebook Dil, must be true.
07 Dec 2023 16:26:39
Don't think he'll want to be playing in League 1 or 2 next season.
04 Oct 2024 09:00:42
Baz, cest la vie if you sign non European international players.
03 Oct 2024 12:27:19
Agree Dil, benching Gnoto in his current form for James seems ludicrous. James needs to earn his place back from the subs bench, sure he'll be dangerous from it too against tiring defenders legs.
01 Oct 2024 21:24:41
See guys, I can type both a sensible and legible post ?.
01 Oct 2024 12:37:09
Thought we looked more balanced and more of a forward thinking team when Ao came on for Amps. Not saying we played badly with Amps, on the contrary, best performance of the season that I've seen.
Like Gruev last season when Amps moved to CB, this could be Ao's chance to grab his place by the balls and make a name for himself.
25 Sep 2024 20:46:04
Can't disagree with anything you said Ben, good post.
