One thing that stood out today for me was our lack of pace at the back. Time after time we were exposed as a result. But a satisfactory result overall, especially considering our poor record in London.

I agree, we looked a bit leggy at times but I am not sure we were exposed "time and time. " I think they got behind us four times all game and three times they were offside?

I think whatever happens with the manager, an even bigger problem is the recruitment, there needs to be drastic changes made. Underwood and his mates are out of their depth.

Yep said it before to work so hard to get back to the Prem and have such a poor inexperienced recruiting team is scandalous the 49s have to take most of the blame for that.

Having a bigger name for a manager would help with that though. DF is no draw whatsoever for players and that was one of the issues we had in summer.

Lot of stick from Leeds fans about Sunderland’s recruitment in the summer would seam to be a great job done in the end what we would give to have that lot now.

Well, this was an abysmal performance, and whilst Farke is totally inflexible and sticks to his guns, he is not the only one to blame. The team today was weaker than last season's, and for that, blame lies with blunderwood. The guy is totally inadequate, and who appointed him to should be the first out of the door. His buying has been atrocious, and the attack today league 1 standard.
Come January and if we need to make signings, who would be confident that he would be able to bring the right people in.
Also, Farke does not trust his youngsters, in an injury situation like this, at least give one a change, they can't surely do worse than our two wingers today.

I agree with some of the above, yes it was the Championship last season, but that team out there wasn't as good as last season. I know we have had injuries, but the recruiting of players with an injury record is contributing to the situation. Some of us probably sound like a broken record, but I will say it again, the powers that be knew we had to sign a quality striker and they didn't.

For an element of balance, England do not have world class players in my opinion.

That pretty much sums up my feelings 100% Corkey, they should be given the boot, whatever else happens. The recruitment needs a complete overhaul.

It was a poor window, but he should be getting more out of the players. His tactics, game management and team selection is very poor.

That is a really good idea c&j, but only a few managers will have the guts to try something like that. Bogle has plenty of pace, and can beat a man, why not try it for a half, and change it if it’s not working. Tomorrow would be an ideal time due to the injury situation.
