I've just been in The Peacock and been told Aaronson due in for a medical at Elland Road tomorrow and KP not going anywhere, along with a gorgeous pint, now that's what I call a bloody good evening πŸ‘πŸ‘.

My prediction, for which I will throw myself on a sword if wrong, (Bermo style. I. e. won’t) is that Kal will be with us all of next season, but leave next summer, to gain the high level success that he deserves.

I see Massimo has been linked with Pep Clotet again as his manager, does no one ever learn about being manager of a club owed by Massimo? I grateful we had him as he pointed us in the right direction but thank god he's gone eh! He's a liability πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

1.) 27 May 2022 21:05:31
Erm it's a no brainer. Sign a 3 yr deal, get fired after 4 months and pocket a good pay off for the rest of the contract. Why wouldn't you?

2.) 28 May 2022 08:55:22
I’m waiting for my turn as a Massimo Manager!

2.) 27 May 2022 18:15:21
Finished last☺😫😫😫.

3.) 27 May 2022 19:34:43
That’s me finished with picking horses just for names! It actually started at 12/ 1 yesterday and it ended up 18/ 5 favourite, how did that happen?! bloody con men these trainers and jockeys, nothing like our upstanding and honest football club owners! LolπŸ‘πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

So here's my take, and please remember it's only my opinion and open for discussion! News that Harrison is wanted by Newcastle, well I don't think it would be that bad a move if he was sold, he's had a lot of no shows this season and some very bad games although some good ones that helped us but I think he reached his peak with Bielsa and we have to many wingers! Raph will be going and fair enough, he does sulk a bit and he's very volatile but in the same breath a complete game changer but he's Barcelona bound so get him gone and use the money wisely! Then there is one of our own KP, he is one I don't want to see go but, another one who I think has reached his peak at Leeds but if he went to Liverpool he is a player that could develop a lot like Milner, I really don't want him to go but would it be that bad? especially again if we use this money wisely! Roberts and Firpo need to go but unfortunately the latter is in JM's plans, so where we go with that god only knows! If we could get around the Β£150 Million mark for Raph, KP, Harrison and the Β£2.00 we get for Roberts we could put that to really good signings, with Summerville, Helde, Cresswell, Dramah, Sam, and Joffy complementing the mix. Maybe it's time for the big change, new faces, new era and quite possibly great times ahead for us all. It will be sad to see some go but it could do is the world of good. πŸ‘πŸ‘ I'm up for a fantastic new season with good quality signings, I think the future is bright for the mighty whites 🀞✊✊.

1.) 25 May 2022 14:42:48
I think Harrison has been one of our better players and with a better midfield and supply would have done even better. If we sell at all I would expect Β£50mil or more based on his goals, abilities and age. Personally I would hold on to him.

2.) 25 May 2022 14:45:56
Bit ambitious to think we'll get Β£2 for Roberts.

Woody - the Club hierarchy have previously said they want to follow the Leicester model. Leicester’s approach has only seen one major departure each season since 2016/ 17 - being Kante, Drinkwater, Mahrez, Maguire, Chilwell - with no-one significant being sold this last season, though Wes Morgan retired.

This is a sensible approach, with the funds raised for these major players being reinvested to bring quality replacements and reinforcement elsewhere within the squad, while minimising any disruption to the squad dynamics etc.

Allowing both Raphinha and KP to go this summer wouldn’t be following that model. While many have pointed to KP not being as effective in Marsch’s preferred narrow formation, Jesse has said that his coming here for the last 12 games (rather that in the summer as he’d have preferred) has enabled him to better understand what is necessary to be successful next season, and I’m hoping this means he’s realised that more width is required- as was done in the first match (which we should have won at Leicester) and last 2.

Selling Harrison in addition would mean losing our top 2 scorers from this season. When you consider that the Club may well be open to offers on Rodrigo (which many supporters would welcome) , who was our 3rd top scorer, and that Atalanta are apparently interested in James (4th top scorer and top for assists) , we could be looking at a major disruption to the squad. Yes, we would see replacements - though not necessarily like for like positionally - depending on formation/ tactics - but with necessary other additions to upgrade on some aging squad members etc it would likely take quite a while to build relationships/ understandings on the pitch etc.

Significant changes are needed, but the Club really need to focus on upgrading where the current squad is weak, while not losing too many of its strengths.

