Will be watching the Leeds game in The Owl and the Pussycat in Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote. Last time I watched our beloved Whites here we beat Stoke 6-0! Something similar would suffice against Fulham tomorrow!
1.) 12 Sep 2025 11:39:48
3-0 unless we get a penalty. 3-1.
2.) 12 Sep 2025 12:01:32
That in old town Staffs?
In that little square.
3.) 12 Sep 2025 12:58:57
Nice little boozer right next door to another little boozer. Kinda confusing which outdoor seats belong to which pub.
4.) 12 Sep 2025 13:15:09
That’s the one, Wendy fan runs one of the bars but the one by it is showing the mighty whites

I'll wave Staffs I'm in Bremners bar in Costa Adje Tenerife ??.
6.) 12 Sep 2025 19:51:22
Another positive post Aus. mate, are you just throwing grenades to get reaction all the time, how about a little positivity once in a while. The lads are talking about a nice experience about being abroad watching our beloved team, and you decide to disregard and throw an enormous terd on the conversation. Pretty sad that.
Enjoy Lanzarote, and enjoy the game being abroad, nothing better in my opinion for the banter.
7.) 13 Sep 2025 00:30:20
Responded to the score part of the post Doug. Which is my choice.
Apologies for not mentioning the location and bar part of the post. Which is again. My choice.
I’m trying my best to be positive. The truth of the matter is that I’m underwhelmed with the squad. We have good players on some positions but not enough in my opinion. Which could be wrong. Hopefully.
8.) 13 Sep 2025 12:19:14
I get your point Aus, but you seem to be turning into Baz. don't get me wrong I had some good banter with Baz, particularly on the live chat during match days, but you are so pessimistic most of the time. I agree to difference of opinions, of course, but we're 3 games in with 4 points, and we did that with most our signings not on the pitch, so not a bad start. MOT pal.

Take it all back! Garbage utter garbage!
26 Aug 2025 16:05:00
For those criticising my earlier post, I would never deny that we are all entitled to our own opinions but surely, constructive comments are better than out and out condemnation of the board/ manager/ players. I do not wear rose tinted glasses and as stated, every defeat hurts but a little perspective might help. We are a newly promoted club in to arguably the toughest league in world football, we have made ten signings to date and will only get stronger as the players gel.
Keep the faith,
MOT

