Right lads, I have some straight from the horses mouth, genuine information for you…. Leeds United recruitment had decided before the transfer window opened that we were not interested in AFCON players, maybe one but no more than that, and the one being a player who we have plenty of cover for, but only if a mega special player.

Then we are predominantly looking at age 26/ 27 and below and of a good height over 6Ft. We are also targeting a mix of premier experience and European football competition experience.

We are also targeting players that show great stats, this is a 49ers priority and a DF priority.
Both parties have been examining Leicester, Southampton and Ipswich’s weaknesses last season, how they scored goals and how they conceded goals. They have examined the midfield weaknesses from those 3 teams plus strengths.

All of the above are still being examined as our recruitment look for further transfer targets. A lot of the targets has been clickbait and in truth we have only lost 2 of our targets, one of them due to a clause in Sunderland’s contract that will let them go on relegation from the premiership which we will not include in any contract as the 49ers will not let anything happen like it did last time we were relegated!

We have got 6/ 7 players targeted, one is Muniz and one is Aaron Ramsdale, but the others are press speculation. We have players in mind and the 6/ 7 is on top of what we have already recruited.

This is all from a man who knows, who works within the walls of Elland Road and is a good friend of mine. Let’s see what happens, if it’s all rubbish I will never buy him and his wife lunch again! lol ? The futures bright, the future's white ????.

1.) 16 Jul 2025 07:16:08
We're not after Ramsdale, the main keeper targets are already out there (Zentner, Milinkovic-Savic, Perri)

Ramsdale would cost more than any of them but he's the worst of the lot.

2.) 16 Jul 2025 08:07:21
Well Woodster rings true to me and makes perfect sense, pretty obvious Diarra was the AFCON player as we did not put in a bid for Sidiki, cheers dude ?.

3.) 16 Jul 2025 08:15:08
That fits in with the profile of players we have so far recruited-age, non AFCON, physicality.
Hopefully we get the keeper, striker, no.10 and more cover at FB if Schmidt is not wanted.

4.) 16 Jul 2025 09:24:50
Cheers Woody - good intel.

5.) 16 Jul 2025 09:25:52
Sorry Borat I must of got it wrong then ?‍♂️.

6.) 16 Jul 2025 15:41:54
We was definitely looking at all 3 South Africans mr vidlufc, diarra, sadiki, and melic diouf, all 3 nice players so har another look.

09 Jul 2025 18:13:28
Third bid rejected by Newcastle for Longstaff and Wet Sham lose Kudos, Wet Sham looking weaker by the day and their fans should be worried ? Burnley, Wet Sham and Wolves for the drop! ??.

1.) 09 Jul 2025 19:07:27
When we signed Nmecha out of the blue on a free, Bijol at a lower fee than expected and Bornau for a relatively small fee things looked fairly good. Ok, Gudmonson came for £10m but that wasn't to be unexpected for an established FB.
Sunderland, however, have made the decision to splash the cash and have already spent over £100m. It might turn out to be a waste of money but their view is you go in for the player you want, pay the fee with limited haggling and work on the basis that staying up will make it worth it financially.
We seem to be in a Trumpian situation that we want the deal more than the result. There can't be much between selling club's valuations and our offers. If we want the player maybe we should just pay the difference, get them signed and move on to the next one.
There were rumours that we had £120m plus to spend. To date we've spent 25%. Hopefully the remaining £90m are going to be spent fairly soon on the right players in the right positions.

2.) 09 Jul 2025 21:05:42
The problem I can see dunes is loads of teams starting to mess Leeds about now I don’t know who s in charge of transfers but we are getting a right pasting at the moment, 1 one longstaff first of all was between 8/ 10 million now Leeds third offer is 10 million with 2 million add ons turned down again he’s not even with that Leeds got to walk away 2 nd Everton have had Harrison for 2 seasons on loan and the cheek of it now is they ll take him again but on a free yet Leeds paid 25/ 26 million for him 3 rd we got gasped by a small Sunderland team for 2 players that only Leeds were linked with come on its starting to be a bit tedious now like you ve said done well so far let’s not spoil it now pull out of longstaff deal or we ll be paying well over the odds get stach in if you want him buy him if they re saying 20 million you can’t offer 8 million no wonder teams are walking away from Leeds come on guys sort yourselves out.

3.) 09 Jul 2025 21:52:42
So far Leeds are trying to get players on the cheap.
Instead of getting players who they should they are focusing on players near the end of their contract to wrangle a deal and even that’s not working!
I’m getting seriously worried now.

