Apparently Bielsa attended talks in Qatar alongside Radz.

20 May 2019 12:57:31
Regards squad next season.
Hernandez gone hasn't got the legs so impact player at best.
Roofe on short contract could go cheaper than we hope
Kp same as above
Clarke and Shackleton will attract attention
Bamford not good enough
Ayling not consistent enough
Dallas average
Klich one of our better players?
Berardi not good enough

1.) 20 May 2019 17:01:29
Agrre with most of that wex. We will not get a full season out of Pablo and think Roofe and Pontus might be on their way. Will be interest in young ones but will depend on how much money Radz needs to raise whether they are sold or not. Bamford on his showing so far is not the answer up front but we are stuck with him so can only hope he gets his spark back.
Think Berardi, Dallas, Coops and Foreshaw should be saying goodbye. Think Radz needs to go for it in the summer before Bubs decides to move on.

2.) 21 May 2019 13:15:43
Re Hernandez' legs I said that at the start of the season but he proved me wrong to an extent.

3.) 21 May 2019 17:42:38
I think that until the run in, Pablo has proved to have one of the best engines in the squad! It just took its toll by the end. He’s a great player, and still has a part to play next year. He suffered after his backup, Saiz, left. We need another player of the same skill and vision to rotate them, in my view.

4.) 21 May 2019 19:17:50
Spot on wexleeds, and when it's laid down on screen how many players need replacing, we all surely know that there's not a snowballs radz is going to spend that amount of cash.
The probability is that he's going to sell the jewels buy the usual muck and do the usual hope for the best lark then .
It absolutely kills me to see Danny James go to them . Radz approach in that transfer was a complete shambles,
Ya we want him, but can we borrow him please swans?
Swans dead right telling him to yabba dabba doooo 1.

17 Mar 2019 21:28:01
If both Leeds and the blades play the same as Saturday in their last 8 games we should go up.

1.) 18 Mar 2019 00:55:47
They have the upper hand at the moment with points in the bank. But 8 games provides a lot of wriggle room for us to leap frog them at some point. Just wish we could at least once this season put our best team on the park with no injuries, no suspensions and everybody raring to go.

2.) 18 Mar 2019 11:16:08
They also have more pressure to keep it up. The underdog tag will do for me.

3.) 20 Mar 2019 13:04:40
Woof woof, let's get snarling and growling, give Millwoe a savaging 😁.

4.) 22 Mar 2019 17:29:24
8 games is loads - if we win all of ours we will be up almost guaranteed but can we win all of ours?

26 Jan 2019 20:24:24
What are the chances of sacko coming back and bub creating a superstar for us?

1.) 26 Jan 2019 20:37:09
The same as the number of likes you’ve got for this post Wex. Zero. 😉
Being serious tho, you might be right! Sack was another “worker”, but lacking decision making skills. Maybe Bub can teach that too!

2.) 27 Jan 2019 01:30:05
I wish Bub could turn him into a better player. I always liked Sacko, pace to burn, willing to take players on, just making a pass always seemed to be beyond him.

3.) 27 Jan 2019 08:05:27
Staffy He didn't even understand the meaning of the phrase "square it".

4.) 27 Jan 2019 12:31:09
He wasn't too brilliant at shooting either, sadly.

5.) 27 Jan 2019 16:21:34

Thought I'd give you a 👍 just to "stir" it up a bit. 😁

6.) 27 Jan 2019 16:27:21
Wex To answer your question, about the same odds of an English newspaper not printing the word "Brexit" during next week's publications.

7.) 27 Jan 2019 21:02:52
Damn you Tewit! My post is now null and void! Like my attempts at doing the pools!

11 Jan 2019 22:27:46
Casilla coming next week?

1.) 12 Jan 2019 04:59:59
Uncle Google tells me that world rankings for keepers has Courtois at 2 and Navas at 4. This being the case Casilla can be no. 3 at his club but still a VERY good man in goal.

2.) 12 Jan 2019 07:52:51
So as usual our signing is nobody that was linked by any of the papers. I’m not sure I’m even going to bother reporting any of these stories or links anymore as they are often just absolute rubbish.

3.) 12 Jan 2019 15:00:46
Till the club announced a signing then don't believe it :)

4.) 12 Jan 2019 22:25:37
Alf there's no need to report potential signings.
Im pretty sure most lads realize there are other sites out there, other than this wonderful thing, who report rumours, imminent signings and done deals regarding transfers.
Thanks for the information and apologies for the sarcasm. MOT.

