Massimo Cellino. has won his appeal check Leeds United OS

"Massimo Cellino has been granted approval to complete the purchase of a majority stake in Leeds United.

The approval, which came via appeal after being initially turned down by the Football League, will see Eleonora Sport take a 75% stakeholding in the club while former majority shareholders GFH Capital and investors will retain 25%.

Completion of the acquisition will see Massimo Cellino take up the position as President of Leeds United, and he will head up a new-look board."

Now Mr Cellino, buy t' other 25% and let's have GFH out completely.

SURVIVOR been meeting with MC mates and told us ALL FL would turn him down ;)
Survivor we all love rumours but you made 10 in the last 3 days and horribly wrong, the massimo/Farnham deal fell through when massimo got full control.

I'd lay low for a while buddy ;(

I've skim read Kerr's written reasons (okay I should get out more). The short of it is that, albeit criminal, the yacht conviction was not a conviction for an offence of dishonesty. It is true that Cellino remains innocent until he has exhausted appeal procedures in Italian law but Kerr explicitly rejects that argument as a basis for his appeal asking why someone convicted of this offence in Italy should be treated more favourably that someone convicted in the UK, USA etc where they would be treated as guilty even though an appeal was in process. Makes sense but fortunately irrelevant .

Makes you wonder if the original decision was in fact an anti Leeds vote by a number of the people who had vested interest in Leeds going into administration! If the QC thought they had got it wrong then the FL need to look at themselves and the make up of their committees that make decisions about other clubs. I think BMD has just managed his last game!

Fantastic news! Even though we lost I'm feeling pretty happy tonight :) First thing we need to do is purchase back ER and TA, as long as keeping hold of our youngsters like Sam and Mowatt.