4.) 09 Jul 2025 22:40:50
Same as me corkey, they have some kind of structure and will not pay over but how you going to stay in the premiership with that can’t be done I know we ten times bigger than Sunderland but they doing alright like we ve fancied stach for ages now but they report loads of teams in now they won’t take anything lower than20 million well in the first place his price was 13/ 17 million and also with longstaff Leeds have had 3 bids turned down last 1 being 12 million but he was supposed to be worth 8/ 10 Leeds must walk away from that he s not even worth that money and like I ve already said his he better than we ve got sorry but no I don’t know seriously what are we doing pre season started Monday just gone we got some friendly s coming up must be able to get players in to see were we are.

5.) 10 Jul 2025 08:00:51
It has been alluded part of our strategy are players at end of contract as corkey says. Smart or tight is the question. Or both.

6.) 10 Jul 2025 08:00:58
JH - re your point on Stach’s asking price. If indeed it has actually gone up, I don’t think Sunderland paying top dollar for Diarra and Sidiki will have helped, with selling clubs probably now even more likely to quote inflated prices to Prem teams, even newly promoted ones - there was already a perception that the high broadcasting deals over here made Prem teams fair game.

7.) 10 Jul 2025 10:02:55
Very good point Cluey!

8.) 10 Jul 2025 13:40:51
Yes alright there I totally agree but Leeds cannot get carried away and pay fortunes over the top, it’s like with longstaff, Newcastle wanted between 8/ 10 I heard that’s about fair but now upped their price price to 15 million, Leeds must walk away he didn’t play hardly any football last year, couldn’t get in team and is he better than we ve got amps or tanaka I doubt it pull out now there’s got to be better out there for 15 million, this is why we just must believe in the Leeds utd hierarchy.

9.) 10 Jul 2025 21:25:12
He’s literally a nobody! No idea get him back in the academy and employ someone with decent contacts decent knowledge and an understanding of how to close a deal…. If we sign anyone of worth I will revoke my comment.

What a load of in Whitemans words ‘Malarky’ it’s got nothing to do with them it’s a misdemeanour so wind your neck in EFL and the journo’s bloody idiots, what is illegal is fraud which is what the linesman and ref from Tuesdays match should be charged with, impersonating an official ??.

Come back Whitey pal. We miss your malarkey.

11 Apr 2025 15:50:07
All rumours are going around about this illegal gambling done by some foreign players and our very own Junior Firpo! Well, first of all it’s not on football it’s a poker site, and yes it’s illegal but it only comes with a €250 fine, that’s it! Now because the FA and other football authorities want a bite it’s now being said that it’s a suspendible offence.

Woodster67

1.) 11 Apr 2025 18:47:26
Now why does that not surprise me.

2.) 11 Apr 2025 19:46:44

So it comes out today on Sky News that employers are allowed not to employ candidates who support a football team that does not fit in with the office harmony! So if you went for a job in Preston and the office had Preston supporters in it and you were a Burnley fan then the employer has the right to say no to you no matter how qualified you are, the reason they are allowed this is because of the upset, disharmony and angst in the office on match days!

Woodster67

1.) 12 Sep 2025 07:51:02
Oh well, didn't want that job in Manchester anyway ?.

2.) 12 Sep 2025 08:03:21

3.) 12 Sep 2025 08:08:24
Please tell me that's a joke Woody?

Some of the funniest times at work have always been the banter between rival fans:)

4.) 12 Sep 2025 08:18:32
Ridiculous to say the least Woody, but I can understand it to a degree regarding Burnley fans! ? ?.

5.) 12 Sep 2025 09:40:55
That’s crazy banter is what football is about. I loved being the only leeds fan surrounded by wall… it builds character and is funny.

6.) 12 Sep 2025 10:38:08
I once told a Man U supporting colleague that I couldn't be biased against them because I didn't mind who they got beaten by.

MOT News headline……, .

Daniel Farke should be sacked and Nuno Espirito Santo appointed

The German did a good job in the Championship, but before the season even began this time round, concerns were raised over Farke’s record in the Premier League.

Calls were made for him to be sacked after promotion, though Paraag Marathe insisted that Farke would remain in charge.

Farke’s Premier League record

52 games
Seven wins
36 losses
30 points

At the time, it seemed nonsensical, but after Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked at Nottingham Forest, an opportunity of a lifetime has emerged for the Whites.