5.) 14 Jan 2019 13:16:32
hmm - that's the main purpose of this site though innit Corky?

Too those who ask why I don't rate Radz I ask 1 question would the vile Ken Bates given the position we were in in January have sat on his hands the way Radz did.

1.) 11 Jun 2019 10:57:06
No, the vile Ken Bates would of sold Pablo, Roofe, Pontus, Jack and countless others. Your comparing Hitler to Theresa. I can't stand Hitler or May, but I know who's worse.

2.) 11 Jun 2019 10:59:45

Master Bates would have sold all of our players in the Jan window for a pittance to line his own pockets - then 'replaced' them with cheap journeymen. At least Radz didn't sell our brightest talents even though he failed to strengthen the squad.

3.) 11 Jun 2019 11:07:21
The answer is we don’t know and we will never know Wex! Also, does it really matter now? Not sure it answers the question why you don’t rate Radz because you didn’t rate him before Jan either. For me Jan is more complicated than that. We would have to have bought a player or players that Bielsa really wanted and that he thought would fit his style of play pretty quickly or immediately . Not sure that was ever going to be a long list! I’m more inclined to go with George and James was the one that got away, Bielsa would have played him and could have made a real difference. Don’t think Radz sat on his hands because he probably thought he had done enough because the lad was in Leeds ready to sign, but he didn’t secure the player, therefore he got it wrong.

4.) 11 Jun 2019 11:13:13
The fact is that we would’ve never been in that position under Bates .

5.) 11 Jun 2019 11:44:39
Bates is the devil and should never be let near ER again.

6.) 11 Jun 2019 11:54:00
Wex, sometimes you open yourself up to some huge backlashes

I understand your frustrations that your dads legacy has never been truly appreciated, but come on, Mr Bates was never one to put his hand in his pocket whether it was Leeds or Chelsea

Btw, wish your dad all the best and hopefully be us enjoying the good weather in Monaco at the moment.

7.) 11 Jun 2019 13:33:18
Pmsl axe.

8.) 11 Jun 2019 13:53:54
Axe it's father in law.

9.) 11 Jun 2019 14:25:24
can you get some of his cash Wex and buy the club?

10.) 11 Jun 2019 17:42:13
Wex, lmao, I hope your wife takes after the lovely Mrs Bates and not her pug-ugly husband.

11.) 11 Jun 2019 19:45:57
It's not Mr Bates it's Mr Cellino my missus is Elenora Cellino. Google you won't be disappointed.

12.) 11 Jun 2019 22:01:29
Wex That were true, you wouldn't be posting as much. I certainly wouldn't. I'd be deep sea diving.

08 Jun 2019 11:30:08
Does anybody see the second half of last season as catastrophic. A collapse of epic standards Bielsa and co didn't seem to be able to cope with what was happening very much like TC the season before. Yet he seems to be untouched by the fan base. The players that performed so well in the first half of the season got none of the credit and Bielsa got none of the blame when it all went wrong. I pray we don't start next season the way we finished. Can someone tell me why it shouldn't happen.

1.) 08 Jun 2019 11:57:59
I know what you are saying Wex, but I believe injuries and lack of investment from Radz in January was our downfall and reason for a poor second half.
I think Bielsa does deserve credit for the first half of the season, let’s be honest, he managed to polish a turd, it was basically the same team as the previous season that couldn’t muster 3 shots a game. He made them play the best football in 18 years or so.
I think with the break, the additional personnel required (that I guess is agreed in order for MB to stay another year) come in, and MB’s increased knowledge of the Championship, we should start well and be pushing for promotion again. Oh yes, the additional billions from Qatar will help as well!

2.) 08 Jun 2019 12:20:17
Wex, your a clever lad, it's a simple answer

Leeds generally have a decent first XI. In the first half of a season we are competitive against most teams, and our huge support gives us the 12th man

By the turn of the year those eleven players are starting to tire. The culmination of bookings is starting to reflect in the suspensions. Injuries are part and parcel of a competitive sport

So, by the turn of the year we are having to use tired first team players and/ or the second string players that lower the overall quality of the team.

It's just the way it goes. We are unfortunate that we haven't got a big enough first team pool yet

. and heres the thing loads of you posters out there say it's all the chairmanship fault. He should be buying this player or that player. Or it's the managers fault, he should have strengthened in the January window. Your always looking for a person to blame.

