I have just read that Mark Hughes is classed as a front runner for the job,

god i've just brought my tea up. {Ed013's Note - This makes me feel ill}

1.) Can't see that being a good appointment at all if it's true. I'm all for Poyet or McDermott, give them 3 or 4 years to really get something going. To me, they would get much more out of the good crop of youngsters coming through in that time than Hughes ever would. Hughes would probably throw in the towel anyway after a while and try for something that came up in the premier league.

2.) If GFH have anywhere near the level of interaction with the fans that they claim to, they would never make that appointment.

Let's just hope they don't do it anyway.

3.) Have you ever seen a bank, MP or utility company listen to their customers??

Sadly I fear the same will be said of GFH

I think most of us are missing the point of transfer deadline day, I realise we didn't get anyone but more to the point who did we get rid of, we still have colin's failures bleeding the club.

"Every player's first question is 'do you play in the Champions League or not?' That is the first requirement.
This is a quote from Arse Wenger, maybe this is why we are having difficulties signing Sharp, CMS etc and found it so easy to sign the likes of Seth Johnson and Frank Strandli.

1.) Some of the old players used to make me cringe watching them, strandli laurel was one. Molenar etc etc. have to laugh now though

2.) Molenar?. How dare you call The Terminator. He was a proper centre half. Next you will be saying Roque Junior was a world cup winner!. what?he was?. never!

McCormack says: "If I'm going to go it's going to be their (the club's) decision. It's not going to be my decision."
This tells me that the club want to sell and have stated this behind closed doors.

Been to the game today and called for a few bevvy's afterwards so got home a bit later than usual, however I went straight onto this site and looked down all the comments from fans who were there, fans who watched on tv and fans who couldn't do either, I am amazed how different people's perspective are on each player
ie- Poleon was c**p, Poleon was brilliant
Ross was rubbish, Ross got MOTM
Rudy was all over, Rudy was amazing
These are all comments taken off this site alone, every person is allowed their own views and comments but what we have to realise is we are all here for one thing alone and that is LUFC, get behind the lads on matchdays ladies and gents, we haven't got the money some clubs have but one day the dream will return.

As much as I would like Red Bull and their money i'm not so sure about the naming rights, if they wish to sponsor ER then so be it, it will be probably a 7 year deal at the most and then be up for grabs to the highest bidder again which again can only be good for the club, however after doing a little bit of research Red Bull currently sponsor a number of teams around the world
New York Red Bulls,
FC Red Bull Salzburg,
RB Leipzig
I think you can see where i'm coming from, I don't think I could stomach FC Red Bull Leeds or some derivative of that but would like to hear your views.

1.) They won't invest in a club for its identity then take it away ' this is our 10th year out of the prem and we have won one trophy in the last 43 years and we can still attract a company with a 5bn turnover. ground and ta renamed and anybody saying any different is being mischevious.

2.) So the league in 1992 doesn't count. That was 21 years ago not 43.

3.) 25 Jul 2013 12:20:31
That's the trophy he meant when he said 1 mate

4.) So 43 years ago (1970) - Since then we have won the Fairs Cup (1971), 1st Division (73-74 / 91-92), FA Cup (1972), Charity Shield (1992) and the 2nd Division Championship (89-90) - 7 trophies in all, although not all the biggest trophies they are trophies after all

To the second post, don't be so ridiculous, age aside he is nothing but a trouble causer and would upset the dressing room, I cannot honestly see him being a BMD kind of player thank god.

There's not many modern day footballers I could give the ''LEGEND'' status to but this man deserves it in bucket loads.

Fryatt has had a bad Achilles injury since his goalscoring fest and broke down on two occasions during recovery, my point is would we be buying into another injury prone player.
