Farke 1st manager to be sacked is looking a good bet.
Seeing as the 49ers doubt him and don't seem to be backing him.
1.) 14 Jul 2025 11:01:55
That's the spirit!
2.) 14 Jul 2025 12:24:22
Wex, what a load of bolxxxx. The 49s have always side swiped and signed people who aren't even spoke about, all this paper talk about missing out on every player is rubbish. Are we there yet cries the kid on the back seat, nearly son, but he doesn't know there's a 100 miles left and by the time he falls asleep and wakes up he's arrived.
Have patience Wex, it'll come good. ?.
3.) 14 Jul 2025 15:12:25
Wex well I hope your not right obviously but I tend to agree if linked with sergeant again, I would rather get Callum Wilson in and stick to what we have but I also agree with dougie2310, that Leeds are always linked to every one man and his dog but they re trying to do everything on the cheap so all big deals we pulling out of them, and trying the tanaka deals but it never works all the time as Leeds should know we lost 3 cracking players because we can t afford them yet smaller sides are picking them up.
4.) 14 Jul 2025 17:09:17
So long as we don't always end up withe dog and not the man.
5.) 14 Jul 2025 17:45:01
Who has stated that we're trying to do everything on the cheap? Where has this BS statement originated? It's purely based on foundationless media speculation. Who actually believes what is written in the British tabloids anyway?
6.) 15 Jul 2025 19:45:17
It’s not though is it mr bright white, any thing near 20 million at the moment we’re pulling away from them fact, as always Leeds linked to so much speculation, and linked to just about everything like always but surely you ve noticed when it comes to the actual deal Leeds miss out players move on to different clubs, and then word has it Leeds missed out on really good player, like they re already saying about diarra, we ve just got promoted and thought we had a fair bit of money to spend but if you can’t afford 35 million well somethings wrong it’s not like we’re. Liverpool league 200 odd million for worth but the smaller club as tossed us aside so if you don’t mind explain why you don’t think we’re cheap 4 players in30 million this is surely firing us to safety then please know something about football before commenting.
03 Sep 2019 22:15:40
Reading we made 27 million in player sales this summer.
1.) 04 Sep 2019 11:45:13
delicous!
10 Aug 2019 20:33:34
So much for youth getting a chance and as many said would have a big part to play this season. Dallas over shackleton have a feeling Dallas will start a lot of games in other positions over a youngster.
1.) 10 Aug 2019 22:47:08
I would like to see Gotts at right back instead of Dallas as i think he deserves to be there. Proper wing back who can defend. To be fair LUFC that was quite a passive post for Wex.
2.) 11 Aug 2019 09:32:30
I want to see alioski and Shackleton on either wingback role, they have more speed and will get forward more and create the space we need.
3.) 11 Aug 2019 12:46:05
hopefully Luke slots back and returns to form, Bazza LB + Ben +Liam centre, that IMO isvour strongest defensive lineup at the minute. can't wait to see Eddie as i have seen nothing about the lad only what i have read . But he sounds like what we need a attacking rocket.
4.) 12 Aug 2019 07:00:59
That’s a bit positive Chris, are you feeling ok?
5.) 12 Aug 2019 11:21:50
ha ha, had a run out with herself yesterday morning, so the joy was infectious i said i, d better start typing, ha ha, love to everyone on here 😂😂😂😂.
6.) 12 Aug 2019 15:02:14
Chirs Chris if it had that much impact you need to ask her, on our behalf to take one for the team a bit more often!
7.) 18 Aug 2019 09:12:45
I think Dallas has started the season well to be fair to him. It's a long season and Bielsa won't be afraid to throw any of the youngsters into the mix when needed. Hopefully we'll stay in the cups long enough to give some of the youngsters plenty of game time so they've ready when needed.
MM.
10 Aug 2019 17:47:48
Hope Eddie is the answer because bamford isn't.
1.) 10 Aug 2019 18:33:29
spot on wex pal, but be careful because you will be called a moan or clueless by lots on here who seem. to think everything is rosy . Same old same old soft as brown. stuff. in defence and can't score goals up front.
2.) 10 Aug 2019 22:06:00
Double whammy. Bamford is not very good and very unlucky.
08 Aug 2019 14:36:57
Any player of Value sold, no permanent player brought in to replace Smells like Radz last throw of the dice. Well so much for a 5 year plan Radz is a vulture fund came in got his money back sneaked Elland road into his pocket and gone a 3 year plan really.