. loads of posters were having a go at Orta last year for not buying players for the first team but always buying for the reserves. But this season the U23s and U18s do brilliantly with those players and we are all, quite rightly, proud of their achievements

. now those U23s deserve promotion to either out first team squad (or loaned to league clubs to continue their development)

Edmundson, Halme, Wilks, Bogusz, Shackleton and Clarke have all now put their hands up for 1st team consideration. No quick fix, but all I see are improvements, upon improvements, upon improvements.

My 'glass of gaiety and light is fairly overflowing' as I sit here in the 'hot tub of hope'

Btw, Mr Radz, please stay. You are so much better a chairman than Mr Bates ever was, or those other grey men that leads us to division 1
And Mr Biesla, thank you for signing for another season and giving me so much to look forward to. I don't actually care if we are promoted just as long as you play that brand of football. I had a smile on for the whole week after each game I watched. Fan-bl00dy-tastic.

3.) 08 Jun 2019 13:53:11
Axe you can say what you want about lack of Investment and suspensions but Bielsa had a full squad to choose from with 6 games left.

4.) 08 Jun 2019 14:10:12
General, I fully agree and love the Avatar. Axe, again I concur, a top post. We'd, again I concur, Bielsa did have a full squad to choose from, but as the General said, he had already polished the turf and at the end of the day, a turf can only pass itself off as a gold nugget for so long. Bielsa sent them out on the pitch, they capitulated, not him, or Orta, or Radz. My humble opinion is that the current management team deserve some gratitude from us, having done a good job. It is some of the players who should be scrutinised more. Shocking individual mistakes cost us dearly at the end. Onwards n upwards. MOT.

5.) 08 Jun 2019 14:38:06
Don’t think that’s completely true! Douglas, Clarke, Alioski, Forshaw, Roofe (a few games)

6.) 08 Jun 2019 14:56:21
Wex, it’s one point where I think we are very much in agreement. I’m not sure anyone yet has really explained why things went wrong in the key games during the run in. We clearly had enough quality players and were in situations where we should have closed the games out against Wigan and Derby. You might spend a lot on players and then that might not happen but then again it still might if they are not the right type. For me it was about leadership on and off the pitch at key times in those key games. Cooper for me couldn’t deliver in those key moments, but apparently we still see him as a key piece of the jigsaw, Bielsa and Carlos couldn’t effect it from the sidelines, don’t know if lack of fluency in English is more of an issue at key moments. Hernadez, with all his experience seems to get dressed himself with the pressure and usually leads by example but not if he is over stressed or over tired.

I was always taught that you can’t put something right until you really understand what went wrong and way. It’s one of the reasons why I don’t think it is just about money.

7.) 08 Jun 2019 15:01:39
Axe, as you know, I agree with your approach. So much good stuff but everything couldn’t be fixed in one season and to be fair it hasn’t been for lots of other clubs who feel that they deserve to be in the premiership and have been there more recently than us. I am sure we are building something far better than we have seen for a long time, loads of positives, but have to keep learning and being committed to getting better . This year will show us how well, Orta, Radz and Bielsa can do that. I’m really looking forward to the season and the games. It’s a great time to be a Leeds supporter. Move over, open the champagne and turn on the bubble machine, I’m about to do a belly flop into the “ hot tube of hope”!

8.) 08 Jun 2019 15:30:04
Wex Only some mate, only some.

9.) 08 Jun 2019 16:31:13
lets be honest second half of the season was a joke, to fall out of first spot to not go up (only team to do so I beleieve) was poor, our form was relegation form (again I believe)

but let's be honest all season we was poor against poor teams millwall at millwall should of beat us. we were poor, loses to hull, blackburn, brum and qrp also poor. all these happened first half of the season.

all season we were soft touch for poor teams, this was not due to tiredness or injuiries it was due to tactics and lack of bottle.

I hope MB has found a way to break down tough teams who fit back and have a bit more steel about us in defence.

10.) 08 Jun 2019 16:53:08
The only surprise to me is that everyone is surprised that a Bielsa team fades away, back end of the season.

11.) 08 Jun 2019 17:18:54
Fair point Leodis and despite a “ joke” of a second half of the season and “ relegation form” and always being a “ soft touch” for poor teams, we missed out on automatic promotion by 7 points! If KP had been sold at Christmas, Harrison sent back to Manchester City and Beradi played in goal, we would have been champions by The end of March!

