Jack Harrisson to be offered a new and improved contract deal to safeguard his services to Leeds Utd so to keep away those swirling vulture barcodes.

Personally at over 35 mill I’d sell. Not in January but the summer. He’s way to inconsistent. Just hope Newcastle come back in….

2.) 15 Oct 2022 11:44:45
Corkie bud. That would in essence mean losing money on him. £50m minimum imo!

3.) 17 Oct 2022 00:03:06
Very much doubt JH will sign a new contract, why would he?

he will go next summer.

4.) 17 Oct 2022 08:19:51
Sadly, I think you’re right Baz.

Strong rumours now circulating that Marseille forward Bamba Dieng maybe traded with Leeds United today.

Just waiting for the oh, we were keeping. an eye out for him for ages, he fits our profile ???

Op even you got. to be underwhelmed by this, Radz is a bluffer

Smash the record on CdK? but end up with a Lidl purchase ?.

For the moment they’re still no concrete confirmations on Leeds signing Gnonto from FC Zurich but it looks like they want something closer to 10 Mil, a little higher than the reported 5 Mil Leeds have already offered.
Think this transfer may have wings before the deadline closes, fingers crossed.

1.) 19 Aug 2022 11:59:24
Nothing too close to being completed as he came off the bench last night for Zurich.

09 Aug 2022 10:10:36
Keeper Robles in, keep Meslier on his toes.

OptimisticalPesimist

1.) 09 Aug 2022 16:44:32
One year deal for a 32 y o gk?
Seems a bit strange.

2.) 09 Aug 2022 22:49:18
Not as strange as you Baz.

3.) 10 Aug 2022 01:25:52
Lol jigster Corky ?? cool with that.

4.) 10 Aug 2022 11:59:32
I think it makes sense. Bit of experience and possibly a move into coaching. Provably better than beings stuck with someone who may not fit in for 5 years like with Kiko.

5.) 10 Aug 2022 23:08:53
Coaching? He’s only 32 I believe.

18 Jun 2022 12:03:26
PSG have now made a formal inquiry for KP.
Don’t think anything can stop this from happening now, disappointing that he is only valued tops at 55 Mil, when you think slabhead went to Devon for 80!

Don’t know if this has been mentioned before but Leeds will play a friendly against Real Sociedad at Elland rd on the 16th December.

1.) 25 Nov 2022 06:35:04
OP missed that one many thanks.

2.) 25 Nov 2022 23:14:33
Got the tickets cheers mate!

12 Nov 2022 18:38:25
When we get over the disappointment of that result we can look at these last three games and perhaps be quite happy to take six points out of nine, plus banging in nine goals
Not too bad when put in to perspective.

OptimisticalPesimist

1.) 12 Nov 2022 19:33:28
Totally agree OP pal, we played well today.

2.) 12 Nov 2022 19:58:52
Should’ve been 9 from 9.
The biggest disappointment for me is that we are actually playing some very good, attacking football, and had Jesse not made that change, throwing Luke on in central defence, in between two CB’s, where he has never really played before, at the expense of the stability that Roca had given us in midfield, we might have scored more with the way we were dominating. Very strange move in my view, and more exposing two minutes later throwing on two attackers. It’s one of those critical moments that can define a season I’m afraid.

3.) 12 Nov 2022 20:17:51
One way of looking at it, another is we’ve had two wins done August and we’re now two points above the relegation places. We have a manager still telling us there were positives today, are we saying if God (Bielsa) had spewed similar rhetoric he’d still be here?

Next level? Someone please enlighten me as to what our manager brings? I’m nearly always wrong and would be only too delighted to be wrong again.

4.) 12 Nov 2022 20:49:44
Or OP 6points from 21 ( last 7 games) most definitively in an R fodder battle

The good news is Rodders and Summerville are on full throttle

The bad news is our lack of central midfield options aside from Adams and Roca and woeful defenders

Our gk Meslier at fault too for 2nd goal bring in Robles.

5.) 12 Nov 2022 21:11:40
Could have been Bright not SHOULD have been, . let's not forget it was spuds we woz playing .

He gambled and it did'nt work, had it then it's a masterstroke! Just like Bournemouth game

Couple of players in Jan hopefully and we will be ok,

6.) 12 Nov 2022 21:28:48
Seemed odd to me, I was expecting Aaronson to come off.

7.) 12 Nov 2022 22:23:48
Chris, bud, there is no such thing as a negative gamble in this sport. He gambled, negatively.
He made a shocking, duff, utter gubbins, schoolboy decision, which imploded, and cost us the 3 points, which, if he hadn’t tinkered, would have been banked.

12 Nov 2022 16:55:35
Spurs always cheating.
Their first goal should never of stood, we were swindled, again.

OptimisticalPesimist

1.) 12 Nov 2022 17:04:04
Four times Op don’t think so.

2.) 12 Nov 2022 17:07:45
JM solely to blame for that loss.
He has nowhere to hide on that, and if he doesn’t hold his hands up and admit, then I will think a lot less of him.
The other side of the coin, is that he had the lads playing some wonderful possession football in many parts of that match, against, let’s face it, is a very technically capable Spuds team.
Then he ruined it in two minutes of utter madness.

3.) 12 Nov 2022 17:14:06
No Class, I said their first goal should not of stood.
We all know we have defensive issues but their first goal Meslier was deliberately taken out, no eyes on the ball from their player.?