Much as I enjoy many of the posts on here, I am mightily sick of all the doom mongers who simply cannot give any credit for anything our great club does. Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course but good grief give it a rest. Currently into my 51st year of my Leeds United love affair I cannot fathom the negativity of some of our so called supporters. Every defeat hurts like hell and Arsenal was shocking but every win is special and I would follow my team if they played in the Northern Premier! Anyone who thinks they deserve to win every game can always go and watch Liverpool/ Real Madrid etc.
1.) 25 Aug 2025 14:15:49
You've missed the point of why people are pissed off at arsenal. No-one who is mad or upset at the loss is upset because we lost, nobody thought the results would likely go any other way.
there are positive intentions wrapped in their pessimism. Focus on the good and it puts the negative into a positive light.
2.) 25 Aug 2025 14:19:27
My first game was aged 7 stood on a Tetley beer crate in the Lowfields/ Scratching Shed corner, and like you I can't abide all the perpetual gloom mongers. We all know the game nowadays is dominated by money, and that we may never get to join the self selected 'elite, but support your team through all the "ups and downs", and "march on together"
3.) 25 Aug 2025 14:20:11
Nice Post Staffs ?.
4.) 25 Aug 2025 15:50:12
I concur staffs. Some people just like to moan, and it doesn't matter what happens, there always shxx to be found by some. we are in the premier league for goodness sake, try and enjoy the ride at least.
5.) 25 Aug 2025 16:42:21
Staffs, I am one who will bemoan a defeat as I’m perfectly entitled to do.
My bloody runs white, as I’m sure yours does.
We all react differently to a victory and a defeat, doesn’t make either wrong or right.
Opinions are like bum holes, we all have 1.
It’s not that we lost to Arsenal, they’re a brilliant team.
It’s the manner of which we lost, we had lost before a ball was kicked ( imo) the 11 picked were not the right 11 and stevie wonder could see that.
I am very much a Farke out as I see a poor man manager, a manager who is too arrogant to be pragmatic and change the way we play or set up.
He in my opinion will take us down.
That doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate the promotion but I feel the championship is his level.
I support Leeds United Not Daniel Farke, players/ managers come and go, my club doesn’t, it’s the only constant.
Saturday was a huge wake the f up call for Farke and the board, recruitment needs to be 10/ 10.
He also needs to show something.
Saturday I saw a team set up to lose with the belief they we going to lose, that’s not acceptable.
6.) 25 Aug 2025 17:29:46
If he picks piroe again that shows he is stubborn.
7.) 25 Aug 2025 18:11:37
Some people like cider, some lager, some stout, some wine, some spirits
The underlying thing in all that is, all those people like ALCOHOL,
Same here the underlying thing is LEEDS UTD, so anyone having a moan to the Rose tinted crew, is no less a fan than Rose tiniters having another platitude that doesn't materialize to the so called " doom mongers "
Both so called groups have their respective triggers, but 1 thing I never doubt on this forum is that EVERYONE of us love our club
So if you dony like it, don't read it, but don't say anyone is less a fan than opposite view pont crew, because you don't agree with comment.
{Ed025's Note - when you say some people like wine...i think you meant whine Chris.. :)
8.) 25 Aug 2025 18:37:02
Longlostfan
He picked Piroe 8 times without scoring a goal and persisted.
He refused to put Rutter in his natural position.
He refused to change Meslier until he was told to by Paraag.
He played the same formation and style (ball go up left) without change and he was found out, many times over the last two seasons.
He's stubborn and won't change.
9.) 25 Aug 2025 18:52:51
Parag is clueless too.
10.) 25 Aug 2025 19:27:19
MOT. he did all those things - and won the championship. Sounds to me all of his tactics were a great success!
Piroe was Golden Boot.
Fans wanted the best striker in the league playing instead, e. g. Joseph, that worked well - he started with the shirt didn't he?
No one wanted Bogle; Smhidt was who the fans wanted. or was it Spence. or Byram?
Now, he doesn't have Rutter in any position. Note Rutter in his "natural" position has not been a success at Brighton?
He's not playing Mes, and our new keeper is doing a fine job of instilling confidence with the fans!
I would argue he was never found out playing up the left last season since no teams dealt with is and it resulted in 100 points, 95 goals and +65 GD - seems being stubborn worked a treat.
Seems to me, not doing what 99% say here was his best tactic of all.
11.) 25 Aug 2025 20:01:31
100% Ani. Well said ?.
12.) 25 Aug 2025 20:46:54
Ani,
You're right in what you say, and I don't mean to be negative towards Leeds, or a Leeds player, manager or staff, in any way.
However, while congratulations are in order for Piroe and his golden boot, he went missing for 8 games.
Farke cost us points for not replacing Meslier sooner.
His tactical stubbornness cost us games we should have won.
And we only won the championship with almost the last kick of the game thanks to Solomon. He and Bogle and Firpo kept the team together towards the back end of the window when we wobbled, Sheffield utd fell apart while Burnley gained ground.
It's great for a bit of luck to drop on for Leeds for a change and we did deserve to lift the trophy. But let's not pretend it was plain sailing. 70+ min subs is a meme for a reason.
As I've said before, I appreciate everything Farke has done, but he was hired to get us promoted. He has done that and while the fella deserves a bash at the Prem, if he starts playing silly buggers with stubbornness and late subs, or poor subs, then he should be asked to leave. This is a ruthless league and we need to be ruthless. Not doing so with Marsch got us relegated.
I won't judge Farke (too harshly) until October but he needs to be consistent. We played Everton out of the park then turned into a league 2 side Vs arsenal. Not good enough.
13.) 25 Aug 2025 21:06:53
Well said MOT…I appreciate the post.
It seems it’s a common complaint about Leeds managers; stubbornness.
I think it has been levelled at virtually everyone, especially over the last 5 years.
14.) 25 Aug 2025 19:35:39
You enjoyed that 1 Ed ??.
15.) 25 Aug 2025 23:26:38
Good post Mo.
However lots of strikers go on bad scoring runs. Viduka is a prime example. He scored his goals in clutches but would still get ya 20 odd a season.
16.) 26 Aug 2025 09:04:40
Everyone is stubborn if they don't do what you want them to do, or expect them to. It's just a common response these days when there's a disagreement sadly. The fault is with the other person.
24 Jun 2025 14:18:15
Apparently, Meslier's favoured move fell through, he put his head in his hands and dropped it. Sorry, I'll get my coat.
1.) 25 Jun 2025 16:58:32
Mes deal slipped through the net.
01 Sep 2025 16:12:42
You know sometimes you take against a certain player and can’t really explain why? For me that’s Harry Wilson!
28 Aug 2023 12:39:40
Excellent use of the word “desirous”.
30 Jan 2023 15:59:01
Still haven’t forgiven Sunderland for the 1973 cup final!
12 Sep 2025 21:47:40
Can’t understand why people can be so nasty, as someone said, we can have differing opinions and express them respectfully but in the end what we ALL want is for our team to be competitive and make us proud!

How was the show?
11 Oct 2023 09:22:36
The wife comes from a family of die hard Stoke fans so even after 34 years wed she still wants them to win, although she enjoys our trips to ER! My daughter and younger son are Leeds through and through but my older lad sides with his mum! Got tickets as close to we could to the away end for the 25th so if you see a big bloke in a 49ers bobble hat doing a muted cest pump during MOT that will be me!
10 Oct 2023 22:27:06
My first game, as mentioned was in 1974 I believe and this team ran out in an all yellow kit with their numbers on little flag type things tucked into the top of their socks. A little ginger haired bloke ran the game and I fell instantly and irrevocably in love! Nearly 50 years later and, if anything, that love has grown!