12.) 08 Jun 2019 17:44:16

No, not saying it can all be fixed in a season. Sorry if it read like that

I am just optimistic that the longer term approach that seems to be in place, will be a huge advantage to the club

I look at the squad that started last season and have seen really good youngster break in. And more good youngsters get on the bench.

I am loving supporting a club 5hat has a long term plan in place.

13.) 08 Jun 2019 21:20:38
“Full squad to choose from”. Credibility ends there I’m afraid. We were nothing like at full strength, and that’s what crippled our season.

14.) 08 Jun 2019 23:42:10
Lack of rotation killed us in the second half of the season.

15.) 08 Jun 2019 23:42:44
I kind of rate Bielsa. Didn’t realize he was second rate! Silly me. I suppose some prefer MCs managerial appointments?

06 Jun 2019 11:26:35
17 million for James Radz must puking.

1.) 06 Jun 2019 12:56:52
What happens when you don't understand the Welsh. Like prostitutes, they insist on money up front. If only I was Radz' advisor.

2.) 06 Jun 2019 15:12:35
Class George.

3.) 06 Jun 2019 18:14:12
Sounds like something you’ve encountered before George? And I’m not talking of buying a welsh footballer 😜.

4.) 06 Jun 2019 18:44:57
George uses bankers drafts.

5.) 06 Jun 2019 18:54:02
Man Utd spending £15m on James. Fan-bl00dy-tastic. I bet their fanbase are just drooling over such a high profile signing. They are definitely breaking in to the top 4 with that calibre of signing

Not being funny but I am sure Biesla had plenty more names within his PowerPoint presentation, but surely they were all under the "good Championship player with potential if we get promoted".

Surely he didn't have a file called "cheap as chips but could easily play in Europe"

6.) 06 Jun 2019 21:13:33
It could have been leeds making a 10 million pound profit. I don't see what is funny.

7.) 06 Jun 2019 22:08:31
Wex, we never bought him so how would we be making a profit. And if we did buy him why would we immediately sell him?

Jesus mucks, sometimes you are so obtuse

I am laughing because James is not the level of player a team trying to break in to the top four should be buying.

8.) 07 Jun 2019 00:44:01
TTIAO I've rented many developing Welsh talent before. I'm a good scout too with an eye firmly on the prize 😉🍆👅😁.

9.) 07 Jun 2019 05:21:04
There’s some good parking in Holbeck on match days George 😜.

10.) 07 Jun 2019 10:47:04
got to be honest axes post made me laugh as well, spurs linked with bale, city linked with cancelo and utd linked with James. bet chelsea are feeling better about there transfer ban now.

11.) 07 Jun 2019 14:58:59
TTIAO Is that an offer? TTIAO, now that's a mouthful 😉.

12.) 07 Jun 2019 14:59:53
Axe Irony is I actually do! A deposit for a deposit.

05 Jun 2019 17:10:28
Is there a take over or not. Anyone with information.

1.) 05 Jun 2019 18:16:06
Wex I have my theory on what's going on truthfully.

2.) 05 Jun 2019 19:29:38
Care to enlighten us George.

3.) 05 Jun 2019 20:04:38
No in usual style George will keep his so called ‘theories’ to himself and then when we find out will claim he knew all along.

4.) 05 Jun 2019 20:58:39
Wex Certainly, yes.
Alf What a dreadful thing to say.

5.) 05 Jun 2019 21:20:02
Wex Here's my take. Radz has by all accounts issued new shares to the Qataris late May ie after playoffs failure so I believe they already have a minor stake in the club. Bit of dilution but won't matter to shareholders once we reach the PL. Radz, in my opinion, made it clear to Qataris he wasn't selling his share so they'd have to be content with what he was providing in exchange for some funds of course probably to be used in the transfer window. The thing is the Qataris aren't taking no for an answer and have been pressuring Radz, almost "double-crossing" him is what I see. Equally, Radz has remained steadfast. So what do the Qataris do? They break the story and use their media connections. Radz then counters pouring cold water over the takeover with his own connections but in the local and regional press. In my opinion both stories are true (Qataris want Leeds but Radz ain't selling) but the real truth lies somewhere in the middle. To answer your question Wex, I see a takeover but a delayed one. Radz will hang fast for awhile but eventually will pass on the keys to the wealthier option. There'll be many commercial and tactical considerations to go into the deal and price payable such as recruitment success, league position, FFP but ultimately I see it happening just in 2020. I think we can safely say this will be Radz' final season as Chairman, whatever happens. He just doesn't have the pedigree football knowledge or the money to do a great job and propel us back to the big time. However, in a way that is his strength because he realized that and appointed Bielsa to peform wonders. Now he's staying it's no wonder Radz is being strongarmed into selling but my guess is the takeover talk will die down over the summer and then reignite in January.