1.) 08 Aug 2019 14:51:43
Well Phillips is staying and he could've demanded the biggest transfer fee. If Bates was still here, he'd have sold him for £250K!
MM.
2.) 08 Aug 2019 17:29:36
The players sold weren’t in MBs plans
Apart from Roofe
We go again Leeds.

In the words of Johnny Rotten. Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?
1.) 13 Aug 2025 14:27:33
Indeed wex. Not the players fault. Owners and management. If we don’t secure a top quality striker. Winger. Am and wing back before close. Might be worth a sit out.
07 Aug 2025 17:16:30
Lack of activity is killing me.
Feel we will have to offload some players before any more come in.
Trouble is nobody seems to lining up to take anyone. I fear unless we get some out no more will be coming in unless free or loan deals.
1.) 07 Aug 2025 17:26:09
Stay with it Wex, the stars will align.
2.) 07 Aug 2025 17:55:55
So much for the thesis that we signed good young players with Victory
Greenwood / Joffy/ et Al you wonder are they even Champo standard?
3.) 07 Aug 2025 18:36:41
A proper autopsy requires a body, window closed.
All the time there’s a pulse, however feint!
4.) 07 Aug 2025 19:24:52
Have to agree Chris. There is a bigger queue at the local chippy than clubs to buy some of Orta's signings.
5.) 07 Aug 2025 19:30:44
Fulham have submitted a bid for Ricardo Pepi from PSV… They clearly don’t view Muniz as their main No. 9 however they obviously don’t really want to let go unless a new striker comes in to challenge and eventually replace Jimenez.
If that player is Pepi and also if Atalanta are reportedly ‘struggling’ (take with a pinch of salt) , then the Muniz dream seems a lot more realistic. People forget we have actually had a £32m including add-ons bid rejected. Considering they are also looking at Sterling and Taremi and Chukwueze and… “Kevin”, could we not pull another Longstaff and potentially make the base payment £32m and then work from there in add-ons? In other words this deal is the only thing that will save us from insanity and Josh Sargent .
6.) 07 Aug 2025 21:05:17
Or we could get Kevin as well I will never tire of his majestic title.
7.) 08 Aug 2025 09:39:09
Market is quite quiet this week tbf. Not as many rumours, not as much confirmed movement. Still confident we will make the needed signings who are the right characters, and the right quality. Not done yet!
05 Aug 2025 10:23:54
Anyone looking at Sunderland with envy. Decisiveness with signings ie in get it done move on.
Back their manager with signings and a new contract.
Meanwhile we seem to dilly dally and get pipped to the post.
Farke getting the sticky end of the stick?
1.) 05 Aug 2025 11:39:50
It maybe looks and seems that way.
But we don't know what's going on behind the scenes and by all accounts, Sunderland appear to be paying slightly inflated wages and we won't.
2.) 05 Aug 2025 13:04:57
Much rather we buy the right person at the right price whenever it happens than overpay foe anyone just to get people in.
Time will tell if our and/ or their method is successful.
3.) 05 Aug 2025 14:55:12
For all their supposed speed in identifying and signing players, Sunderland have currently only signed one more player than we have - and if you consider that Enzo Le Fée’s ‘transfer’ was just making his move from last year permanent, they’ve actually added the same number of new players.
Five of those players are afcon qualified so could be missing for up to six league games (plus one FA Cup match) including the busy Christmas/ New Year period - potentially removing some of their better players for that period and putting additional strain on their remaining squad. Their hierarchy has clearly decided that it’s worth that risk to get those particular players. With the World Cup being in the same year, it’s possible Sunderland may not be required to release those players for afcon, and of course it is also possible that some could develop slight injuries before that tournament so as to avoid a call-up anyway. I guess it all hinges on how motivated the players are to represent their countries - previously Watford gambled on afcon players in 2021/ 22 and prevented at least one going - leading to player unrest etc, which contributed to their relegation that season. There were of course all sorts of other factors at play, and Sunderland would seem to have a far more stable club setup than Watford - but it will be interesting to see how the afcon dynamic plays out there this season.
4.) 05 Aug 2025 15:38:54
Great post Clu, had forgotten how many games players can potentially miss for AFCON but that’s even more significant for the smaller teams, squads.
5.) 05 Aug 2025 17:35:41
Sunderland are also giving their new signings Relegation release clauses in their contracts too. Chelsea are demanding a Guaranteed play time in the contract for Sunderland getting Guiu on loan.
