Thank god! Let's hope today draws a line in the sand, and we can now kick on. Think today the result gods have been smiling πŸ˜ƒ on us, big thumbs up to Barnsley, maybe Fulham getting the gitters. A few others now joining the play off push.

1.) 15 Feb 2020 17:26:09
Three points next match, and we are looking much better. Time to ramp up the pressure on the other teams, rather than the other way around! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ»πŸ»πŸ».

09 Jan 2020 21:17:58
So we got a medical pencilled in for another young player that will be added to the one for the future brigade. When is this club going to enter a transfer window and get a bloody player we can use now!

1.) 10 Jan 2020 03:34:00
Mezz Those players cost big bucks. The weakest player in our first team on performance this season is probably Costa and he going to costa Β£15m. Finding players good enough to shove a current player out of the 18 matchday squad will not be cheap. When you reach the summit of the Championship after nearly 30 games you tend to have good players worth money so acquiring even better ain't going to be cheap. I stand by my predo. Che Adams will arrive before the end of January.

2.) 10 Jan 2020 10:51:07
Geirge hope you are right with your prediction about Adams .

3.) 10 Jan 2020 11:11:45
They don’t seem to be giving up on getting him, so let’s hope Jenkins hasn't secretly joined the Saints board! Getting Adams would be the positive sign we all want!

4.) 10 Jan 2020 12:57:51
Would you take Madine as a cheap option, no fee and would presume low wages.

For someone to play 2nd fiddle to Bamford is MB isn't willing to give Edmundson a go.

07 Jan 2020 08:18:15
Don't really care that we are out of the FA Cup this season. First half we showed that we aren't far off premiership standard. If we go up then more than a good chance we will strengthen and be able to be competitive in that league. Worrying though is The VAR system and the standard of the referees using it. I thought championship referees were bad enough but that guy last night was a new level of carp!

13 Oct 2019 09:50:18
Bristol city already lining up to take Eddie in January should arsenal recall him. Would not be surprised if this happens as said this before if bielsa doesn't rate of trust him then someone else will use him. Really don't get why our club took him if he doesn't fit bielsa's style, and even more frustrating that we keep flogging a dead donkey in Bamford. Baring injury to bamford, don't see what has to go in Eddie's favour to get a game, then again he would play Roberts up top.

1.) 13 Oct 2019 10:25:26
Can’t argue with any of that Mezzer!

2.) 13 Oct 2019 10:45:54
Good it really bothered.

3.) 13 Oct 2019 17:39:00
We brought Mujica in as well who is now sat watching telly as not even making squad at his loan club. Surely we have some plan for these guys when we bring them in. Could understand Eddie sat on bench if we were scoring loads of goals but we aint. Can see Arsenals point players need time on pitch to show what they can do if he is not getting it then its wasted time for Arsenal.

4.) 14 Oct 2019 10:34:41
Another example of Orta doing what he wants rather than actually bringing in players that the manager wants. Bielsa wanted Kent and got Eddie.

Whatever the board spins about Bielsa being happy with the squad and signings coming down to Bielsa for me this has clearly not happened and the above is the best example.

5.) 14 Oct 2019 17:11:37
Have we all ever stopped to think a bit longer term than the next game. I think these days too much pressure is heaped on young players and surely if MB is coaching him or them loanees to be better players long term then what burn them out quickly. Wait till the tougher end of the season and them let em play. Personally I would be a bit peed off if I was Arsenal and we got back a worn out battered and blue player after a long season in the hardest league. If I loan or borrow something then to give it back the same or better condition from when I loaned it means I can always borrow again. Look at Ben White and how he has grown too. Long season be patient although as Leeds fans we are never easy to please. MOT.

6.) 15 Oct 2019 10:29:10
Sorry Gray but i think Arsenal will be wondering why their player is not out on the pitch gaining experience, and you loan players to improve your squad not wrap them in cotton wool and return them in the same condition as they came. Think they will be expecting us to improve him, he can get U23 games with his own club. White is a good example of what to do with good players, play them. Even Bubs is surprised at what a good player he is but he as only found that out by playing him. If Eddie is not Bubs sort of player then we are wasting every ones time having him here.

7.) 15 Oct 2019 11:33:37
Yes bieslabud I get it and see where you are coming from. I would love to see him play and score but what if he starts getting a run of games in and they don't go in for him. I am sure they fans would be saying different and it's all about confidence. I guess time will tell.

8.) 15 Oct 2019 22:09:06
It’s a long season and it’s guaranteed Eddie will get his chance. Good post Gray.

07 Aug 2019 21:32:49
Pierce signing for Wigan not Barnsley.

1.) 07 Aug 2019 22:17:55
Will he wear the shirt 007? Actually, now that would be women's football πŸ˜‚.

2.) 08 Aug 2019 05:35:57
What’s up with women’s football George? 😑.

3.) 08 Aug 2019 10:07:42
TTIAO Nothing wrong with women's football at all. Women playing sport at all levels especially professional is both good for the game and generally.

4.) 08 Aug 2019 12:38:23
Bit boring though innit?

French 2 top league's now not going to be completed following the Dutch league. Someone linked with FIFA now coming out and saying maybe we should focus on starting up again next season. Got this horrible feeling that we going to see this season not finished. Then the question will be do we gain promotion from our current position or will promotion and relegation be voided this time. As a Leeds fan we probably can guess who will lose out!

1.) 29 Apr 2020 10:56:48
From what I have read unlike the ridiculous scandalous closed shop. null. and void Dutch league ( which UEFA should not award any European competition places to ) the French League will not be null and voider and they will vote in May for one of 3 options to decide the season's league standings

1) ppg
2) mid season average
3) current standings

For the ( diminishing) integrity of European football there should be no null and voiding seasons that are 80% complete. Champions, relegation, promotion must be determined.

