You don’t negotiate that with the player. That’s something you negotiate with their next club. Unless he’s getting part of the transfer fee. Don’t believe this. Not to say he won’t sign a new deal but the sell on clause thing is definitely wrong.

MBTN Too true. I think the op may have got confused over terminology. KP representatives probably insisted on a "transfer trigger" clause as in if a high enough bid comes in Leeds must sell. They may also want an escape if promotion is not secured come May 2020 but at end of day Leeds will want top £ to sell.

Top 6 basically means 5/ 6th as the top 4 are streets ahead. Looking at who is above is I don’t think it’s a particularly good bet in all honestly and would need bigger odds to tempt me into that.
With your obvious of Chelsea and Arsenal and with teams like West Ham pushing to get into top 4 puts us at best 8th. Villa are having a barn storming season and will be up there. Southampton have dropped recently so we could end above them. Then you have the likes of wolves below us who surely will eventually start picking points up again
All in all, no I wouldn’t fancy Leeds @ 18/ 1 to finish in top 6.

I think it's definitely worth a punt. Most teams above us are under pressure to finish in the top six, whereas we can play without fear as nothing is expected of us.

Been lucky enough to be at ellend Road today. Heck of a lot of work being done. New drainage around the outside of the pitch. Pl have said we need to move the platforms for the cameras as it's not good enough for them. Also the dug out isn't allowed to be lower than the pitch so that's being raised. Plus the presenters box is too small so that's being widened. From what I've seen these changes will lose a few seating for these to work. With only a few weeks left lots to do there.

It's very disingenuous when we have radz + Orta + Kinnear tell us squad is good enough . We clearly are a bit short of competition in key places . Dare I say lack of competition can breed a degree of complacency . But equally even if there are signings how long will it be before they are classed as (bielsa ready ) .?
So hope we strengthen but as we all know even that's not guaranteed . Huge match now next where to have win even improves team psychology that indeed this is going to be the year FINALLY .

Strengthen but acknowledge it is for March onwards. Going to take that long to get up to speed with Bielsa but doesn’t mean it won’t be worthwhile - that is when the wheels really came off last year. And they will be ready for peen next year then even if the are only useful for 6 weeks this season.