6.) 05 Aug 2025 19:43:29
I suppose in essence, teams could already be down theoretically by January, which is often case
So Mackems will need to accumulate rapidly.
7.) 05 Aug 2025 20:32:54
I agree but there is nothing coming out of ER nothing from Alf noth from LAD it’s gone quiet
If we get no one in we go down end of.
8.) 05 Aug 2025 22:18:14
And if we get the wrong ones in we are down end of, as well.
Oh yes and skint too!
It's going to be tough no matter what so let's hope for the right business to be done.
9.) 05 Aug 2025 22:22:52
I’m not quite envious Wex, well not quite yet anyway.
Sunderland have bought some very shrewd signings.
Young lads with great potential like Sadiki and Diarra but with some great experience in Reinildo and Xhaka.
Adingra looks a proper player too.
I wouldn’t have said no to any of Sunderland’s signings if I’m being honest.
Time for a striker and a midfield genius and another FB to take our transfer window from a 6/ 10 to a TEN.
10.) 06 Aug 2025 08:03:24
I agree with Corley.
11.) 06 Aug 2025 08:44:24
I agree with Morley.
12.) 06 Aug 2025 09:26:00
I agree with Burley.
10 Jul 2025 10:30:51
It's funny how we topped the league in money from transfers last season at well over 120 million.
Yet this season we have to be patient and low ball offers for players
We are now starting preseason.
Just saying I'm not wetting myself with excitement at our signings so far.
Can we please have some sort of signing indicating our intentions of staying in the top flight.
1.) 10 Jul 2025 10:36:56
Spot on wex. Nail and head.
2.) 10 Jul 2025 12:48:45
I remember Wex being a positive poster, who’s stole your account Wexy baby.
3.) 10 Jul 2025 13:16:13
Funny. Baz like post lad. Don’t agree with the positives deserve ridicule. Rather than debate.
Poor.
4.) 10 Jul 2025 14:20:37
If paying off the 'credit card' bill from the previous regime is funny, then yes, its hilarious.
5.) 10 Jul 2025 15:52:15
I think Sunderland have few credit card bills from previous regimes also.
6.) 10 Jul 2025 17:25:29
TBF Aus, I think LaD was genuinely joking, as opposed to a Baz jibe / dig.
7.) 10 Jul 2025 19:34:15
There’s pessimism, optimism and realism. I think Wex and myself are in the latter.
We need a marquee signing asap.
8.) 10 Jul 2025 20:42:21
Surely only pessimists and optimists alike believe they are the true realists tho, Corkey? ???.
9.) 10 Jul 2025 21:42:26
Jaysus that must mean everyone on here is a realist!
09 Jul 2025 10:45:39
Can we survive in the premier league with signings costing between 5 and 15 million.
It seems like that's the plan.
1.) 09 Jul 2025 10:54:00
Good to read you Wex - hope you are well. Spending a fortune doesn't necessarily mean a player will work out and vice versa. If the underlying scouting and data is good there are bargains to be found - look at AO last season only £3m. We will be making larger bids also for selected players.
2.) 09 Jul 2025 11:45:12
That’s true Alf for sure we don t want them big money signings who walk around park like messi we want them to integrate into the team be part of team work hard earn they re pay signing big names don’t win you games just look at Chelsea spent fortunes still spending fortunes have nt got them anywhere as long as the team all work hard that’s what’s it about obviously we would like a couple of nice signings but it don’t give them the right to stroll around the park there s no I in team.
3.) 09 Jul 2025 12:05:42
Saving money on some areas so we can go massive on more important areas (striker, left-winger, goalkeeper)
22 Nov 2019 23:03:43
Is that sarcasm.
19 Nov 2019 16:38:16
Please please please please.
09 Aug 2019 10:06:08
Kinnear is fibbing.
03 Aug 2019 17:59:03
Roofe is going cos radz won't pay him what he's worth.
02 Aug 2019 09:06:07
Obvious Radz is running it down you mean.
13 Aug 2025 11:48:07
I feel vomit in the back of my throat.
10 Jul 2025 16:17:37
Live in fear and we will live in the championship.
10 Jul 2025 15:52:15
I think Sunderland have few credit card bills from previous regimes also.
26 Feb 2025 13:44:35
Any stat on how many points meslier has saved for Leeds. Some crucial saves at points kept us in games with good saves a fair few times this season.
21 Feb 2025 13:06:37
Without doubt mels has saved us more points than he has lost.