2.) 29 Apr 2020 11:00:24
I think all the leagues are handling this haphazardly. They have finished the season in France with no plan how to finalise placings, no plan of entry to to European cup games. They have had over a month to debate this and possible outcomes so you would have thought they would have a plan about what's going to happen and whether clubs will be reimbursed for losses. No we will just finish the season and spend the next 12 months in litigation which will affect the start of the new season anyway. These governing bodies need a good shake up, no doubt they will blame their respective governments for their failings.

3.) 29 Apr 2020 11:35:56
Bazooka, agree with everything you say mate and hope that fair play and sense is used in making any decision. Personally if we can't continue with resuming this season, that points per game is used, or at very least the standings as in championship we had all played the same amount of games. Just worrying that nothing every seems to go in our favour.

4.) 29 Apr 2020 11:45:43
Cheers Mezzer .
Yes fair play and sense indeed is required.

5.) 29 Apr 2020 15:35:10
Totally agree Bazooka, would love something to go our way for once.

6.) 29 Apr 2020 16:23:33
Cheers LUFCfeath we all hope so! MOT.

ITV running a virtual grand national next Saturday has given me a thought, if the remains games of the season cannot get played due to the corona virus still being amongst us, instead of voiding the season play them games as virtual games.

26 Mar 2020 10:58:06
Leeds United players and senior staff deferring their wages so that other staff connected with club continue to get paid. How can you love this club moreπŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ’“. Great gesture by all concerned. Class clubπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘.

1.) 26 Mar 2020 16:11:10
A great gesture to give security to those less well paid at the club, and to give them peace of mind. Respect where it’s due. Side before self, every time. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ».

2.) 26 Mar 2020 18:49:06
Well done lads.

3.) 26 Mar 2020 19:26:32
A great bunch of players should always be remembered they have given the fans 2 great seasons and this gesture shows another side altogether.

4.) 27 Mar 2020 00:46:53
top class by the lads, i would expect no less but real touch of class to see.

19 Mar 2020 16:43:15
So looks like great news that the season will be extended indefinitely so that game can be played and the season finished. No null and voiding being called for, at least something to look forward to. Hope all you guys and your loved ones come through this troubling time safely and healthy.

1.) 19 Mar 2020 19:30:52
Sally came home from school and said to her mum Billy showed me is willy in the play ground, her mum look in horror, sally said don’t worry mum it reminds me of a peanut, her mum said why was it a small one, sally said no it was salty.

18 Mar 2020 18:40:53
EFL want to see the season completed, * unless it looks like Leeds Utd going up!

1.) 18 Mar 2020 18:56:52
Please don’t make these jokes I Can’t handle them.

2.) 18 Mar 2020 19:11:56
Who said it's a joke berm!

3.) 18 Mar 2020 20:12:29
Wow! The EFL making a sensible decision! 😳😳😳.

4.) 18 Mar 2020 23:41:00

Honestly don't think kiko is strong enough for the premiership to be honest. Although his distribution with the ball is quite good he is terrible from crosses and set pieces. Think we would be looking at replacing him as no.1 anyway if we go up.

Got to agree hess, this season we have either been tight at the back and miss firing up front or poor at the back but scoring a few. Last night's game and the Brum game, both wins but easily have lost them. We have done well to stay where we are but worry that failing to strengthen the back line will again cost us this season.

Think the German league only had 3 home wins without the fans across all the matches played since the restart. Guess it will come down to who has the best players.

Like I said, they may never find a vaccine for this virus and it's likely we are going to have to live with it in some form. This virus is from the same family as the common cold and they have never found a cure for that. All forms of businesses and job roles may have to change their practices to deal and live with this virus, are we go say sport and in particular football would just disappear? I guess not, so saying that if players want to continue in that profession then they need to play on with these changes. Just my take on things, I see many changes like continued social distancing when shopping for a long time going forward.

Troy Deeley has to make whatever decision he feels is best for him and his family. As I see it the football authorities will do their risk assessments and you can guarantee, they will have the best testing procedures money can buy. Nothing will be 100% safe but I would guess football with the testing, playing behind closed doors and other measures, will be much safer than most job roles. Troy Deeley is just as likely to come into contact with this virus through having food delivered or other aspects to daily living.
I wish my job offered me continued testing rather than only if I showed symptoms.

I suppose it's down to the individual person and their own circumstances as to the reasons to return to their job or not. Did Find it a bit rich that Danny Rose was spouting about putting his life/ health at risk for the entertainment of others.

He needs to look at his role as a professional footballer, or is he only happy with the trappings of wealth. Speaking personally as a support worker working in the care sector, also having a elderly mum who has health issues, I've continued to do my job and take care of mum.

I would go so far to say that I am probably at more risk of contact to the virus in my job role. ( I am aware the virus could be anywhere) . The fact that professional footballers/ and their families will have greater access to testing and continuous testing will negate much of the risk.

Many key workers have continued to do their job roles and then go home to their families each day, doctors and nurses included.
As I said people have to make their own decisions on what's best but C.V. is likely to be amongst us indefinitely and we have to learn to live with it. Maybe Danny Rose should look towards life without football and the money.

The intention may be there Mighty, but rumblings already amongst some premiership players about how safe it is to return and the risks to certain ethnic groups. Also got to factor the cost of testing staff and players involved as will high costs to clubs. While the premiership may be able to manage financially to get some form of matches played, many championship clubs will struggle.