Ruthless decisions have to be made to secure survival, and it is no different with Farke.

If Nuno were willing to take the job, the 49ers should sack Farke on the spot and bring the former Forest manager to Elland Road.

According to the Daily Mail, Leeds considered hiring Nuno just two years ago, and now could be their chance to strike and secure a massive boost to their survival hopes

?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️.

Woodster67

1.) 10 Sep 2025 06:00:17
The Daily Snail, its sports journalists have always enjoyed rubbing controversy and the dirt into our club, they’ve done it for as long as I can remember, especially to rattle the Leeds Utd fan base.
We never made any advances for Nuno before either!

Best ignored all together is my opinion.

2.) 10 Sep 2025 06:26:25
Et tu brute? ?‍?.

3.) 10 Sep 2025 07:42:43
Hate this farke isn’t good in premier leauge narrative

He never had a chance at Norwich anyone with half a brain can tell that.

Narrative should be record breaking leeds manager has 4 points from nine after difficult start. let the season roll on

Time will tell if farke can do it in the prem with leeds but history proves nothing.

4.) 10 Sep 2025 08:47:03
MOT News, your home of everything Leeds, whose Exclusive pundit is, surprise surprise, Paul Robinson. Explains why they stabbed DF in the back I guess.

5.) 10 Sep 2025 08:50:08
Completely agree Bermo. Farke may turn out to be a Premier League Manager Maestro, we simply don’t know, all we have to go on is his tenure at Norwich with a squad that cost about £3.80.

Let’s give it a go and if he fails then, we all have the right to question, demand change and criticise.

Nobody has their annual appraisal at work to be told they have done a world class job, to then be fired because someone else has become available, having been sacked from their last job ?‍♂️.

6.) 10 Sep 2025 08:51:22
It's been going pair-shaped at Forest for a while now; they have secured 15 points from their last 14 EPL games, so Nuno's return is essentially not as good as Farke's current points per game. [Tongue in Cheek comment].

I wish folks would just give it a rest re changing the manager.

Glad to see Ange back though - he's entertainment, on all fronts.

7.) 10 Sep 2025 09:24:36
Think history has been shown to actually prove everything that’s happened in the universe since records began, good and bad.

For myself, I’m not convinced in this situation, with our current squad that Nuno could get anymore out of the team than DF will deliver, given the history with many of the players.

Think it was OP posted, and I would fully agree that should Glasner or Iraola become available, then 100% yes it would be sorry Daniel thanks for everything.

8.) 10 Sep 2025 09:48:02
You may have a point re Farke and the history with the players class.
The squad isn’t good enough to survive in my opinion unless we have an A+ January window. So really, Farke is going at some point anyway.
We struggled to find a replacement pre season so with one coming available. It will be being discussed I’m sure. Alf heard any sniffs?

9.) 10 Sep 2025 12:46:48
I feel for the Forest fans - replacing a manager who has achieved nothing short of a miracle in the last couple of seasons with one who flatters to deceive every time!

He may have won a European trophy with Spurs but let's face it. perm anyone of half a dozen of the WSL teams and they could have beaten Spurs and Man U for that Mickey Mouse Cup last year.

Time will tell with Farke, and if we are in the mire at Christmas (which I firmly believe we won't be) then, and only then, if Nuno is still around, we should make an approach.

10.) 10 Sep 2025 14:21:45
It does happen with some teams that aren’t in the elite bracket do overachieve for a particular season or even two. Forest already started spluttering towards the end of last season and the beginning of this season.
No different from Leicester’s title winning season where everything aligns plus some good fortune.
Ranieri got the sack not long after and clubs were not clamoring over themselves to make him their manager.
With Leicester then sliding down the slippery pole to the Championship.

For me Nuno’s short experience at Spurs explained enough to me that he’s an ok coach but not a brilliant one. Expecting his presence at Leeds to propel us into European football with sustainability is a bit mis guided in my opinion.
A bit of fantasizing if you like.

I don’t expect Farke to stay with us very long even if he avoids relegation, but for the moment he has created a good momentum which would be senseless or even just plain stupid to change right now.

11.) 10 Sep 2025 16:10:10
I tend to agree O/ P, he's a decent coach, but is he really a step up on Farke? He did well relatively with Wolves, but that was basically with the Portuguese national team playing for them!

Spurs, he never really got the chance, but generally struggled when he was there.

