From what I've seen he's a quality player and has done better than ok at Ipswich. If he's being brought in as a replacement for Mowatt then i think it achieves Monk's objective of strengthening the squad, not weakening it. Very effective at this level.

I'd heard that we might not pay out for him until summer so that doesn't come as a shock, but not sure about this condition re: promotion. That's a bit of a worry if it's true.
