whats happening to this site, no rumours, no banter.its my insight to what's happening at the club. {Ed013's Note - It is always the same over the International period. I will let you into some inside info that I am constantly deleting; Beckford, Alan Smith, Gradel and Messi are all signing tomorrow! Ooops, FACT! Other than that mate it is quiet, why not try getting some interaction going? How about who was the first Leeds United player that gave you inspiration? Would any player since the turn of the year 2000 make the list? If this goes well I will make a poll to find out the favourite}

Because of my age my main time when I started watching was 2001, at the time I started playing aswell and started as a left back, so Ian Harte was was kinda my idol at that age, looking back. Mustn't of really had much of a clue! Although his set plays were quality. {Ed013's Note - Fair play mate, good choice}

My insperation was mark viduka. Still should of sold him when ac Milan offered 25 mil. Couldve signed young Torres or Ronaldinho when he was at psg

Tony Currie would have to be my first inspiration, great player, gutted when we sold him to QPR. Post 2000 it would have to be Gary Speed although Batty, McAllister and Strachan push him close, WHAT a midfield!

Post 2000?! They'd all gone by 1997!

Alan Clarke when I was growing up - had posters of him on my wall. I see James Milner came on tonight - we should never have let him go!

Viduka. Could of played in any of the great Leeds sides. Any team for that matter.

It's a hard one as bowyer, bakke, smith, Kewell and viduka were all quality players during the champions league era for us and they all played together so well but if I had to choose it would be viduka. Especially the goal at highbury to keep us up. I was only like 10 and I remember it like it was yesterday, I was that overwhelmed I punched the carpet floor and broke my index finger ha!

David Batty. He seemed to epitomize what Leeds stood for when I was growing up.
I loved Speedo too. He seemed to ooze class, . effortless skill and composure.
Strachs for his will to win. He wanted it. and everyone knew it. We d win because Strach made sure of it. ( a bit like BMc said after the last game)
. , the player that most got the heart racing was Yeboah. When he got the ball, everyone seemed to hold their breath. He s going to leather it!

Bobby Collins who we bought from Everton when he was supposed to be past it. Was most inspirational signing ever. He started the whole mighty whites thing off. Johnny files replaced him after bobby Collins suffered an horrendous broken leg. Away to Valencia. Bobby was only player I have seen who could bend a ball both ways at same time. From 30 yards or under his free kicks caused mayem. Any one else remember wee bobby?