If anything Forest is a bit of an outlier; for sure he has done well, at least for a decent period, but then so did Steve Cooper. Their form over the last 3 or 4 months has been typical Forest [and long may it continue! ]

Beilsa took us to the brink of Europe with a pretty ordinary team, but no one could have forecast how it went for him, once teams sussed us out.

Ange started off brilliantly, but again once teams suss you out. A really good [top tier] coach adapts or a pretty [lucky] ordinary one can spend their way out.

12.) 10 Sep 2025 16:36:05
I have always thought Farke was like a one legged man trying to win an arse kicking contest keeping Norwich up. No investment to have any sort of a chance.

13.) 10 Sep 2025 17:49:12
Agree Bermo and Feath, personally I hope Farke proves all his detractors wrong. Some have very short memories to the string of useless managers warming the hot seat at Elland road before and after Bielsa .
Darko Milanic, Dave Hockaday, Uwe Rosler, Javier Gracia, Sam Allardyce. To name a few jems.
Let's beware what you wish for.

And for Farke sake give the guy a chance!

14.) 10 Sep 2025 18:36:23
I have liked all of those posts, and have nowt to add! Great thread! That is all. Carry on!

15.) 10 Sep 2025 20:11:50
Exactly a one legged man in a kicking contest with a squad worth 3.80 which I think is over pricing it by about 1.65

Yet people want him out and it is due to a phycologic deep rooted bias called second wife syndrome against the man who out classed the first wife beilsa who farke out classed head to head with Norwich and then did better at leeds with a weaker hand

Also anyone read the reports, it’s come out (and is official) company’s house leeds books have stated we were over 250 million in debt from players sales when 49ners took over

Again this can’t be falsified, now a small percentage is under marshe but majority was under Belisa as I said all along. He was backed with time and money and failed now give the better manager farke a chance.

16.) 10 Sep 2025 21:03:26
?all we are saying, is give Farke a chance?.

17.) 11 Sep 2025 00:18:24
I personally think both managers are similar. Stubborn and one trick ponies. But bielsa was humble and united a city where as Farke isn’t and hasn’t. But anyway. None of that matters really.
It’s all about now. His personality riles me a bit.
But it’s all opinion.
Mine. Rightly or wrongly he will be gone within 4 weeks.
The poster above was right. Only bielsa and Farke have been any good for over 5 years now. We have had crap managers. We just need one to keep us up. Maybe I’m not seeing what others do.
It is going to be very very tough for this squad to stay up. Three of our great signings have picked up injuries in the first three weeks.

18.) 11 Sep 2025 13:28:26
Interesting theory Berm! Of course our opinions on MB differ though thise on DF concurand. But I would point out that under the Marsch Monster Leeds spent £146.1 million which is a sizeable sum!

Woodster67

1.) 28 Aug 2025 12:56:28
Great impassioned piece Woodster! I would agree with all of that with a couple of adendums. Darrow yes, personally I would play Mes as number 2! JH I didn't want to see back but I can only presume the mantra of "prem experience" has seen him stay, Rama I am as bemused as any! Think there are players that can be rotated depending on the opposition, ie maybe games more suited for Struik than Bijol and vice versa. If you look at the games so far, the only concerning thing for me was how we played against Arsenal. You have to stick to your identity. Now we can't always attack like we did in the Champo, but we just kept passing back and immediately came under a strong press, you simply can't do that. Adapt to still play crisp passing football all over the pitch and try to hold a midfield press, keep them occupied. The only time we did this at the Emirates we nearly scored. I am confident it will sort itself, we started slowly the last 2 seasons. A good result Saturday, couple more players in, reset in the break and go again with passion, that's all we ask. UTWDTP.

2.) 28 Aug 2025 18:14:45
Nice piece Woodster.
We are of the same mind, regarding the keeper on Tues. Perri needs minutes, so why darlow is beyond me.
And ramazani has never failed to impress any time I've seen him play.
Him and Willy on either wing would terrify Prem defences.
And like we have both said, hopefully those in charge of theses matters have it all well in hand, otherwise we'll have to get a Power Point presentation together and show 'em how it's done!
MOT.

Great post Woodster!

28 Aug 2025 00:08:22
This season in The Premiership is the perfect season for Leeds United to avoid relegation.
This seasons Premier League has established weakened teams in it now due to the transfers of players.
Wolves have been stripped and are still getting offers for players.
West Ham, well they are weak and are on the ropes.
Brentford could struggle if Wissa goes as well.
Bournemouth, although they have signed a few they have lost some significant players.
Fulham, and Brighton don’t seem to be on the level either.
Add Burnley and Sunderland and you have 8 teams that are potential relegation fodder.
Leeds will never get a better season to survive and get more established next season.