4.) 12 Nov 2022 17:37:49
We got. outdone by lack of benchI. M. O, no real go to options, we played some great football and that's a big plus I. M. O , but it really is imperative that we have a good window. And hole up the massive gaps in our squad

Credit Rodi he has persisted when the chips were against him .

In a strange way, could the fact we were beaten actually work in our favour? to pre-empt The board to finally solve the 2 fundamental flaws in our squad?

Had we won then Angus rubbish of upward trajectory rubbish talk might have been the only words audible in boardroom?

5.) 12 Nov 2022 17:40:52
Let’s hope it has that affect Chris!

12 Nov 2022 08:02:21
Does look very likely that Greenwood will start against Spurs, which will probably push Aaronson out wider. Harrison’s game has departed for the time being, don’t think there’s any story about him wanting to leave for Newcastle. He does have a muscle strain but I think the coaching staff see it as an opportunity to rest him, he just needs to take some time out to sort his head out and what better time than the World Cup break.

I do rate JH, he’s not a naturally gifted player but he works extremely hard at improving his game, I think he’s totally frustrated at his loss of form, some time out I imagine will do him good, he’ll be back I’m certain of that.

OptimisticalPesimist

1.) 12 Nov 2022 08:46:22
I rate him too. Always 100%. But off form and his failure to celebrate last week could be a sign that he knows we have strength in depth and in form. Don’t think he likes being sub which is fair enough but he usually starts so, he got to take opportunities.

2.) 12 Nov 2022 09:26:06
Agree with OP and Ausman2 always gives 100% but if his heart is at Chainsaw massacre so be it, hope he’s e back soon and firing on all cylinders.

3.) 12 Nov 2022 12:14:21
JH not celebrating last week logically suggests he is no longer happy at Leeds and knows he is eaving soon

JH isn't signing a new contract
he is off next window or in summer ; I had hoped he would still be effective in his final season for Leeds

but sadly he hasn't been due partly to JM cluelessly playing him on the right in addition to JH seemingly going through motions knowing he is leaving Leeds soon.

4.) 12 Nov 2022 14:42:27
IMO, Baz, a winger should be able to play off either wing, clearly something that JM also believes. Maybe JH has thrown his dummy out over it, but he should be able to play left or right.

07 Nov 2022 06:16:57
It’s was after the spanking we received from Spurs last season that drew the curtain down on Bielsa’s tenure at Elland rd, however if we are beaten by them soundly this time round I don’t think it will be the same outcome for JM, he has earned some more time in the bank with us.

Looking back at that game though at Elland rd we were a completely depleted team with no KP, Bam and others with the likes of Shacks, Kenneh and Roberts on the bench. It was no surprise we were getting slaughtered by teams during this period.
The positives now are that we are in a considerably better position now than we were then. But there is no denying we do still have defensive issues.
The good news is that we are creating more chances again and scoring goals, I do like this Gnonto and Summerville combo it’s looking very tasty.

I’m not going to make a prediction against Spurs, we will most certainly need a slice of luck to get a result but I think we are still due more of that and we are playing them after successive back to back victories and confidence serging through this very young team.
MOT.

1.) 07 Nov 2022 08:55:17
We've actually seemed to have better games vs the 'better' teams than against the 'poorer' ones so far.

2.) 07 Nov 2022 09:34:55
Bournemouth on Saturday were going long over the top, Spurs will play to soak up the attacks and hits us on the counter,

Dill, I’ve also a French mate who’s a RC Lens fan and likewise rates Kalimeundo very highly as a prospect.
That same French mate also told me about Raphinha before he left Rennes that he was going to be a great player for Leeds if we bought him.

I’m not sure but I think that payment has to be made by the 2nd of September, hence Radz making a threat that if they don’t, legal action against Barcelona will be announced forthwith.

I don’t think the club was totally committed in bringing O’Brien in, I believe the amount was agreed on but not the payment structure. Had Leeds really wanted him they would have met their demands. They took a gamble that Forshaw would come good in his return and he did. O’Brien is a decent player but should we be looking at better quality? Most certainly.

I think having a coach that is relatively unknown with not a great deal of success doesn’t help influence certain players of a quality that we need, apart from American ones of course.
There is still another American player I wouldn’t mind at Leeds that being Weston McKennie currently at Juventus. Could spice up our midfield nicely.
Pity there’s no top drew American LB’s out there, well not that I’m aware of. ?
There is Pulisic also but I think his wages will be too high and maybe wants CL football, could be the same problem with McKennie also.

It’s interesting to look at the teams who could cause a shock in the tournament. Denmark for me will win their group ahead of France and could end up in quarters or semis.
The other surprise team I’m going for is Equador who could qualify from their group causing potential upsets against the Netherlands and Senegal.

For England I do fear a big upset in our group against any of those three teams, even Iran!
Gareth Southgate was given a golden opportunity in the Euros, gifted with an awesome attacking line up and still he somehow failed. Southgate is not a winner and I would safely bet my house that England will not win the World Cup 2022.

I think the prospects and the $ make Newcastle a very interesting proposition for potential quality incomings.
Newcastle’s team wages almost doubles ours.
There will be more activity in the summer for us again, I expect more to be leaving this time though.

I think you can ignore all the click bait stories. The most important player position we need now is a LB and quality LB’s are not easy to find. The January transfer market is also not a good time to be buying players for many reasons, only clubs who are prepared to pay extortionate prices or going to elite clubs will get you that quality player. I think we’ve been down that road before in looking for a LB who might come good.
Certainly didn’t work with Firpo.