6.) 05 Jun 2019 21:32:07
I reckon if the Qataris are determined they will get it. If they are prepared to spend 200m on a player, spending (let's just for example's sake) £80m on the Leeds brand, which has more longevity than a single player, Radz will sell. He payed £50m ish not that long ago, so making £20m+ is likely to be too good for a businessman to walk away from.

7.) 05 Jun 2019 21:50:04
My take is they are negotiating on the difference between the current value of the club about £100 million and the value as a premier league club say £250million. How much and how long it would take Rads to get there against the profit he would make. Rads is trying to quantify and negotiate on the potential and is he looking for premier league money for a championship club.

8.) 05 Jun 2019 21:56:44
Tory I think Radz is also looking for recognition, not just a profit.

9.) 05 Jun 2019 22:19:58
I concur George.

10.) 05 Jun 2019 22:21:05
1970 Not wrong at all. This is why I forecast delay.

11.) 05 Jun 2019 21:42:56
George's take on it would explain where the £11m came from a couple a weeks ago.

12.) 06 Jun 2019 07:34:24
Apparently they would have put in more than £11m, but that's all they could find down the back of the settee! 😂😂.

13.) 06 Jun 2019 09:42:01
Really interesting stuff! I know nothing! I don’t think it’s just about money, I really think Radz wants to lead the club to the Premiership, even if it involves more funding from others. However money talks and sometimes even though you might not want to sell your house yet, if the offer is crazy enough. I’d go with Georgie, but at least one year more, developing links and funding through the year and see where we are as we head into 2020!

14.) 06 Jun 2019 12:03:12
Interesting perspectives all round. Negotiation is a game to be played, with the end intention of satisfaction for both parties. This one has a long way to go, but I hope that QSI don’t walk away from the table. Think Leeds 70 has picked up the key point, in that Radz knows what we are potentially worth, and wants that be be reflected in the sale price. Also think George is correct, and this will drag on.

15.) 06 Jun 2019 15:14:11
If radz wants us in the Premier league he should sell.

16.) 06 Jun 2019 16:40:58
Will he take the money or open the box? The problem is that he obviously thinks he can do it! Might have something to do with almost doing it this year!

17.) 06 Jun 2019 18:46:52
Blowing it this year. More like.

18.) 06 Jun 2019 22:22:20
I think you can say both Wex, but you can’t blow it unless you are in with a chance of winning it and we were! That’s why there is the feeling that one more push will do it! We will see!

27 May 2019 13:21:02
Radz is delusional if he thinks we can go up with little or no investment. Surely if he sells now he will make a profit. If you haven't got the cash flow Radz let someone else do what is right for leeds.

1.) 27 May 2019 14:17:24
Wex, we got quite close this year! Defeats against Wigan and Derby cost us, not sure anyone can convince me that was just due to lack of investment! Not sure why you can’t see how in our best season for years he cannot think that he is able to do it! If he stays and produces a weak team that finishes mid table, how would that help him sell the club for a profit!

He is here because he wants to be and he believes he can take the club up. You might not agree with him, but he and his companies own the club!

2.) 27 May 2019 15:47:00
I totally agree Spanish, why does loads of money have to be spent to be successful .

3.) 27 May 2019 17:11:09
Are they the only 2 results that cost us. Come on Spanish your better than that. To claim 2 results cost us our best shout at promotion.

4.) 27 May 2019 17:29:45
Wex they are the two results that ended the season, even with the players we had we should have won both! It’s not just about money!

5.) 27 May 2019 17:42:19

In their effectiveness to our final period of the season

Wigan was a huge game 1-0 up against 10 men. we should have cruised it

Derby 2-0 on aggregate. we should have cruised it

Defeats earlier in the season were not as dramatic as we had time to overcome those lost points.