Woodster67

1.) 28 Aug 2025 05:37:00
Don't forgot about Man U collapsing. They might not be relegation fodder, but there's easy points to pick off from an ex top 6 team.

2.) 28 Aug 2025 06:45:55
You forgot Man Utd in that selection of teams Woody.
It is true that due to the tightening of the PSR rules most teams now are having to abide by the rules rather than find loopholes to avoid it.
It can only help in the already extremely hard fight that promoted teams have to survive in the Premiership.

The financial divide between the two leagues has grown so much over recent seasons that I makes it almost impossible for the promoted teams to have any chance to compete in the Premiership. It may now give a small opportunity for those promoted teams a glimmer of hope to compete and stake a claim in the Premiership.
The greater odds are still staked against us but let’s hope that there’s at least one team that succeeds in survival and that team being Leeds United FC.

Is Covid back at Hillsborough? There’s plenty of room if anyone wants to join us, really really strange!
Just before the game we were all talking in the bar and someone told me that Greenwood has gone which I knew but what I didn’t know was that he was in £30,000 a week! WTF ? why ?‍♂️?‍♂️ I was very shocked at that!

Just to jog posters memories, remember CDK and the AC Milan saga, will he won’t he, transfer fee not met then they were then again terms were a problem, and all the time we were waiting in the wings putting to much hope on it all, it was said we were about to sign him then bang off he went to Milan where he did nothing. Same thing now happening with Paixio, so until it is all decided we cannot hold on to hope, if we get him great big we must carry on with other options. Once bitten and all that ??.

I tend to agree with OP regarding Meslier, he has had time to think and work hard in training which he has been doing, he also has not asked to leave, so it’s as if he wants another chance and maybe a break has helped him.
As OP stated he’s had a lot of negative feedback and while some was deserved, a lot of it wasn’t.
Anyway we will see and after Darlows calamity game at the Wendies maybe it’s time for a Meslier comeback ??.

What about this totally crap statement from within the corridors of power at Elland Road…. …….,

Although there is frustration over missing out on Wilson, Leeds are understood to be very happy with their business this summer.
The priority for the window was strengthening the spine of Daniel Farke's team for the Premier League return - and they managed to do that with plenty of time to spare by bringing in the likes of Anton Stach, Jaka Bijol and Lucas Perri.
Leeds have backed Farke to the tune of more than £100m this summer with 10 new additions. ?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️.

Absolutely abysmal that tonight lads, the lack of commitment to DF from the 49ers is poor to say the least.
Posters on here have said it’s because we are new to the Premiership and our relegation odds are high so that could put them off, fair point indeed, but when I see Bournemouth (who’s stadium holds a pittance to what Elland Road holds, and the fact that it’s not a big club like Leeds) , then sign Jimenez from AC Milan when we were after him months ago, it breaks me, I mean WTF is going on?
We seem very weak in the transfer market, we don’t seem to be dominant enough, we don’t seem to be able to sell the Leeds United project, never mind the dream!
Why are we being bullied out of deals and then why do we totally miss the boat when it comes to getting a deal over the line?
Chelsea’s Delap got injured so they got back their other striker from Sunderland who was on loan there, Chelsea paid the Mackems compensation but it still left Sunderland short, but within 48hours they had a £21.7M replacement signing over the line plus 2 others, for me they deserve to stay up, whereas for me, we don’t.
Are the 49ers deliberately trying to force Daniel out of the door? It looks like it to me, why, well for me DF is not high profile enough for their ego!
We just never get the owners we deserve do we, we always get those with an agenda don’t we? Bloody sick of it I am as many of you on here will be.
All we want is somebody to own us and feel the way we supporters do about our club.
Today has been a disappointing day, if DF pulls this round then he does deserve a bloody statue outside the gates, but I don’t think he will be with us much longer.
Always Leeds, MOT and ALAW ??.

Not one mention on Sky Sports about Leeds after our demise yesterday to Wendies, it’s all about Manchester United getting beat and Amorin on his way, then Potter at Wet Sham, Russell Martin at Rangers, Rodger’s at Celtic, Nuno at Forest etc etc, we are definitely out of the spotlight now! ????.