{Ed001's Note - Leicester also completely ignored FFP regs while in the Championship to build a Prem squad before they got promoted. Leeds are not in that position and need to invest first to be competitive before they can run like Leicester did.}

Woody, Harrisons goal returns are improving each season. you don't sell a proven EPL 8 to 10 goals (when he has at least 3 years left on his contract ) a season player when you are a team struggling to score goals.

5.) 25 May 2022 17:38:31
Just read that Barcelona want to loan Raph with the option to buy. Either they are crazy or we will be if we agree to that!

6.) 25 May 2022 19:51:24
Every player has a price. To me Harrison very inconsistent although I must admit his goal scoring record very good this season and even last. Spurs bid over 40 mill and were that cash to be reinvested it’s a no brainier. The lads a good player and I’d be happy if he stayed but with all his talent he should be offering so much more on a weekly basis.

7.) 25 May 2022 21:17:56
Harrison is 'consistent ' on the most important things : scoring and assisting goals ( 16 in total last season 12 this season) which kept Leeds from the abyss of R

Why sell a proven performer and with the extra risk of his replacement not producing? πŸ€”.

8.) 25 May 2022 23:26:21
Excellent posts in this thread. Harrison must stay unless truly silly money come in such as Β£50M+. Cluey, I think selling both Raph and KP the right move. They both leave simultaneously but we ought to be Β£135M better off.

9.) 26 May 2022 08:46:42
Your probably right Baz. He does frustrate me at times but the stats are decent.

Just for a change that really was an enjoyable Match Of The Day last night! Woke up this morning feeling good and opened my apps to see all the pics and write ups from yesterday which sets you in good stead for what will be a wonderful day. Sorry but no apologies to Burnley fans because we have had some luck due for a long long time and to a degree we got it, but we were good yesterday, we fought hard and wanted it and with a little Lady Luck we got it. It's now time to celebrate but it has to be a lesson learned or there is no point to it all. Non of us want to feel like that again, I know I've aged even further since yesterday, so please board do the right thing, it's nice to see we are on the cusp on signing Arnesson (spelling not right I know) but please don't sit on just that, let's crack on and get it right this time. There are lots of ups and downs being a Leeds fan but I wouldn't change my team, we are all unique supporters, there's non like us, so let's be having the support we deserve from the board, it's down to you now! Have a great summer posters and enjoy waiting for the 2022/ 23 fixtures to come out because WE ARE STAYING UP! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘.

1.) 23 May 2022 08:31:15
Yep definitely no apologies to Burnley,

Leeds showed up, no bottling and have throughly deserved the win

as for Eddie Howe and his Newcastle team continue to feel pleasantly surprised and grateful by their approach to yesterday's match.

Congratulations to all the posters on here and I'm not being funny to anyone in particular as everyone is entitled to an opinion but most of all well done to all of you believers on here. Just for a change it's our day and our time! OP, Class, Brightwhite, Alf and many others have kept the dream alive on here, thanks lads πŸ‘πŸ‘ your optimism has been rewarded πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘MOT. The futures bright, the futures white! ❀️.

1.) 22 May 2022 18:37:41
Absobloodylutely Woody! Relief is not a word that remotely covers it.
Big summer ahead! Clear the decks, and some fresh blood in key positions. Kal will now stay, and if Rapha does go, we can name our price! On, on, on lads!

2.) 22 May 2022 21:50:26
Personally Woody I’d rather these people who try and drag a club down eff off with their negativity.

Totally agree with you Sweaty, I can guarantee right now that if LUFC had behaved in this way we would be held accountable within hours of doing it but clubs like Barcelona, City, man utd, PSG and other big knobs get away with it every time. It’s a disgrace and completely unfair on our club and Raph! Good post mateπŸ‘πŸ‘.

100% with you there George, if the sale of Raph can bring us in 3 quality additions then it will be worth it. We have a lot of rebuilding to be done and done in the right way will pay dividends πŸ‘πŸ‘.

Really good post George and I would agree with you fully. I also think he is so overwhelmed by our support and the euphoria of winning that comes with it, plus managing in the Premier League has all accumulated in him feeling very humble while at the same time extremely excited. There is no doubt he is a good man and not just with us for a big payout or using us as a stepping stone, I think he would like to be with us for a long time. There are a few saying he is too romantic with his footballing dreams but if it makes him a winner then go for it, they also say he is a weak manager because there is no player - manager divide as such, well I like that, he maybe doesn’t have the Klopp effect as of yet but the players seem to warm to him well and unlike MB he seems a lot more approachable. It is also nice for the supporters to have a manager that speaks English even if it is American English! I hope this is the start of something exciting πŸ‘πŸ‘MOT.
